I don't know why this place doesn't have better reviews. It is fantastic. I just ordered for the first time online and got a prime burrito with all the toppings and the haberno sauce. absolutely delicious. and it's a solid heavy burrito. I could only eat half of it. all the ingredients seemed super fresh. The habanero sauce has a nice kick and great flavor. I also got the queso. it doesn't come with chips and I dont know if there is an option to order then separately bc I was using the toast app. But t queso is delicious. Ordered combo plate with chile relleno and crispy shredded beef taco, specifically asked for all beans no rice. Get home and they gave me all rice no beans and two shredded beef tacos. 50 plus years of Miguel's Jr? I still remember eating this during high school. Now my husband and I can introduced it to our son. This location did not disappoint. The staff was friendly in taking our order and the food was delivered fresh! We ordered the original burrito (of course!), and I couldnt pass up the Chile Relleno Burrito! We also tried a carne asade burrito with the box special (included chips, guacamole and a drink). Their horchata was delicious- not too sweet or watered down! We are from San Diego and look forward to traveling through inland empire to eat at Miguel's jr. dozens of times. Clean, good quality, and delicious. Today we went for a machaca burrito for him and a taco for me and his burrito has fat/skin/membrane? I don't even know but thick and the of size of the palm of his hand. So unpleasant biting in to a burrito. And In my taco was the same stuff in smaller amount. The taco was also half raw. It was so sad as I loved this place in the past. While Miguel's isn't the authentic spot that you'd find 60 year old women in the kitchen from Sinaloa, grinding their own chiles, it definitely ticks off a few boxes for me; affordability, value, freshness, and size. My best friend lives nearby so I'll grab a burrito on my way home from her house to accompany me for the 1 hour commute home - Mexican food should qualify me to take the carpool lane, just saying. I've been trying something different everytime I go (just want for the 3rd time) and this time I got the sunrise burrito - potato egg, cheese, and bacon. It was served piping hot and packed in the tortilla. The thick little log was definitely a whole fistful. Overall the dish was a little greasy, perhaps too much oil between all of the ingredients, but the bacon was crispy and the cheese had that pull that would make a Wisconsinite do a double take. I paired this hog with some tangy green sauce and had no shame as I devoured it in the parking lot, almost forgetting to breathe. While it's not the best breakfast burrito I've had (since San Diego makes the BEST), as I mentioned it was a great value and kept me fl for hours. I came in from Arkansas, originally from California, and had been craving a proper chorizo and egg burrito. Miguel's Jr. in Murrieta came up, so I gave it a shot. I ordered a chorizo and egg burrito along with a chorizo and egg taco. The burrito I received was shaped like a football with a hole in it. When I opened it up, it looked like scrambled eggs mixed with potatoes and a spoonful of their version of chorizo. The taco, which I ordered as a corn tortilla, came on a flour tortilla with the same mixture inside. Honestly, I should've just gone to a truly authentic spot for a real chorizo and egg breakfast. The presentation here was weak, and while the service was great, the food itself was nearly inedible. Most of it was left untouched. The one highlight? We were excited to have a Miguel's close to home when we moved to Murrieta but time and time again this restaurant continues to disappoint. I ordered a taco salad from this restaurant. I've been here several times I've never had a huge issue. I got home with my salad today and found myself with the whole bottom covered in water. I had to drain it and then when I took a bite, my lettuce was still frozen. So I dug in more and I found lettuce that has been frozen for a while that it was completely translucent. And I found a piece of plastic. I've tried to call in to speak with somebody and was put on hold by the automated machine and waited 10 minutes. No one answered, and I was asked to leave a message. I feel like it's my duty to post this review on these horrible beef and chicken nachos. Barely any beef and chicken, and completely devoured in beans. I literally had to open a bag of tortilla chips I had, so I can finish scooping up, not many chips at all. The guacamole isn't real guac, it is a watery avocado and I think sour cream mix. I go to order and I let the guy know I had a deal from your site saying it's a double up coupon and the guy tells me that deal ended. I let him know it's on his website. He argued with me saying that it doesn't exist and I clarified 3 times telling him it's on Miguel's website. I asked if he'll honor it and he said let me see if my manager will. Manager (lady) gets on the loud speaker and says sorry we won't honor it and that promotion has ended and I'll let my marketing manager know to take it off the website. I gracefully backed out of the driveway and left. Last time I'll be back. I thought I'd give them another try because it was a decent promotion but I can't justify spending $40 on Mexican fast food that's no better or worse than Taco Bell. I was craving a simple bean, cheese, and rice burrito. Miguel's Jr satisfied that craving. The burrito was huge! The beans were really flavorful. The burrito had an equal amount of rice, beans, and cheese. I hate when I'm eating a burrito, and the burrito just falls apart, but this burrito was tightly wrapped. The tortilla was really good too. I got my order, and it was nice and hot. I meant to eat only half and save the rest for later,but my taste buds weren't having it. I devoured that burrito before I got home. What a disappointment. I stopped into the Miguel's jr location on Los Alamos in Murrieta on a wednesday at about 3:00 PM. My first clue was that there was no customers in the lobby and one one car in the drive thru. The in-n-out next door was packed in the lobby and the drive thru. i ordered the garbage burrito and and agreed to get the box deal for another five dollars, that was a mistake. . The box deal got my a small pile of chips and a small pile of guacamole. the chips were still hot as I guess the had just been fried. the chips smelled and tasted like burnt plastic. i do not know if plastic had fallen into the fryer. I got the carnitas burrito and it was mostly soupy refried beans. I couldnt taste any of the carnitas. I was so disappointed I threw out half the burrito and most of the chips and quac. 16 bucks down the drain. They are not consistent in the drive through line as far as speed of service is concerned.Sometimes it is quick and your out in 5 minutes, sometimes will take 15-20 minutes depending on the day. The staff is sometimes friendly and sometimes in their own world. These young kids these days haha. The food is always hot and delicious. I think I've been to every Miguel's Jr. restaurant, been going there since the mid 1990s. Fontana (I used to go to the one that's now closed -- Citrus and San Bernardino, and still go to the "new one" on Cherry and Baseline) and the drive-through one in Corona are my favorites. So I know what's a Miguel's burrito is supposed to look, taste and feel like. It's actually supposed to feel like it's been made freshly. So, I don't know how it's possible to get a cold burrito within 10 seconds of picking it up from the counter. Obviously since I can see them making the food in the open-plan kitchen, something must be wrong with the temperatures at which they're preparing the food. To be accurate, half of the burrito was warm, the other half was cold. I bit into the cold half. It was almost unbearable. The cheese wasn't melted, just dry and crumbly. The only think I could look forward to was that I could eel that the burrito was warmer at the bottom, where my hands were holding it. The last few bites actually tasted okay, but because I don't like frigid food, I had to go through 6 disappointing bites to get there. I had a second burrito on my plate. If the first was half cold, surely the second one is a borderline iced burrito. So I decided to ask the young lady working the counter if she would warm this burrito for me, explaining that the last one was cold. And, in the tone of an annoyed teenaged girl, who's bratty younger brother had been yanking on her ponytail for the last hour, her response was "we can't take food back for any reason." I again, not sure that she had heard what I was asking, asked "I'm sorry?" "Yes, once food comes across the counter, we can't take it back," she says. So I paused, made a mental note never to come back to this Miguel's location, and decided that I had to take my food with me and warm it elsewhere. Because that's the reason you go to a restaurant. Miguel's Jr is a classic in my family. We're from Corona/Riverside originally so we've been eating Miguel's Jr since my wife and I were in high school. The food is the same quality as the original restaurant location. Service is always good, food is always fresh and the original Miguel's sauce is amazing! Best hot sauce of any Mexican restaurant - no question! This location is great since there's plenty of parking and it's not typically very crowded except lunch time. Expect the line to be a bit longer around lunch but dinner isn't usually too busy. I love the street tacos with beans and rice and chips/sauce. Great meal and much fresher than just about every fast food place around. Overall, quality Mexican food for a good price, fast service from professional, courteous staff. read more

I stop at this location as I drive up to the Inland Empire from San Diego fairly often. The service is mostly friendly and the food comes out quick, whether you are in the lobby or in the drive-thru.
