    Cool penny bar

Walked here from the vet and found a hidden gem! True coffeehouse vibes. Lots of hanging plants and warm lighting. A perfect cozy spot to enjoy a drink, do some work, meet a friend etc. I ordered a matcha with toffee and it was phenomenal. My husband got a cold brew- they put coffee ice cubes in which is a nice touch and when I asked for cream and sugar they measured the sugar and added hot water to make a simple syrup so it wouldn't be a gritty mess in the cup. What a wonderful added touch! They have over a dozen different flavor syrups, use organic matcha, have Vietnamese or Turkish coffee and even cafe con leche. The baked good in the case also looked phenomenal. Also two large drinks were $10.47 and the cups were as big as a Starbucks venti (which are now like $7 a piece) Thanks for a great experience bill and bobs!!

The coffee hit the spot on a late Tuesday afternoon! It was smooth and not too sweet, even with added flavor. The ambiance, vibe, and feeling were just as sweet while also being chill. One could definitely feel at home staying there, drinking some coffee, and reading a book. The barista answered all my questions and asked me about the amount of ice I wanted instead of filling it up with only ice. Would return!

Interesting vibe in the back. I liked it. Barista was knowledgeable. Bill made the coffee and it was great. Apparently, Bob made the cream, so it was curdled. But Bill grabbed me some fresh cream and all was good, good spot to do some research. I came here once before and I don't remember it being as coffee culture. I think maybe Bill got brought in after Bob and he fixed it up. Nice job Bill! Heads up, just ask what's in the specialty drinks before you commit as some of them aren't traditionally made.

    A "flat white"

I'm here on business and for the life of me can't find a decent coffee shop. I stopped here because the reviews were good but I was mislead. I asked for a flat white and somehow got whatever the barista decided to make and pour in this 10oz cup a flat white is 6oz always has been always will be I don't appreciate the extra 4oz of milk. If I wanted a latte I would have asked for a latte. I'm so disappointed that coffee shops don't even know what drinks are what anymore. Coffee culture is dead.

I will NEVER be back! There was no one here when I walked in to place my order. I walked in excited bc I saw that they had a bacon waffle latte. The cashier said nothing, barely looked up from her phone and MOST CERTAINLY DID NOT explain wtf a bacon waffle latte was. I ordered the brew of the day and again the " barista" didn't even tell me what it was. Ordered it with Oat Milk, toasted marshmallow & vanilla syrup. While standing at the bar, I asked where sugar was & instead of answering my question, she told me that the syrups were sweet, but pointed me to an empty sugar holder of sweet and low. I asked for sugar in the raw or white. Regular sugar is behind the bar, so I asked for it. She dipped a bar spoon into the sugar jar and provided it to me. Once in the car, I noticed that the taste of the coffee was watery . When I returned back to the restaurant, there were about 4 people in line now, and 1 guy at the bar. I asked for a remake and the barista said that it was made the same way everyday and didn't just remake new coffee. I immediately asked for a refund instead. Honestly, the coffee was watery and lacked flavor & I never found out what roast the "brew of the day" was. She attempted to call someone, but got no answer and then I was told that I had to wait for what appeared to be a customer, to get off the phone. Once the guy got off the phone, he provided the barista with $20 bill, told her to open the register, break the $20, and give us 5. I still have NO IDEA who this guy was. He never even looked at us, and when I said thank you after it was all taken care of, NO ONE SAID ANYTHING. Ok, cool. I WILL WRITE A REVIEW AND NEVER RETURN!

This coffee bar was super quaint and cute! The barista was so nice and recommended the Cafe Con Leche. This was my first time having it and I would say it was perfect! I will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed my recent visit to Bill and Bob's for the first time! I did not expect it to be so mission-oriented around the AlAnon organization, but I really appreciate how involved they seem to be in helping folks with recovery and spreading positive beliefs. Another highlight is I had the most unique drink I have EVER been served in a coffee shop- bacon and waffles latte! The owner boasted that it was really good and that he just thought of it recently, and my husband and I both ordered it with a "Why not?" attitude! I am so glad we did and it was very memorable. I would come back to this spot and would recommend it for anyone looking for a coffee shop with a lot of meaning behind the mission. :) **The only caution I would give is there is not a ton of indoor seating- so if you're looking for somewhere to work on a laptop your best bet would probably be to sit at the high bar!

What a cute spot!! I loved 3 things: 1) the service was amazing. The guys that work there are personable and friendly. Very welcoming bunch. 2) the location compared to the Carolina Vet Specialists Matthews location. Offers WiFi to those of us that needed to continue to work when our animals need treatment far from home. Multiple workers asked about my dog and how treatments were going. Thought it was cool that they cared!! 3) the mission. Bill and Bob were two men that started AA many years ago. So it's a coffee bar during the day and they host AA meetings at night. The set up is quirky and fun to accommodate both at different times! The food isn't what I was looking for, so I didn't eat much there. BUT the coffee is really good. There are so many different types of coffee (different countries of origin) and they have a nice mix of traditional coffee options as well. Good little area outside to sit if weather permits. Definitely a place to stop in if in the area!

Saw the signs as we were driving by so decided to check it out. Its kind of hidden at the back of the plaza but at the same time kind of nice because they have an outdoor patio! The inside is small but lots of seating! Big bar counter plus a few tables and plenty of outlets if you want to work! Service was super friendly and personable. Ordered a sugar free caramel latte and also a cuban colata which was delicious. They have bakery items and bagels as well. Cute little spot with great charm!

Cute little coffee shop in Stallings. Barrista was friendly and attentive and got our drinks quickly. I had a cold brew and it was wonderful. They offer assorted pastries and ice cream as well. May have to pop back in and try some of the other drinks! Tons of tables inside and a patio area with seating as well.

Many choices for coffee and flavors. Plenty of seating inside and out. The barista was very knowledgeable and basically said he could make anything I wanted hot or cold.

I just wanted something to snack on so despite the large menu, I chose to get a guava and cheese empanada. The flavor was good but it wasn't worth the price tag (almost $5). I tried to order a nitro cold brew but was told they were out, and had been for years.....so I ordered an iced cafe con leche. I had to ask for it 3 times because the cashier didn't seem to know what is was, despite being on the menu hanging above her head. Her co-worker had to show her which button to hit on the POS. I'm sorry to say that this was the worst coffee I've ever had. No flavor at all. It tasted like watered down milk. They should probably fix their menu because calling that a cafe con leche was completely misleading. Overall, a very unpleasant experience.

Can't believe it took this long for these bakeries to make their way to Charlotte. I, for one, have given up waiting...and have been enjoying Tous Les Jours and Paris Baguette (and several other Korean bakeries) in other US cities for many years. Though unknown in these parts, Korean bakeries are huge in Asia, and metro cities around the world. Still, am glad it finally hit the Queen City...better later than never??? Somehow I was expecting a much bigger layout (like the one in Duluth!), but this one will do...as it has plenty of pastry-plus selection. To see their full selection, I suggest getting there earlier in the day...they go fast! Not only does this location carry a good selection puffy pastries, they also have a good deli selection. So I stocked up on a variety of pastries, as well as sandos to bring home. In addition to a few fruity pastries, we tried the Turkey & Avocado Baguette, Egg Salad Sandwich and Tuna Salad Sandwich...and they were all DEE-Lish! Just like all the pastries, all of their deli items are super-fresh...made in-house! I also tried their Iced Matcha Latte...and I found it a tad too sweet. Think I prefer Tous Les Jours' version of that. In any case, I'm an absolute Whore when it comes to puffy pastries, so am so glad we have these bakeries in town...at last!
