Some minor service issues in things involving cross-team communication, like asking the front desk to adjust housekeeping schedule didn't work. The gym is great. The casitas are beautiful, feel new and well cleaned. The setting can't be beat. Isolated yet conveniently accessible, best of both worlds. And you're right at the foot of arguably Sedona's best hiking. You're right in the middle of Sedona mountains, stunning. Mii amo only has one restaurant with a medium length menu, so it can get tedious if you're staying more than a few days, but sister resort Enchantment has more restaurants and that's a short walk away. Lastly, while there's a plethora of "private" activities you can sign up for, there's almost no "group" activities. I think largely a function of Mii Amo's small size, and focus on more senior adult couples. read more

Horrible experience. Visited during a ladies weekend but will never go back. Spa services (masseuse) were good but most of the staff at the facility were extremely unfriendly. Was told by restaurant manager that we were being too loud at dinner even though all other patrons at the time were just as loud. Hotel was great, spa is a total joke. While the property seems nice, MiAmo/Enchantment's biggest fault is in it's service. During our 3 day stay, we were consistently disappointed by staff, which made the entire stay underwhelming. Did you notice how tough it was to get ahold of someone while booking your reservation? Did you think it was weird that nobody responded to your emails? Don't expect it to get much better on site. Staff will consistently make you feel like a burden rather than a guest, leaving you nervous to ask for that extra pillow or advice on things to do. Like every bad business, there doesn't seem to be any communication between departments, and the front desk is happy to blame "the spa people" or "the hotel people" but never seemed eager to actually help with...well, anything. It was kind of embarrassing for a high end property. With so many exceptional high end resorts in Sedona, skip this one for a property that has their management figured out. You're spending a lot of money and deserve a 5 star experience. This MiAmo/Enchantment/Tides/Cove group seems to hope that their luxury properties are enough to provide a resort experience on their own, but consistently drop the ball on the most important parts of a great stay. Plot twist Mii Amo ! The plan was for my girlfriends and I to meet for a few days for some long overdue quality time together. I was told we would stay at The Enchantment and go to Mii Amo for spa treatments. The girls called me the day I was due to arrive and they told me to tell the shuttle driver to drop me at Mii Amo where they would Meet me after their treatments. Upon my arrival the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. They walked me to the bar where I met fabulous Ivano ! Ivano and I became fast friends and he made the most delicious prickly pear margarita which I enjoyed while waiting for the girls. When the girls emerged from their treatments they were vibrant and glowing and radiant and they handed me a folder inside of which was my Mii Amo journey ! Plot twist they said ! We are staying at the Mii Amo and going on a journey ! My time at Mii Amo was heavenly. The ever present view of the red rocks was moving and humbling. The comfort of the accommodations and the warmth and helpfulness of the staff was notable. The women who gave me my treatments were outstanding and the food was unparalleled. In the restaurant I had the luck to be cared for by Ivano, Eduardo, Salomon, Henry, Jessica and Rebecca - simply the best ! And in the treatment rooms I was given a heavenly facial by Jennifer ! An incredible head neck and shoulder massage by Hollie- to die for. And Alisa gave me the ancestral stone Massge which I think was my favorite! For our upcoming wedding anniversary, my husband treated us to the Enchantment Resort Spa Mii Amo two days ago. It's been more than a few years since we've visited. STICKER SHOCK! You better get ready to pay international airline ticket prices for a couple of treatments! Some treatments at 90 min can cost $400-$700. We chose the basic 60 min deep tissue massages - mine was with Jared - and actually, it was out of this world wonderful and renewing! Thank you Jared! My husband said his massage was just ok. $700 including tax and tip. But for these prices, you also now get your time LIMITED at the beautiful adjoining spa amenities - sauna, hot tub, steam room, pool, etc. In years past, we would relish spending our days there, swimming, eating at the spa restaurant, hot tubbing, etc. AND the most disappointing and heartbreaking was the full renovation or gutting of, in my opinion, what was the most attractive feature of the spa - the indoor pool. (see pictures) It is now a slothy step down ORANGE couch area where people laid food coma style. Success, we spent NO time there - further helps their new time limits. Post treatments, we were literally stressing about how much time we could still be allowed to stay. Would they ask us to leave? Clocks everywhere were pointed out to make sure you keep track of your appointments. So subtle. I'm so sad that the world continues in this charge more, give less trend. read more

