9/14/24 Continuing our day in Napa from lunch, Zach and I decided to try out a new winery since the one we normally go to was fully booked. Migration winery has great service, friendly staff and if you have a doggo, they will be taken care of as well. Brandon, the assistant manager was very welcoming and friendly. He walked us over to our table and made sure Coco had everything she needed too like a water bowl and even a doggie bed. She didn't use the doggie bed too much, but we really appreciated the gesture. In addition to getting flights and a charcuterie board, we also got a charcuterie board for Coco which she loved. We got the upgraded charcuterie board since the first one we got was so small. Thomas was our wine expert that day and he was very kind, always checking in making sure we were doing okay. Zach and I enjoyed our time at Migration Winery. Would definitely return. read more

First of, this place is extremely dog friendly. There were both dogs inside and outside on the covered patio. They offer $15 barkuterie boards for the pups too and both my dogs loved it, and we even had enough to take home some home. They even wrote the dogs names on it. Dominique was amazing! She did a wonderful job explaining the history of migration and the wines to us. She even allowed us to sample other wines before we made a decision to purchase a bottle. The wine - not as great as Duckhorn I must admit. Nothing really stood out. Food - they give you a small plate of cheese, nuts, and crackers complimentary on arrival. We purchased a charcuterie plate for $40 and it was delicious, would totally recommend. It paired well with the wines. Loved how unpretentious this winery was. I would definitely recommend this place. This place is one of my favorites. All the wine here is delicious from the bubbles, whites and reds. They won't disappoint. They have both inside and outside seating and dog friendly too. Service was impeccable we loved Dominique. She had great energy and was very informative. The tasting is kinda pricey which was $55 for 4 tasting but I think it's worth the experience. I can't wait to go back again. Location is so nice - lovely set for tasting and not pretentious. The wine tasting is done so well with your wine glass on the description of the wine - so you really understand what you are tasting. The staff is lovely, we were there as the first outing since my dad passed and we told our server and she was so kind and sincere and brought us champagne to toast him. We needed her kind touch and she couldn't have handled our situation better. Thank you! And to make this winery even more fantastic they have a dog plate on their menus!!! Ambiance and presentation 10:10 for this place! Cozy patio with heaters and blankets, great couches and chairs and dog friendly. State of the art facility. Private room is cozy and intimate and inside is also unique and fun. Staff was great, lots of helpers and lots of them roaming around so you are never looking around for attention. Educator Karie (sp?) was amazing. Very passionate about wine, new to the business but very intelligent and personable. Made the wine a story and included personal anecdotes. Highly recommend her. Only complaint was you can't pick the flight, as this is part of the commercial operation they are running. They are very fine tuned, and very efficient so you can't be mad, but the tasting we received included grapes we don't care for/prefer. While letting us go rouge and pick the grapes/wines is not as efficient from a business standpoint, it's also something many wineries in the area do offer. We were able to try those off the list in order to find a few we wanted to take home, but it would have been nice to skip some that we know we'd never buy. Also, they don't waive the tasting fee for bottle purchases, so for that I can't give them a 5. Vibes are on point, snacks on point and staff on point. We came here with our little dog for the barkuterie board and the vegan charcuterie board. Our host Cristal was phenomenal. Great wines, the pup had a blast, and the vegan cheeses were out of this world. Even if you don't get the charcuterie board they can make the nuts and cheese plate plant based. The vegan charcuterie requires at least 24 hours notice so they can prepare it, but it's totally worth it, we were in heaven. The tasting came with a rose that apparently is not vegan and they switched it out with a sparkling champagne that was. Our dog was brought a bed and a water bowl, and loved the snacks on his board. He also made friends with the dog at the table next to us. Such a great experience! We'd love to come back. read more

