Igor came on time. He is amazingly knowledgeable about Míele appliances and pleasant to work with. He updated the firmware on the 8-year-old dishwasher. After discussing water hardness with the building engineer he change the internal softener setting, which will reduce use of salt and protect the racks from rust. He demonstrated cleaning the microfiber pores in the filter and brushed out grime deep in the hinges. I debated the cost for a certified repair shop and now I am confident it was the right choice. read more

Excellent, courteous, Miele-knowledgeable service. So nice to have an English speaking professional perform. After posting this review, a troublesome hitch developed, one that prompts me to alter my previously unqualified five-star favorable review. The problem is that the serviceman mistakenly failed properly to adjust the kick-plate which prevented the door from closing, which prevented the machine from being used, and which necessitated a new appointment and waiting window. This proved to be seriously inconvenient for me. In my view, the owner, Roman, should have accommodated for his company's mistake and should that day have made arrangements for a service person to return that day. He didn't accommodate my request, requiring me to cancel a doctor's appointment previously scheduled on the first date a service person could come. Not good. Now my review, sadly, is reduced to three stars. I don't like feeling that I must give an honest review, which is below five stars. In my view, a five star review connotes perfect service. So, when the owner was apprised that the service was immediately imperfect, he should have bent over backwards to make things right on the day that the appointment occurred. Between the owner's inconvenience and mine, it's the owner who should have suffered the inconvenience on the day that things should have been right, not wrong. By this review, I'm letting him know he should have done better, way better. This is my final follow up: Igor, who's the person who mistakenly failed properly to adjust the kick plate, came out on Monday and quickly fixed the problem. He's knowledgeable and a delight. Since he's so pleasant, I've updated my star allocation to four stars, solely because of him. My Miele dishwasher broke down suddenly: i was disappointed as i had paid the big $ to avoid early repairs. Well, $ 850 later , it worked again: $550 for the electronic motherboard and $250 for the repair done in less than 30 minutes Miele refused to consider any discount and left it to Ria to propose something. Well nothing was proposed and I sucked up the cost of the repair. (BTW The whole new appliance was about $ 2,600 so the repair was 1/3 of the price!) I have to say the repair was professional and courteous but i would have liked to pay a little less; Hopefully, I will have a long warranty for the price. Maybe in the future , I will buy a different brand next time instead of the usual infatuation with Miele. read more

Some you win, some you lose. You are welcome everyone for paying $255 to be told how to replace the cover for my drain pump propeller (dishwasher wasn't draining so I cleared the propeller but apparently had not replaced the cover correctly, what should be a very simple task -- the instructions in the Miele manual say: "Refit the cover by placing it down vertically from above ["Ensure the catch engages correctly."]" The *catch* is ... there is no catch, there is no audible "click" for me ... so you just have to make sure it is pretty solidly in place by pushing on it afterward from the sides to make sure it doesn't move, otherwise the dishwasher still won't drain. The nice repairman acknowledged that this drain cover is a new design and has caused no end of trouble for people like me. Presumably this is how Miele specialists stay in business when business is slow (kind of like the old Maytag repairman). Igor was helpful and pleasant, so please forgive me for bitter, sarcastic story, I really should stop buying German luxury brands if I am this cheap... maybe next time I'll just give up on frugality completely and get something Scandinavian. read more

Very disappointing experience. My Miele dishwasher was stopping in the middle of the cycle. Called Roman but because no error code was displayed on the machine , he didn't know what to do and made very little effort to do anything. Wasted $205 for the 15 mins of his time. Thank you, Roman! After two unsuccessful attempts to repair my 15+ year old dishwasher with other repair service companies, I called Miele customer service. Gordon from Miele referred several certified Miele technicians. I called Roman of RIA Appliances who promptly returned my call, scheduled a service time and then called back when he had an opening that was earlier. He was on time, diagnosed the problem (it was a faulty sensor) gave a reasonable estimate, and repaired the machine. Have had issues with my Miele incognito dishwasher. Roman was prompt in returning my call. He made a time to come over and assess. Made a diagnosis after running a few tests and told me the cost of what the repair would be. It would require him to order a part. He asked for 50% of the total cost of the repair, told when the part would come and he called back to return to install it. Machine is now working great again. Roman knows what he is doing. RIA is the best appliance service I have ever used. Too bad he only fixes Miele. Roman is responsive, punctual, knowledgeable, and personable. He immediately confirmed that the problem with my washing machine was the door seal. I had ordered from Miele and paid extra for expedited shipping but found out he stocks all the parts and could have provided for about $50 less than I paid as he doesn't mark-up. He has a standard fee so you don't have to worry about # of hours. He came on time and quickly replaced the seal without having to take the machine apart. I was tricked into calling AES repair for my Miele dishwasher. Was worse after Paul left. Thankfully I found Roman at RIA . He is certified for Miele. He figured out what the previous company had done incorrectly. Using Miele software he got the codes for the problem and fixed it. No big deal at all. The real deal. Miele's are expensive but they're worth it. My dishwasher is the best I've ever owned and has worked carefree for years and years. I had my first breakdown this week.