The spa services are lovely, I thoroughly enjoyed my facial with Becky and I give that 5 stars. Currently, the spa experience is non existent. The spa is temporarily closed for renovations so there is a makeshift set up in the bungalows. My disappointment comes in the fact that guests are being charged the full price, while not having access to any amenities and not being made clear what time between services will look like. I had a lovely facial, but then I had to leave the room to go sit in an uncomfortable chair in the makeshift lobby for an hour before my massage. There's no tea set up, music, or comfortable chair options. Absolutely no privacy either. I sat in a small chair in the same room where appointments were being made, phones answered, people coming and going, and being prompted to engage in small talk about the products sold. Absolutely none of it was relaxing or spa like. This was not explained to me at the time of booking, had I known there was no attempt at making guests comfortable between services I would have only booked one treatment and spent that other hour doing something more enjoyable than awkwardly sitting in a robe in the little lobby. read more

There's a crystal grotto, meditation area, pools indoor and out, a fitness center, a juice bar, cafe, studio room for fitness classes, and a beautiful gift shop. Behind the spa is the access to the trailheads for hiking. The locker rooms are private and each have a sauna and hot tub inside. I love the relaxing lounge area around the indoor pool. The service at the spa was fantastic, and the staff were very friendly and helpful - especially Linda! They were super welcoming, guided us in terms of the services, and even saw that we were hot by the pool so gave us homemade popsicles (hibiscus and fruit). It's a nice facility that you could spend hours in - a pool, sauna, hot tub, steam room, lounge, etc. All a part of the service, which was also great. I would highly recommend if you're staying in Sedona and especially if you're staying at the Enchantment resort! read more

Everyone deserves a grand splurge and I decided to give myself Mii Amo for a big birthday. Super extravagant price-wise, but I have to admit that with all the treatments you receive daily and the facilities on the Mii Amo side, you will not be disappointed. I spent a solid week enjoying just about every treatment available and if you are on any type of spiritual path, you will find healers and counselors that will help you along. I recommend Donna S. for any service she provides (most therapists are adept at several) and especially past life regressions. Collette is a good massage therapist. Reiki by the husband and wife team. I spent my entire time in my yummy and cozy robes when I wasn't hiking. Unfortunately the spa is shared by Enchantment and that is a totally different vibe going on there and from what I could tell, a whole different experience. Ex: We had a wedding group come over to use the pool on the Mii Amo side, and they were loud and disturbed those of us there for tranquility and spa treatments. The Mii Amo side rooms don't necessarily have views, but they are quite spacious with an enclosed patio, sitting area, two queen beds, fireplace, wet bar with tea and coffee 24/7, huge bathroom with all the nice shampoos and lotions to try from the spa. The spa facilities were superior. The treatment rooms were pristine, music was soothing, atmosphere was perfect and most of them had a view of the mountains. The spa hot tubs and steams were the perfect place to soak and relax in between treatments. I don't think I have ever been as squeaky clean as that week. The food was very fresh, well prepared and the staff was friendly, and polite and I felt they respected all guests' privacy and desire for "quietness". The all meals included and 2-3 courses made my tummy happy. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. Would I go back? Certainly if someone gifted me, but I guess I am young enough to be adventurous and try other spas... after all, tomorrow is another day! read more

Everyone here likes to say that this spa is something to the effect of "The number one spa in the world." It's not - there are nicer, more exotic, and less expensive options, so I'm not sure what that statement is based on. That said - solid 4-star review. This spa is part of a resort nestled cozily in between the red rock cliffs of beautiful Sedona. It's close enough that a drive into town is convenient, but isolated enough that traffic and tourism are non-existent. The clientele seemed a little bit on the stuffy side, so don't expect to make friends here, but in my opinion, a big reason to come out here is the isolation, so if you're doing a romantic weekend with your lover, that's just fine. They have a little restaurant which we were pleasantly surprised with, and the view from outdoors is one-of-a-kind. Overall, I do recommend staying here once, and enjoying their services. Even though it's convenient for me, I probably won't be returning because the accommodations were nice, but not nice enough to justify the hefty price. read more

