I normally come here after a hard days work out at the ranch. Today I brought my son and wife. We ordered a pound of brisket, two brisket chalupas, cucumber salad and a brisket taco. Well, I bit into a piece of metal in the cucumber salad. It appeared to have been a large staple, a small fish hook, or a piece of a can shaving. I immediately showed it to them, and they refunded me the salad and comped me two deserts. I poked a small hole in my lip. I will forever stay away from the sides from this place and go straight carnivore here. I hate writing reviews like this, but feel others need to be forewarned.

My life is a lie. I thought I'd eaten BBQ, WRONG! My husband and I are traveling cross country and driving through Texas. We obviously couldn't leave without some Texas BBQ. So as we drive towards Florida we're leaving Texas and Schulze's angry that we'll likely never eat there again. Absolutely amazing, the food, the service, the atmosphere. Nothing is better for a road trip than to make a BBQ pit stop. We found this place on our way to Canyon Lake for the holiday weekend. Our original lunch plans fell through the our fellow yelpers helped us find this place. Parking was pretty easy, they had a decent sized lot with plenty of spaces. It's counter style and the woman taking our order was so kind! We ordered the brisket, 2 types of sausage and the warm potato salad. After we ordered, we got our drinks and found a table. There was plenty of seating the staff were really nice. They did an extra wipe down of our table to ensure it was clean enough. When our food came, that was all she wrote. We didn't have the fatty brisket, but it was still moist and full of that smoky flavor. The potato salad was cheesy, great texture, like if a baked potato and potato salad had a baby. Our friend got the brisket sandwich which she also really liked. The Mac and cheese she had with it was also pretty good, nice and creamy. It's you're driving through Seguin, this is a great place to stop through!

This was my first visit and it's much better than the place in downtown Seguin where you have to stand in line for hours. And if you dare write a review the owner will chastise you for not giving it five stars. But here the food has flavor the brisket was tender and juicy. The sausage was flavorful and I got the regular. I got the two meat combo plate. I wish they offered chicken on it. But they don't. I also had the tat-or tot casserole and green beans. For dessert the peach crumble. I had heard they were expensive but I didn't find that true. They do have a full service bar on Friday and Saturday Worth going to and not waiting in a two hour wait.

Great bbq place. The brisket was so good as well as the baked potato salad. Loved reading about the family history in the hallway.

The stop this trip that I've been the most excited for is Schulze's Pitroom all because of the sausages they are slinging. Pushing the boundaries of sausage boldly going where I one has gone before. I purposely didn't look at their social media for the last month because I wanted to be surprised by the sausage special. I roll in today to see the butcher paper "In-N-Out Double Double animal style sausage". . . I take a bite and no joke the PA system starts playing "Times Like These"-Foo Fighters and I'm chomping at this sausage hearing these lyrics. Listening to a song and eating a sausage that hits the nostalgia of my formative years growing up in San Diego. The pieces of burger patties, pickles, bun, onions and fries were all one singular unit but you could taste and feel each as you bite. All bound together with the sausage spices. The fries! As I was biting it was giving California Burrito as well maybe because of the form and it being filled out with fatty beef. I've had two "religious experiences" with sausage in my life and both have been in Seguin, Tx. Rewording the lyrics, "It's bites like these you learn to live/love again" Oh also the brisket was fantastic. Nice and peppery and the fat cap melted wonderfully in my mouth. The ribs with the glaze! Such a fatty rib. Slightly sweet with a chili flavor that reminded me more of Gochugaru and Korean chili peppers more than what you find in regular chili in the west. But man. That sausage. I keep talking to ppl and I feel that sausage is the meat item where you get feel the soul and creativity of the pit master the most boldly stated. I need to come again when I'm in the area for the next soul shaking sausage they have on rotation.

Trying to explore the local places that have barbecue. This is one of the good ones. I had the brisket sandwich. The wife had the brisket potato, the only meat they had at 6:30 on a Monday was brisket and the wife got the last potato so you might want to get here early if you want more choices. The meat was flavorful. It was very tender. However there is no evidence of a smoke ring. I believe they cook it in advance and refrigerate it, taking it out and use it as needed. There really isn't anything wrong with that and if you always want to have some meat available that's probably the best way to do it. The alternative is keeping it out under the hot lights which just dries it up or having what you have until you run out. The fries are coated which is a disappointment to me so I passed on those. The wife thought the potato, fully loaded with the brisket, was very tasty and she enjoyed it. Besides the lack of selection at that time of day, the only other downside was they're putting chairs up on the tables before 7:00, more than an hour before they closed. I understand the expediency but I do not appreciate the way it feels like they're saying: " hurry up and get out of here." Some places offer an assortment of barbecue sauces from mild to the very hot and other places have one idea what the barbecue sauce should be like and that's what they offer. This is a place where they only have one. It wasn't bad sauce but I prefer having options The place is pretty clean and the ordering process is very efficient. They give you a buzzer and when your food's ready you go pick it up when your buzzer goes off. I wouldn't mind stopping in again the next time I'm in Seguin or heading that way, but I don't think I would go out of my way to get there from New Braunfels.

