This is the worst Kung Fu Tea. I keep trying here and I'm disappointed in the service every time. They're constantly out of some of the add-ins and if you order in the app and have to change when they call you, they don't refund you for them unless you tell them to. I once had an issue in the app and it double-ordered for me and instead of calling to ask if it was a mistake (the exact same order for the same person coming in 60 seconds apart is pretty suspicious), they just made them and said "sorry, you have to take both." They didn't seal the lid on a drink, so when we shook it, it spilled all over my wife. When she went in to tell them and to clean herself up, they shrugged their shoulders and just resealed the same cup that was now noticeably short. There is 0 customer service here. My mind always wanders to this place whenever I'm in the Haddonfield-Collingswood vicinity, and I'm rarely ever too busy to stop in. Outside of Chinatown, this company is the only chain I'm aware of with really good boba and unique naturally-flavored drinks. I jokingly consider it an Asian Starbucks. Between rosehip lemonade, passion fruit green tea, red bean milkshakes, and taro root slushies, I never know exactly what I'm going to decide on, and I usually leave the building with more than two cups in my hands. It's become quite an addiction, sad to say. It's especially a nice after-shop spot, since I like wandering around Hung Vuong every now and then for some snacks and seaweed wraps, and they have anime-based promotions and cup designs all the time. So to all of you Shaolin Tea-Drinkers, Masters of Boba, and Dim Sum Divers, you should definitely do a similar shop-and-stop. The Brace Road shopping district offers quite a couple places for a bite to eat, with Kung Fu Tea as the last one before heading on home. But my excitement was immediately karate chopped by this young short curly haired woman (with glasses) that seemed very tired and angry. So I tried greeting her with a smile. This was my first time here and looking at the big location I thought this was going to be good- I went up to the register where I met the short curly haired woman with glasses. I stared at the menu and said .. this is my first time here!!! And smiled . She said nothing and starred at me. I was waiting for some sort of response - but there was nothing . I could not figure out what I wanted so I simply stepped aside to let another customer order. It was about one min of awkward silence. When the other customer behind us walked up to order -- the customer said I never been here before - what is popular. The curly haired woman with glasses then pulled out a card and told the lovely lady. This is our most popular drinks.. I was very shocked .. because my wife and I would've loved to have known that there were popular items. If the curly haired woman would have just made some sort of effort - we would had a better customer service experience than receiving the Clint Eastwood stare down. After she helped the customer ... it was our turn again but this time I calmly gave her feedback. Because she made me feel unwanted. I then told her for a better customer service experience it would have been nice to have told us about the popular items . Then like a villain in a Kung Fu movie this tall curly haired man ( i'm assuming he was the supervisor) popped up and started listening. So I turned to him and explained the experience. Again calmly and respectfully !! I explained again, that I would have loved to have known about the popular items- and .. he said in a very sassy way , "we don't make a commission here!!" Now my Kung Fu is very strong .. I didn't not let that comment get to me . As a Black man, I have to navigate spaces like these every day. I am shocked that these two white employees working at this Boba restaurant made me and my wife feel not welcome. It's boba .. everyone is supposed to like boba So I ordered my drink anyway .. my wife decided she didn't want anything based on the service rendered.. No As the tall curly haired man handed me my drink. I explained to him - (calmly and gracefully) that his comment m -- "that we don't make commission here." Was not empathetic to the situation- and based on the other interactions I observed.. the interactions that were toward me and my wife .. were based it's based on the color of my skin . He turned away from me and rolled his eyes. And that's when I had to share my experience with the wider audience, and I will be sending this letter to corporate office. I threw the boba in the trash.. it tasted of mediocrity and racism. Boba is black and delicious just like me. Boba comes in different colors and flavors just like all of us. We arrived at Kung Fu Tea yesterday afternoon and the line was out the door. It could be due to the current buy 3 get 1 special, as many people were walking out with 4 bubble teas. We too were waiting for our 4 bubble teas, and had already placed our order via the app earlier. Ordering via the app was super easy, you can choose toppings for your tea, the level for ice and sugar, and select the pickup time for your order. The only bad thing about ordering via the app is that the menu on the app may not reflect all the drinks or the food offered by Kung Fu Tea. The four teas we ordered were the kung fu milk tea, milk green tea, matcha sesame, and passion fruit green tea. Not very cool. I know a lot of KFTs and other barber shops have the same thing going on, and maybe I just haven't asked and enough of them. But they really need to be giving the employees the tips. It definitely really upset me to find out that they don't get the tips for their work. So make sure you don't tip them. You can try giving them cash directly in hand but who knows if that will even work. And I keep getting aroused by how good the Boba is here. Now I know why they call it "Sprung Fu Tea." I've been here a few times and it's a solid place for bubble tea, although can get quite crowded. They have small appetizers, a large section of customizable milk teas and fruit teas, and lots of sitting space to place board games, card games, and to study (although it's quite loud, in my opinion). I generally get the regular black milk tea with 50% sugar and 30% ice. If you get 100%, it's honestly too sweet for a regular person, so I definitely recommend going downward. I really dislike the milk cap here - normally I enjoy milk cap as a topping but - it tasted really odd here. Maybe it was a one time thing, but it almost tasted a bit sour. Again as mentioned, since this place is quite busy and often crowded, the wait can be a little longer than normal. This is the first truly bubble tea joint to hit suburban south Jersey, at least that I know of. We went to Kung Fu a day after their opening on a rainy Saturday and they were doing a brisk business. My wife is Asian and my daughter is Eurasian and I was the only non Asian in the store. Another reoccurring and sad theme, is my wife and myself are usually the oldest customers in these type of places too. With the hip and trendy design and the mainly Asian clientele, it felt like Chinatown except for the view of Haddonfield Rd. The place does look very nice, young and modern. There are several seating areas, and a couple of couches for hanging out. There is also some very cool lighting throughout the space. The menu is on a lighted display behind the bar and a little difficult to read. There are a lot of choices for drinks and some snack and dessert items. I had the Green Tea milk tea and added bubbles. This was a little milkier then I expected but still good and not overly sweet. My daughter had the hot Chai tea and that had some strong Chai flavors and was also good. We shared a Japanese fruit crepe and that was excellent. It tasted very fresh, the fruits and cream worked well and it had just the right amount of sweetness. I still prefer Tea Do in China Town but happy to have Kung Fu as an alternative in Cherry Hill. 3.5 stars Tip - With a Yelp check in you get upgraded to a larger size drink. read more

Omg I was so excited to try this. The atmosphere is really cute. It's small with a few tables and a couch but needless to say I was excited to be here and try this. I got the honey oolong milk tea and it was soooo sooo good. My only thing was that when I asked the woman some questions regarding adding stuff to the drink she wasn't very informative but needless to say I tried one of the jelly's and I liked it! Yay for me I was adventurous and made a good decision lol. Now the balls (bubbles) let's talk about those black balls. Lol. They were so much fun. Not sure what they really do other than make the drink fun and that it did. Bring on the balls! Anyway I don't wanna get distracted by the balls (bubbles) but they were fun. Their milk teas are great, refreshing fruity teas also quenches your thirst. The tapioca bubbles are chewy and soft- the best consistency. Aloe or nata jellies are just as good. I alternate depending what I feel like getting. My go-tos: Almond milk tea with boba. Mango green tea no toppings. Honey green tea with nata jelly or honey oolong green tea. I have actually not tried the food because it's always so crowded in there... I actually don't enjoy this and it deters me from stopping by at times...