Came up here for a one night girls spa day excursion. We got lost and would have been late and therefore fore fitted our spa treatments..However, they were extremely accommodating and managed to reschedule the 3 of us simultaneously later in the day. We ate 2x at the cafe and the menu is fantastic, especially for the picky eater..you cant miss and the food is delicious. I was beyond pleased. The service...well our waiter wasn't the friendliest by any means.. he almost seemed put out..but the second time (yes we managed to score him both times) he managed to smile and seem less displeased with his life. lol. As for the spa treatments.. I had the sedona clay wrap and it was weird...but thats just me. I was painted in mud then wrapped up like a spliff and then time just passed until I was unwrapped, able to wash off then massaged. The end result was I was softer than a baby butt but the process was just kinda icky. I dont like being wrapped up all icky. Imagine being doused in chocolate pudding then wound tightly in saran wrap..if you move you can feel the squishyness.. eww right? If youre claustrophobic I do not recommend this. I've never stayed here but my husband got me a massage at the spa after grueling hike. This place has the most gorgeous setting, it looks too good to be true. The staff and my masseuse were incredibly kind and made me feel welcomed. The massage was amazing, I felt transformed when I was done. I enjoyed the spa after my massage and found it to be relaxing. At more luxurious spa's I feel nervous like I'm going to break something but the atmosphere here is disarming and I felt at ease. This is going to be long so TL:DR 5/5 for the spa. 0/5 for the pool/restaurant My wife and I were here on a spa day on our vacation and we're excited about the great reputation. When we checked in everything was great, we were informed during checking in that we could enjoy the pool area after our treatments (for an hour) but needed a reservation, great we thought. Our attendant walked us over to the pool to help us make reservations but the manager over there was initially very off putting to our hostess and made it seem like we were doing something wrong. Regardless, we made a reservation. After that went to our treatments. The treatments were above and beyond! Both of which left us feeling great and more energized! Met my wife in the lobby and went to the pool. We check in and are told that we can sit over there (pointing in general direction) and we will have a server right over with towels and that "we will bring everything to you" We order food/drinks (no towels yet)...20 minutes pass after ordering no towels. I ask the manager where I can find towels and got rudely pointed inside to grab my own towels. 35 minutes pass, our salad finally arrives no drinks, we question the attendant about the lack of drinks and there are excuses that the bartender is caught up in "other duties". 50 minutes later our drinks come after we ask for the 4th time. Overall, spa was amazing and would highly recommend and is worth every penny. The pool and restaurant are a joke and are not worth your time. Overpriced, rude, and not worth the experience. You are better to just do the spa and then go back to the enchantment pool. (If staying there). read more

Hard core Yoga - Gym, run weights - Insane Ab class best massage ever - best facial ever !! This place is all in all stars amazing. The layout isn't the most spiritual quiet cozy spa I've ever been in and it feels a little corporate. The service was impeccable however! The yoga instructor was like this amazing russian woman straight out of India one of the most intense yoga classes we have ever taken wow my body was like THANK YOU and I was beautifully sore the rest of the trip. I love being sore- it's a sign I'm actually using my body! The gym was great! Ran 3 miles on the treadmill and lifted some weights. The ab class was really tough, the instructor though had the best personality ever and made it really fun and entertaining - again sore as ever wow super stoked! I had two treatments at the spa a 60 minute massage with Priscilla who just moved here from Indiana, I swear I would take her back home with me to Santa Monica this girl was all out pro. I could not believe how good she was! We get masssages ALL the time with the app soothe and this one wow! Plus she knew a lot of scientific things about he muscles in the body, so anywhere I had pain or tightness she was like yep that's because ABC.. impressive!! My facial was done by Jan. Again let me tell you something about Jan not only is she great at doing facials she has a great personality! She did a lot of exfoliation on my face and wow, first glance in the mirror after and I was 24 again :) . She is the best, she knows her products well! I bought a bunch! I had a lot of expectations going into Mii Amo. Everything you read online from the articles to the reviews say it's going to be a life-changing experience but I just found it impersonal, corporate and cold. The aesthetics aren't that calming, could use some upgrading and the spa itself isn't anything to write home about. I could've had better staying in New York and going to a local spa here, but I wanted an "experience" or a journey, as Mii Amo would call it, so I shelled out over 4K for something that felt like I could get anywhere. Was I missing something? Was it just not for me? What were all these great reviews about? I'm utterly confused, but judging from some other Yelpers experiences, I'm not alone. If you're going to