    I wanted to love the food but am disgusted. I ordered 1/2 lb of moist brisket. What I got was mostly inedible fat and not much meat. i also had 2 pork ribs that were ok but nothing special. Be sure to check to-go orders before you leave!

    We've driven by Mighty Oak a million times over the past year, and hubs decided that today was going to be rib day! We went to try them out, and are so glad we did! Hubs got a half rack of baby back ribs that were fall-off-the-bone amazing! the drug had just the right amount of saltiness and the homemade barbecue sauce was a perfect foil for the salt of the ribs. He's still talking about them hours after we ate there! I had the one meat plate with brisket (moist and super flavorful) and homemade Mac n cheese and baked beans. I am tremendously happy that I have leftovers to take to lunch tomorrow! Mighty Oak is conveniently located next to Black Clover bar, so you can get your drink on AND have amazing barbecue at the same time! The staff/owners were super friendly and service was awesome! I think we've found our new go-to BBQ place!

    Great little stop for some good food. Got chopped brisket, pastor salad and Mac, paired with sweet tea and don't forget the banana pudding!

    Banana pudding, worth the hype. 10/10 made with love. Has the stamp of approval with the empty container. Tested 5 in the city & it took the crown

    First thing i have to say this hurts. I wanted this to work because they are so nice. But this is a place to buy food, and they are not ready to do that here. The sides are okay, but the meat is either dry and bland(pulled pork) or very overcooked (possibly a reheated leftover), and the sausage, that gave us the food poisoning. I won't go into it, but look elsewhere.

    The service was impeccable and the wait time was minimal which was great. I will support small business owners however improvements IMO needs to be made. I ordered chicken and moist/fatty brisket with coleslaw and mac & cheese. The slaw was wonderful with just the right amount of vinegar however mac & cheese had a weird taste to it that I just couldn't overcome. The chicken was a bit dry and the brisket was far from being on the moist side. I will continue to get my BBQ elsewhere. Three stars for the service and good slaw.

    This is REAL bbq... with slow cooked delish non fatty bbq... it's BOMB and worth the reasonable prices.

    Slow smoked barbecue is the best with a side of mac & cheese and some banana pudding definitely hit the spot! Will definitely be back.

The beef cheeks were melt-in-your-mouth tender and perfectly seasoned, and the sticky ribs had great flavor. For the amount of hype, long wait times, and "best in Texas" reputation, I left pretty disappointed. I honestly don't understand why this place is considered number one in the state.

The two meat plate is listed as 1/4 lb per meat, but what we've been served lately is one slice of brisket and one rib, compared to earlier visits where we'd get closer to two slices and two ribs. It just doesn't line up with the expectation or the price. Speaking of price, we spent $89 for three people, which would be fine if portions and availability matched what's advertised. Also tried the green beans for the first time. Unfortunately, they were the worst part of the meal by far. I really wanted to keep this place in regular rotation because when they're on, they're really on. But between running out of key items and shrinking portions, it's been a letdown lately.