Randomly found this spot on Yelp decided to show up and try it. Was surprised by how good it was. The brisket was fall apart super delicious not too much seasoning or under seasoned. Sausage was really good as well & potato did not disappoint. The mac and cheese could use a little help but still delicious overall. Would definitely come back when I'm nearby. The day I went they had a live performance too, got a table next to the performer and was a complete vibe

Open, welcoming interior with country music in the background. Order at the counter and food was ready within a few minutes. Brisket is delicious! Nice bark and smoke ring. Moist and juicy, tender and flavorful. This meat does not need BBQ sauce. House sauce is OK, very tomato forward in flavor. Pinto beans side was decent size with a great smoky flavor. Would definitely eat here again.

The bbq at this place is delicious it was and is worth the drive. Plenty of room inside and outside to sit down. You order at the counter and they'll give you a number to let you know when your order is ready. The service is very polite and fast also. Plenty of parking and they have a drive thru also. I would go back cuz the food is worth the drive.

Went on a Friday at 745pm and had no wait. Counter staff was pleasant. You order at the counter and then go back and pick up your food when it is ready. The brisket was good, but kind of salty. The baked potato was perfectly cooked. Bbq sauce was nothing special, but it was good. We would go back!

We had the chicken with sides. We try to be low saturated fat, no sugar. I think we succeeded. It was delicious.

Their brisket is divine and the sides we chose were out of this world. My husband loves their beans. The green beans were unique and I appreciated that they were super flavorful with tomatoes and delicious broth. The star of the show with the sides was the King Ranch Mac N Cheese!!!! I grew up on King Ranch Chicken Casserole as a child. So I was thrilled to have a macaroni with those delicious flavors. For a little history, that particular casserole emerged in the 1950s as a convenient, post-World War II Tex-Mex comfort food. Despite its name, it has no actual ties to Texas's famous King Ranch; instead, it is a creative, canned-soup-based casserole inspired by the Mexican dish chilaquiles. I am ususally underwhelmed by macaroni and cheese but this was the best. The macaroni shape was unusual and the closest I could find online was called "Radiator" because the similarity in shape to a radiator. It held the sauce perfectly though. McKayla helped us cart out our food to the car and was so sweet and helpful. We love Burnt Bean and plan to return!

Around 8:30 lots of people showed up and the line wrapped around the corner. Sun was not on us for the first hour. Second hour was hot but luckily around 10:20 they announced they were opening early YAY! We were eating by 10:45. Very organized, they have water out while you wait. Ok now the food: We got 2.5 lbs brisket 1.5 lbs ribs 1 link sausage which was .5 lb .5 burnt ends 1.5 lbs drumsticks which was 3 legs Pint Mac and cheese Pint Beans I got 1 chopped sandwich to take home. This was plenty for us 3 healthy eaters. Best part was the chicken 10/10 it was like a turkey leg from Fiesta iykyk. Cinco sausage- 9/10 flavor on point a bit crumbly Ribs were also 10/10 a bit sweet and sticky but smokey Burnt ends were perfect Brisket- 8.75/10 now here is where I get picky. It was amazing, flavorful, fatty and tender BUT it was a bit too tender so the texture was more like pot roast than brisket. A mix between smoked and oven brisket. Not terrible but not what I like. So i give it 8.75. Mac and cheese- 5/10 my two Mac loving companions did not care for it. It was more queso with pasta added than macaroni and cheese. Beans- 9/10 they were delish with the cheese! Tastes like frito pie. Chili beans but soo good. Potato salad: 8/10 very tia backyard style but could be elevated. Bacon ranch taters 10/10 they gave us a sample and husband loved it! Said he wished he got that vs the mac. Comes with pickles and martins bread. Drinks- sweet tea was legit and in a big to go cup 10/10 Tips: Free beer! They have free yueling beers for dine in. Plenty of to go containers and bags. Lots of seating but we were front of line. Reviews say 2 hour parking but thats M-F. Plenty of spots around the block if you come later. Nice little downtown area but lots of places are closed before 10. Lots of cool people in line! Chatted with a few and it was a vibe. Big question- would I wait 2 hours again? Yes if you go in better weather. This was late August and it gets hot fast. If you're taking your friends/family then yes make it an event, fans, chairs, coolers, music etc. Overall its really good and worth a trip for the chicken alone.