market yourself as an experience, destination spa and charge a pretty penny for anyone who buys off on that, I would hope for a better, more relaxing, more unique environment. What I got was something a Marriott could market. Cold staff, dinghy amenities, a room with a view of the parking lot and an empty wallet I now wish would've gone to Miraval instead. Truly one of the most exquisite spas ever. The location is breathtaking and the services are wonderful! While we just returned from a week at Enchantment (the resort that mii Amo is a part of), you can also stay AT mii Amo in the casitas at the spa. Frankly, the latter is much more convenient if you opt for one of the "journeys", and you basically don't ever get out of your robe (I can think of worse things)! The experience of a journey can not be beat. The spa management staff takes extra care in making sure your pre-arrival is handled so that you have the most relaxing, accommodating experience while you're there! mii Amo is located in Boynton Canyon (where one of Sedona's famed vortexes is - Kachina Woman), which is absolutely beautiful. They've situated the treatment rooms such that you can see the gorgeous red rock scenery while you're having your massage or practicing yoga. Start each day meditating and setting your intentions in the crystal grotto - it's amazing what this does for your soul! There is a cafe on site with amazing food, cooking classes and wine tastings. You can also get your fix of smoothies and wheatgrass during your stay! We started our trip with a couples treatment of a 90 minute Prickly Pear Butter Wrap, which totally set the mood of relaxation for the week! I also enjoyed the Lymphatic Drainage and Herbal Detox, a Cranial Sacral massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, an Energy Intelligence session (highly recommended with Toshen!), a Vibrational Massage and a private yoga practice with Jeremy. The fitness facilities are impeccable and you can count on being one of only two, maybe three people in there at any given time. The locker and lounge areas are well decorated, kept very clean, are quiet and comfortable and both the men's and women's lounge areas have separate hot tub, steam and sauna facilities (there is also a hot tub outside by the pool). I've had two facials here and they were great. They use eminence organic which is a favorite line of mine and the aestheticians are always great. I will say the spa isn't all that nice and the locker room area definitely needs an upgrade. If you boast being a 5 star resort your amenities should reflect this. Loved the peaceful and zen setting. No one under 16 is allowed, which makes a perfect pool and spa environment to relax in. I had 4 treatments here, and all were awesome. I particularly enjoyed the Mii Amo signature facial. If you're staying at Enchantment Resort or the Mii Amo casitas, there are a lot of free physical and spiritual activities to try. 5 stars my ass! Anyone who gives this place 5 stars either got very, very, very lucky or has never stayed at a true 5 star resort. I've been to Mii Amo/Enchantment several times over several years, which is enough to know that the only thing about this place worth 5 stars is the location. And I'm pretty sure the resort manager didn't build Boynton canyon. This place is insanely over-priced not not even remotely worth a visit. Pros: 1. Beautiful setting 2. Nice view from most of the rooms 3. Beautiful spa 4. Great tennis courts 5. Excellent bell staff (the only part of any of the staff that's excellent or even above average) Cons: 1. The food and service in both restaurants is awful. Especially the service. Plan on driving into town for every meal. ---Tii Gavo--I ordered ribs and got very sick that night. Wife ordered a burger (no cheese) and they brought her a cheeseburger. She sent it back and they merely scraped off the cheese. What a bunch of morons. ---Two days later we had lunch at Tii Gavo. Again, the order came out wrong. And again, there was no special order. ---Yavapai--had brunch there. Saw our waiter about 10 minutes after being seated. He took our order then disappeared into the Bermuda Triangle, never to be seen again. 2. Business services are shoddy and not up to par. For even a 3 star hotel. 3. Outside of the tennis courts, the game and recreation facilities and equipment are 3 star, not 5 star caliber. 4. There are some angry people working in the spa: ---The lady who led the "vortex walk" kept making angry, bitter comments about men. No joke! ---Received a 100% horrible massage. I naively asked the masseuse about the many different treatments the spa offers. My girlfriend said that when I wasn't looking, the masseuse was rolling her eyes at me. She then gave me the most half-assed, worthless, rushed massage I've ever received. 5. The people who handle reservations do an awful job at giving proper information. And the rest of the resort does a fairly poor job of managing guest expectations. 