My sister is a member of the Duckhorn Winery Portfolio and let me tell you the staff at Migration are the best in all of Napa, they truly are amazing!!! I just found out they are going to be closing Migration, this is heartbreaking. This place is located right when you get into Napa has a beautiful patio and fantastic inside. Migration is a must stop for my partner and I when we're visiting Napa. He's a member at Duckhorn and we have been coming to Migration since they were a pop-up in their parking lot. Everything from the service, to the dog-friendliness, to the wines, to the ambience have been amazing. Because of the positive experiences we've had, it's hard for us to go to the other wineries after making our stop at Migration. I decided to take my mom, her best friend, and my brother here to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday. My mom had been here before, but it was the first time for her best friend and my brother. Everyone from Bryan, our Sommelier, to Karie (I'm so sorry if I got her name wrong), who gave us a tour of where all the wine is bottled, made my mom's birthday so special. I can't say enough wonderful things about Migration Winery. I've been here a handful of times now and each experience has always been incredible in both service and the wines. My wife and I first came to Migration Winery because it's incredibly dog friendly and our labradoodle Abby loves going to wineries as much as her mom's do. You can even order a 'barkuterie' plate'. We loved the wine and experience so much that we ended up joining their wine club on our 2nd visit. The tasting experiences we've had, the staff have been incredibly knowledgeable about the wines and extremely friendly. Migration is a sister winery to quite a few including Duckhorn, Goldeneye and Paraduxx. We enjoy tasting a sampling of their collection of wines on our visit. I highly recommend visiting and tasting. This was my first wine tasting experience with my dog, Penny, and it was such a good experience. We were greeted by the friendly hostess and sat outside per our request. However, we changed our mind, and sat inside because it was noisy outside and Penny was stressed. All the workers were so friendly and accommodating. They greeted Penny, brought her a bed and water bowl. We got the migration seated tasting and it was five tasting which included brut rose, Chardonnay and Pinot noir. Our host, Bryan, was very friendly and welcoming. He was also very knowledgeable and we connected on a personal level about SJ Sharks. We also ordered the barkuterie plate and it had a lot of dog goodies. Overall, it was a good experience and everything was reasonably. Went here for my birthday and loved it so much I got a membership that same visit! Had Thomas assisting us for the day. He has only been at the winery for a month I believe but he was awesome and super knowledgeable. Thank you for making my birthday visit a great one! Will definitely be back soon. We did our tasting outdoors and though it was chilly, they offered blankets and also had outdoor heaters which made it very comfortable. Great winery. Very friendly staff and dog friendly. They have charcuterie boards for both humans and dogs. They brought over a bowl of water for my dog and offered treats and even a bed! We came just take have a glass of bubbly. $15/glass for their brut rose. Very good. And, the setting is just beautiful. Their standard tasting is $55 and comes with 5 wines plus snacks! Hands down the most dog welcoming winery we have been to in Napa! Lots of tasting rooms in Napa will say they are dog friendly, but exactly how welcome our pup is can vary a lot. I loved that we were able to pre-order treats for our pup when we made our reservation and it was such a beautiful spread. The atrium where we sat was also very comfortable on a chilly but sunny day. Service was prompt and very friendly. Also made our tasting experience a lot of fun and we very much enjoyed the little "tour" we took of California through these wines. My girls and I had such HIGH hopes for this wine tasting. One of my girlfriends is a member and so since she needed to pick up her wines for the month, we made it into a brunch/tasting kind of Saturday. She and I truly enjoyed our time in Duckhorn. I was a fan of Migration wines (so as my siblings, we heard of them through Ross Cobb (winemaker) b/c he did some wines for Golden Eye). Thus, I was truly excited to finally go here. Also, I was looking forward to buying their Rose (not bubbly) that I just had for dinner with my sister at Thanh Long. The location is a bit off - really off the grid - could be a good thing or a bad thing b/c you don't know if you're truly going in the right direction. I just trusted Google Maps. The pros: 1. Plenty of parking. 2. Modern design - very inviting environment. 