Omg!!! I can't even make this a long review. Everything is chef's kiss!! I believe I found this place on Instagram or TikTok. I had the bacon egg and cheese and pizza empanadas: Hands-down, the best empanada I've ever had in my life! The dough is so soft and flaky in the filling ratio is simply PERFECT. They have a variety of sauces to choose from, and I got the garlic sauce, which was a perfect pairing with the empanadas. I also had the strawberry dragon fruit drink that was really tasty as well. The merch is also too stinkin' cute!!! I need a tumbler on my next visit. This is one of those places that you truly have to experience for yourself. It was well worth the long drive across the center of the Earth to get here. I will have to make a monthly visit here! read more

What an excellent and wonderful spot. I saw this place and had to share ass by to experience it. The girl who took my order was very knowledgeable of all the different selections as well as took her time explaining the business and family history. This was a pretty nice discovery! Was driving and my eyes just saw EMPANADAS and had to go in. Turns out the place just opened. Different flavor empanadas, savory and sweet. So excited to see this place open up! The staff was super friendly, and they had a ton of both savory and sweet flavors. Heard about this gem via a Facebook Group for Charlotte Foodies. Swung by on Memorial Day with the family and picked up a box. We tried several options - both sweet & savory - and enjoyed all of them [even our often frustratingly picky children]. I've been here twice now, and each time I haven't been disappointed! It's a brand new restaurant that's family owned, and operated with hopes of becoming bigger and growing, and with how they're doing these empanadas, I don't think they'll have any problem with that! First time I went I had their regular shredded beef, and shredded chicken empanadas. And with their signature sauces, they were very good! The second time I went, I tried their beef with red wine empanada, and it's my new favorite one. I honestly think I'm spoiled now because I'm gonna underestimate every other empanada I eat from now on In addition to those flavors, they have dessert flavors, which are extremely delicious. The brownie and Nutella flavor is my favorite, while my mom loves the guava and cheese. They even have huge cups of Tres leches, and other desserts. Finally, they do a great job with combos, and they even have merch that you can buy, I'm curious because I really like to try the imported Colombian coffee. Miguelo's is a diamond in the rough! We were visiting our son and he recommended this place...so glad he did! Love the cute brand and welcoming atmosphere as soon as you open the door. I don't know too much about empanadas so staff was enthusiastic to help! Husband and I got a six pack and loved ALL of them. Miguelo's empanadas is so good! We loved every empanada we tried. The spicy beef and choriqueso were two of the best. The bbq is also really good and different. For dessert you won't be disappointed with the guava and cream cheese empanada. Well you'll be sad that you didn't order more than one! Customer service is great. I finally made it in for a "cheat" lunch/dinner. I have been eagerly awaiting their opening since the "coming soon" sign went up. It did not disappoint. I bought the six empanada box with lofty hopes of sharing leftovers with my wife when she gets home. There are no leftovers. The service was awesome. I sampled (read devoured every last crumb) of the spicy beef, carne mechada, choriqueso, BBQ, ground beef, and tres leches. The sauces were also amazing. The prices were more than reasonable for the incredible quality. Each was literally oozing with flavor. About that oozing, you will need lots of napkins. I can't recommend this enough for a quick, flavorful meal--- though I do recommend more temperance than I exercised today. read more

OMG! We stopped by this week after I failed to cook dinner. And OMG the empanadas were so good, we went back again the next day to get more. Absolutely delicious. My favorite is the Carne Merchada and we loved the Apple Empanadas for dessert! Highly recommend. read more

I said, "hey don't talk to her like that" to which the owner replied, "she's my wife" somehow implying that it changed things. Things only escalated from there. This business does not care about its customers, it's verbally abusing its employees, and its food is not that good. All this happened in the small vendor space of a 9x15 stall or something's like that. Way too customer facing for this. The owner replied to my review privately below. Hopefully the bueiness learns something about the value of their customers, employees, family, and FOOD. Make your food with love. If you don't love it. Don't do it.

I also tried the mini arepas, which came with beans, chicken salad, and pork. I was actually surprised that the bean arepa ended up being my favorite. It was packed with so much flavor. The chicken salad was okay, but I felt like it could have used a little more seasoning. The pork was really good and seasoned to perfection. I also had their cachapas, which came with fried cheese, steak, and a sweet corn pancake. The steak could have used a little more seasoning, but the sweet corn pancake was amazing. I would highly recommend the food, and their drinks are very good as well. It is a small restaurant, so there is not a ton of space, but it has a great vibe inside. Now, as far as the service, my first visit was amazing. The second time, however, the service was not good. We sat on the patio, and the waitress was very short with us and came across as rude. Overall, I would still recommend checking this place out for the food and drinks, but I do hope the service becomes more consistent because the food is definitely worth trying. En cuanto al servicio, mi primera visita fue excelente. Sin embargo, la segunda vez el servicio no fue bueno. Nos sentamos en el patio, y la mesera fue muy cortante con nosotros y se sintió un poco grosera. Cute lit up signs everywhere give it a cool vibe and the food was so so good. The staff were so nice, constantly giving us delicious sauces to enjoy and the food was amazing!