6. The pool at the spa is great, but kids aren't allowed there. The mian pool is pretty dated and needs some major remodeling. Mii Amo has a lot going for it. Primarily, the location overlooking the red rocks. The views are incredible - from the restaurant, the treatment rooms, the pool, etc... A nice view makes everything better, but in addition to the views, Mii Amo offers so much more including: *wonderful, friendly staff *Boynton Canyon and Vista hiking trail heads literally just feet away from the building *fabulous food *spa services that will make you feel like you are in heaven *mind/body/spirit classes I just returned from spending two and a half days at Mii Amo. I went with my BFF and it was just what the doctor ordered... We're both working moms and needed to get away and pamper ourselves a bit, so that is just what we did! We took advantage of what is called a "Journey" package. It's all-inclusive and in addition to two nights at Enchantment, it included all of our meals and three spa services each. My friend had a psychic massage, a "managing stress" consultation, and a jojoba butter wrap. I had a deep tissue massage, an ayurvedic facial, a "reading of the moment," and a Thai Yoga massage. I highly recommend all of the above! In addition to the pampering, we hiked each day, sat by the pool, took advantage of a cooking demo taught by Chef Corey himself, meditation, and more. I felt like a new person as we left on Sunday to head back to our real lives... until we hit traffic, that is! Rosemary.Body.Scrub. aka the best shower anyone will ever give you...EVER! Here is the description: This treatment begins under the waterfall of seven showerheads on the Vichy table with a scrub containing sea salts, sugar, magnesium crystals and a moisture sealant for extraordinary exfoliation and maximum hydration of the skin. Then your body is treated with an application of rejuvenating enzyme lotion with fresh rosemary to invigorate and revitalize. This is an excellent treatment for dry, dull or sun-damaged skin. So the masseuse came in wearing a wet-suit. Seriously. But it was amazing! I think 5 shower heads are on continuously, while the other two are only at the end of each portion of the treatment. I had this service done almost two weeks ago and my skin is STILL as smooth as...insert simile here (a baby's bottom, silk, butter, a southern drawl...whatever!). If I had the means, I would have someone shower me with this treatment every frickin' day and twice on Sunday. It was phenomenal and the masseuse was a gem. I can't recall her name right now though :(. I hate it when that happens! read more

I recently realized I need a getaway. Some time to myself to reset. All by myself. I wasn't sure just what that would entail, but I knew I needed to be away from my house and in a setting that allowed for various types of activities, as I usually am not that one that relaxes via poolside napping and a ridiculous amount of spa treatments. Mii amo came up immediately as a result, but I read some interesting things about it not being as good as it claimed to be in terms of decor, updated features and food. But it was one of the only inclusive spas I saw that offered various things for my needs and wants from hiking to fitness and wellness treatments as part of the spa treatments to choose from. How could I not give it a try? This trip was so well worth it, I think it needs to be a repeat occasion. The scenery is absolutely stunning. It's set in the Boynton Canyon with views all around as far as the eye can see. The spa is contemporary and updated. When I asked for a hookup for my iPhone to listen to music, they put one in my room. The rooms and all spaces were so beautifully stunning and modern, while still letting you feel at peace and relaxed within nature. I don't know how they do it. The staff is so friendly and caring that you wonder if you'll ever see such service in your life again. Inclusive packages start with an orientation to the spa and it's just wonderful. Everyone knows your name very quickly and is genuinely interested in your stay and how they are helping you achieve your desired goals. It is really about you and how you need to spend your time. There are definitely a few staff members that I wish I could take home with me as they were just a joy to be around. One is the spa director, Robert, who gave me such a heartfelt gift and note my last night there, I nearly cried. Michael, who when my spa treatments were badly timed with dinner, had the kitchen reopened and delivered me my dinner via room service. And last but not least, the fitness director Danielle, who I was fortunate enough to have two different sessions with and wanted to hula hoop with me. Hula hooping on the lawn - things I can offer Mii amo :) The services are great. Everything exceeded expectations, from the fitness sessions, one of which gave me a custom travel workout that I can use when on business or don't have enough time to get to the gym, to the best hot stone massage I've ever had in my life. Fantastic fantastic fantastic. Every meal was delightful. Every space was inviting. It honestly started to feel like home very quickly. If I wanted morning meditations to help with my day, they have that covered. If I wanted to hike, that was covered too. If I wanted to sit and do nothing and just order a shit ton of smoothies? No problem. There are two trails with access right behind the spa, one of which leads to the vortex by Kachina Woman. I wish I could tell you about them, but bears in town caused the gate to the trail to be temporally locked. Maybe next time. I can't speak highly enough about the time and space Mii amo gave me. I only hope I can take what I've learned about myself and my wellness and mindfulness and continue to use it. My journey has truly only begun. read more

We experienced Mii amo a few months ago for a 7 day retreat . We stayed in a Mii amo Suite which was very spacious and serene. We had our own private massage room, fireplace, 2 patio areas, whirlpool, and outdoor shower, gorgeous bathroom ALL the accommodations were tip -top. Our package included 14 treatments for each of us . We had Reiki, Meditation, Tai Chi, Lymphatic Massage,yoga, various detox wraps and massages . We hiked the red rocks, star gazed ...de -stressed and reconnected with ourselves, each other, and everyone .Fresh juices and healthy meals ( we went out for dinner 3 times) The massages leave you feeling boneless, they have a knack for finding deeply recessed tension ..you will feel refreshed, renewed ..healed. Sedona itself is such a healing experience ..Mii amo aids this magical vortex . It cost us well over 5,000 dollars and was worth every penny. if you can find a way ...go you will not be disappointed, and frankly ...you deserve it . even if you can only manage a day or two (time and money well spent.) read more

I first heard of Mii Amo while my Matron of Honor was planning my Bachelorette party. Now that I've been there I'm glad that we chose to go elsewhere for it. Mii Amo is a really nice spa, with great service and nice staff but the guests are a bit older and I don't think they would've appreciated 12-15 girls on a bachelorette trip. Girls can def. get loud when traveling in large groups. =) This place was very quiet/zen... My husband and I just spent our "Baby-moon" at Mii Amo this past weekend since we both needed some pampering. We did the 3 Day all inclusive package and stayed in the Luxury Suite (#510). Before arriving we were asked to fill out all the forms regarding treatments/activities and meal preference so once we arrived we were all set to go. Just follow the schedule they give you. Love that! It was a 50 min flight from Orange County - SNA to Phoenix then we rented a car and drove about 2 hours to Sedona. Mii Amo was hidden in the middle of the beautiful red rocks. It made me a little uncomfortable to pregnant and be far away from the big city but I did spot a hospital about 20 min outside the resort. =) Phew! (First time Mommy Paranoia) We were greeted curb side and escorted directly to our room. They went over our itinerary and showed us our suite. This place was huge, it had its own massage room, 2 patios, jacuzzi, kitchen, living room, outdoor shower with direct access from the bathroom...Pretty great design. We each got 2 treatments a day and all the meals + room service/tip were also all included. They gave us welcoming gifts as well! Each guest receives a take home robe, a bag with and a Camebak water bottle. Pretty nice touch! Since I am pregnant, my treatments were a bit limited. I was only able to have the prenatal massages and facials. There is an extensive list of treatments and activities that I was unable to experience at this time. I will have to go back after in the future to explore. They have a fresh juice bar which I was unable to take advantage of due to my gestation diabetes. Bummer! The food was pretty good, but once again I was a bit limited on what I could eat! My first prenatal massage was a bit disappointing but all the other 5 treatments where amazing! I'm glad the worse one was out of the way on my first day there. Everyday after dinner we took a stroll in the property and saw Deers! They are not scared of people as long as you don't get too close to them. The first night we saw 3 of them but the last night there were 8 of them! Beautiful!!! I did enjoy my second massage (yes I got 2, I was on my honeymoon, I was allowed). But the first one was done in a bright ass room and the lady spent too much time on my shoulders. I wanted to tell her that she needed to move lower, but then I realized that I would sound pervy. Also the facilities were alright, but I've been too many other spas with nicer locker rooms. Also, when you get into the locker room, the lady that gives you your robe was either never there or a complete spaz. Sometimes they would just leave robes and shoes out and it was a first come first serve kinda a thing...not really 5 star spa service if you ask me. And THEN they ran out of lockers and were asking people to put their stuff in plastic bags and telling them to leave them out for the staff to pick up...GHETTO FABULOUS. I guess I was just lucky enough to scam a locker off some lady that was finished at the spa. The indoor pool is nice and if you are into hippie dippie treatments like getting your chakra in tune with your soul then this is the place for you. read more

What a lovely, lovely spa. It's 24,000 square feet of bliss. You've got separate men and women's spa areas, complete with steam room, sauna, capacious lockers, giant showers, treatment rooms that go on forever, an indoor pool completewith waterfall - and fireplace at the other end of the room, restaurant, a crystal room for mediation, a library, gift shop - you name it. The attendants were all so friendly and helpful and really took the time to show you around and make you welcome. I came in for a dosha treatment, which consisted of a body scrub, wrap and massage. The treatment room was pretty simple, however, it featured a window in the ceiling that provided an awesome view of the red rocks of Sedona. What could be more calming and glorious than that? My therapist was very well versed in the modalities and quickly identified my dosha, and began the treatment. The scrub was thorough and invigorating, and the subsequent wrap so calming I fell asleep. The massage wasn't all good as I had hoped, but the entire experience was pretty blissful anyway. I spent the rest of the afternoon alternating between the sauna, steam room, swimming pool, jacuzzi before ending it all with a shower and slathering myself with their wonderful body products. According to their marking materials they were rated the 3rd best spa in the world. I'm not sure what year that was but I don't really believe them. I mean my massage was great but it did not change my life. The spa itself is nice and clean. They have three pools one indoor that heated to a nice 86 degrees and they also have a pool outside that I think was about 80. The hot tub was really hot...about a 100 or so. While outside you're surrounded by the red rocks and its just absolutely beautiful and serene. My spa treatment was really nice and the rooms were very peaceful. I do have to note that it was on the pricier side. My massage was $145 for a hour and that didn't include tax or tip. read more

I don't even know where to begin with this place... Utterly disappointing in every way except for the actual treatments. I wish I could give 5-stars to just Holly and Stepha for their out-of-this-world massage skills. They were both truly amazing! Mii Amo/Enchantment Resort encourages you to pre-book your activities/spa treatments prior to arrival. Excellent, I'm a planner! Except when you call, you're transferred around to various departments, endlessly put on hold and accidentally hung up on because no one seems to know what to do with a guest who hasn't actually checked in yet. Fast forward to the day of arrival as we're driving in from Phoenix. I call to ask a question and quickly learn that everything I pre-booked has been "lost" during a system upgrade, including the spa appointments for later that same day. Hmm, so if I hadn't called no one would have bothered to let me know? 5-star service is all about being proactive and anticipating needs. Not the way you want to start your "relaxing" vacation! After rearranging some other activities/plans, we're able to reschedule the appointments over two days and are told we'd be offered a discount on services to make up for the inconvenience. Upon check-out on spa day #1 we see that our bill has been adjusted to reflect a 20% discount as promised. Unfortunately, on spa day #2 we notice there's no discount. It was late in the evening and the spa front desk was already shutting down for the night so we were assured by the less-than-helpful Asst Front Desk Manager, David, that someone would call us in the morning. No call - shocker. We brought it up again as we were checking out of the resort and Brittainy (who was very helpful!) assured us she would get it taken care of after our departure. At this point I'm feeling embarrassed that I even have to ask, like these people think I'm trying to scam the spa out of a discount. Believe me, if I was hard up for money I wouldn't be at a place like this in the first place! Brittainy calls us back about an hour after our departure from the resort saying she spoke to the Spa Supervisor (Keilani, sp?) who said we were told we would only receive a discount on one treatment and the bill wouldn't be adjusted further. Umm, excuse me? So now I'm a liar? Wow. I hope the 1-star review was worth saving what amounts to about $100 in a customer service gesture. Don't they realize it's not at all about the money? All that aside, the spa is seriously lacking in 5-star service and amenities. Overpriced and underwhelming. News flash, the gorgeous view only gets you so far! As a 15-year veteran of the spa industry, I've experienced better at day spas in the Midwest. It's no wonder this property doesn't hold an industry-coveted Forbes rating; I should've known better! -the indoor pool/co-ed relaxation area is essentially in the lobby so you're on display for all to see. -Front Desk team provides incorrect instructions on where to meet for activities, causing you to miss them or arrive late. If you don't know, just say "I don't know" rather than making something up! -no overview of amenities or tour of facilities. Here's your robe, here's your locker, pointed to a door and told "go upstairs when you're ready for your treatment". Charming. -there are no real "quiet areas" even though signage around the spa would lead you to expect differently. The upstairs waiting area gets loud and crowded; the women's lounge sitting area is right next to the locker area and gets noisy as well. -other than some apples in a bowl there are no spa snacks anywhere to be found. I guess they want you to buy your own at the café. -the boutique is a ghost town and on two visits I couldn't find anyone to answer questions. -their product selections and are pretty low-end for a supposed high-end destination spa. Spoiler alert: my review of Enchantment Resort isn't any better. Next time I'll stick with Miraval or Canyon Ranch. read more