3. The inside sitting were very comfy - we got seated by the sofa section The cons: 1. The wines - we all had the reds and the whites. Oh man - I think the wine member and I just sipped once and then done. It was awful. I don't know what happened. I'll share the photos. 2. Our server barely checked on us. I get that it was a busy Saturday afternoon and it was later in the day, but give us some attention, please. Also, it was weird to hear her story of being new to the team and she's someone from the Midwest. If you're new to this winery's family...good luck! We are Paraduxx wine club members, which provides 4 tastings complimentary at their sister wineries. This was our first time at Migration Winery. We came a few days after Christmas on a Wednesday. It was not too busy. Could have been the rain or the weather or because it was mid week. Upon arrival we were given the option to be seated outdoors or indoors. We decided with outdoors since we were told there were blankets and heaters. Of note, it was still pretty cold! So if you need more blankets, kindly ask your host! I feel terrible but I don't remember the name of the server--he did a great job though. He spent time explaining the wines and answered any questions we had. He also allowed us to taste a cab and another Pinot. Since it was NY, he also gave each of us a Glass of sparkling rose. Cheers! Wine is good, but it's the experience that is memorable. I'm glad Migration pre-pours their wine in individual glasses-thus allowing guests to go back and forth between wines. We went home with a magnum of the Pinot and 3 bottles of their rose. I would come back again, perhaps during the summer. 1 suggestion I do have is perhaps adding some tall Shrubs or trees in the front so the freeway isn't visible from the outdoor seating. It takes away from the beauty of the property. read more

For a Chardonnay lover like me, this is the place to be coz they offer Chardonnay flights!! And it gets even better when you are a wine club member! Some of the finest Pinot noir and Chardonnay in Napa valley is poured here. I thought there was a pop up tent but now they have a lovely tasting room! We usually like smaller local producers whereas Migration is owned by Duckhorn. That said, all of their wines were good (tasted two chards, a sauv blanc, and three pinots), but their Tondre pinot was really good (we like Tondre in general- Testarossa, Wrath, and other makers- always consistently a great pinot), and their Running Creek Chardonnay was probably in a top ten chard for me of all time- made in the more Chablis style- you could taste the acid and minerality, not a butter bomb. Also, the service was amazing- loved seeing other peoples dogs, they even have a "barkuterie" plate for the pups. Krystal was great- good job of engaging while also giving us space. We called at 3pm and they were able to seat us. read more

Migration was an amazing winery experience and they are extremely dog friendly too. Fully expecting to be relegated to the outdoor patio since we had dogs, they gladly sat us inside with our pups. They brought out dog beds so the dogs weren't sitting on the cold floor, and brought out a bowl of water for them. We also ordered a "barkcuterie" board for the pups which kept their attention during our tasting. As for the tasting, the entire experience was perfection. The staff knew our names upon arrival. Ok...so to start off, I am NOT a Pinot person...but their wines AND their service are both top notch! I LOVE having them as the first winery, specially since they are the first you come across for the most part on the way up to Napa. Recently they have started to change their tasting monthly so it's a guessing game as to what one might be trying, which is good and bad. Bad, if you like what you're getting and you might not get it the next time you go. Good, that you get different wines each time to keep a variety and tasting new and wonderful wines! I usually try and grab the 10am spots because I'm the first one there so it's more personal, and I get the whole place to myself or whoever I'm bringing as well as the pick of literally any seat I want. They have so many amazing wines and the fact that they are part of the Duckhorn portfolio allows you to try wines from other wineries in their portfolio, which is AWESOME! It of course always depends on your wine tastes as to what to choose but the staff is super knowledgeable and can definitely help you decide if you are having a tough time choosing between a few different ones. I'm a Duckhorn Portfolio club member (totally worth) and booked a tasting during Labor Day weekend. Absolutely love the aesthetic. The vibe is extremely chill and the staff is extremely friendly.
