I had my car out there for a repair as my a/c was not working. I was told by another shop that it was the compressor. I called and got an appt to put the car in to have them replace it due to that is where I take it for all of my repair and oil changes. Well the mechanic who worked on my car said it was something else and not the compressor that was fi e I was told. So took it back cause having the same issue and now they say it is the compressor. They said oh he thought it was ok. Now due to the other repair and them stating I needed other things had them fix that but now can not fix the compressor like they were suppose to. Buying a car is never an easy task, even less so due to my anxiety and panic attacks. After many weeks of preparing ourselves for a successful car buying expedition we arrived at Mike Erdman Toyoto and met with our consultant Jashua Maurico. After test driving the car I was interested in, we thought it was perfect and we wanted it. Easy peasy right? Five minutes later Jashua came back and said it had sold to someone else while we were test driving it!!! I just couldn't anymore so we left. Fast forward another month and we were prepared enough to try again. This time it went way more smoothly than I could have ever imagined and in hindsight I love my 2023 RAV4 even more than the previous car we had looked at. At the end of the day we couldn't have done this without Jashua! Not only was he super knowledgeable and answered every question we had, he was so kind and so patient with me with absolutely 0 pressure. Now I'm the owner of a brand spanking new beautiful RAV4 and I couldn't be more satisfied with our experience with Jash and with Mike Erdman Toyota. My wife and I bought a certified used 2019 Ford Expedition from Mike Erdman Toyota. We traded our old expedition in, but wanted something with lower miles. My wife and I ended up purchasing the Expedition after putting down $3000 dollars. We then proceeded to take a trip back to my wife's family in South Dakota as my mother in law has stage 4 cancer. we made it to St. Louis when the back drivers side wheel had two seared lug nuts. We had to contact a mechanic and luckily we found one that fixed our vehicle that night. He also informed us that our family was lucky to be alive as the dealership had under torqued the lug nuts on all the tires. My wife and I have gone back and forth with Mike Erdman Toyota on reimbursement which equated close to $900 and received a check for half that amount. The scariest part is that my family of six could have died on the interstate that day and you cannot even pay me back the full reimbursement. All we asked them for was a full reimbursement at least and maybe a new rim since the lug nuts searing off had created an issue with the rim and lug nuts seating properly. I am very disappointed in this company as I have had to keep calling them after they lost service paperwork which I provided for vehicle issues. They also, obviously do not care much about the lives that could have been lost after just buying one of their vehicles. I will accept some responsibility for not doing better research before I went in but they lislead on what the true MSRP was. Try to avoid this dealership if at all possible. They will lie to your face. If you have to do business with them, make sure you read everything before you sign. The funny thing is, I normally read all the documents but I was in a rush that particular day. Being such a large dealership, I thought it would be fine. I was even chatting with the finance manager, who agreed that I had nothing to worry about because "Mike Erdman wouldn't risk their reputation for a couple hundred dollars". Well they did. The amount I financed was higher than I agreed by a few hundred dollars. Speer, the salesman, lied to my face about the negotiated amount. I asked them to see if this could be fixed but 2 weeks without a response is long enough and I don't have the time or energy to keep asking them to follow up on this for few hundred dollars. They reached out after I left a bad google review claiming that they could fix it and make it right. It was just a show to trick the public into thinking they actually would do something. I spoke with them, asked them to correct their mistake, and they told me there was nothing they could do. And by nothing I mean absolutely nothing, all they did was waste my time. Another thing to watch out for is that they will try to make you finance with them at high rates for a discount to the price. They will tell you that refinancing after 6 months is free. For people inexperienced with refinancing, there can be a $300 fee charged by the bank, so keep that in mind when calculating your total cost. The penalty for terminating the loan before 6 months is very high and anti-consumer. I will say that they were very professional, responsive, and helpful throughout the whole sales process. But if you can't trust them when you put pen to paper what's the point? If you buy from them make sure you read EVERYTHING. I learned an expensive lesson by trusting them and not reading everything carefully. Hope this helps someone. read more

Yikes! Went in to test drive a Corolla Cross, and found out they were getting a 2022 XLE in Celestite, the exact car I was looking for. Spoke with Ed, who was very nice and able to get my trade in at a reasonable value, got the financing set up for the car, put down a $500 deposit to "secure the car", and it was scheduled to get here November 16th, 2022. We leave my mom's number as the phone number to call when updates on the car are available, as I work unpredictable hours. We got a call from Ed saying that there was no delay, despite Hurricane Nicole. November 16th came and went, got word that morning that the car got "delayed", citing hurricane nicole being the delay. I understand things happen, but that was a disappointment, considering this was my first ever car buying experience. I expressed my frustrations to AK, who seemed more annoyed than remorseful. It gets delayed two more times, and Ed apologized, stating that he'd speak with the GM about compensation. The car finally arrives on December 1st, 2022. Ed sincerely apologizes for the delay once again. I sign the paperwork, excited and relieved to finally have gotten the car, only to discover when I got home the original car I had thought I was getting had a different VIN. Between the car delays, to getting a car with a different VIN, I feel like the car I had originally thought I was getting was sold to someone else, and they had to scramble to get a new one in the same color, trim, make and model, and I was not told the truth. Which negates the whole "$500 to secure the car" that I had to do in October. The next thing I noticed was this very strange pinstriping done to my car that I hadn't seen in any of the research I'd done (and I looked at a lot of content on this car, I had to keep myself excited after three different delays). This detail was applied very shoddily, with hairs STUCK IN THE PINSTRIPING. Hairs and fibers stuck in the pinstripes, as well as it stopping in strange places on the car. Pinstripes I didn't even know would be on the car that I did not want, an extra $380 for something I could make for less than $5 on my cricut machine!!! (This includes the window tinting as well, but I'm sure it was still an extra unwanted cost). When given the surveys at the end of this experience, I was honest on how rough the experience was, where it asked me to put down my contact information, where I did. The GM, Troy, called my mother instead of me initially. I called and asked to speak with him, and left my contact information again on his voicemail. My mom then called, requesting to speak with him. His voicemail again!! It's now been over a month, and I haven't gotten a response. Never got the compensation that Ed was going to talk to Troy about, and paid extra for this horrendous pinstriping!! The car itself is amazing and everything I wanted, but the dealership definitely tainted the experience for me, and makes me worried about getting another car. On 6/6/2019 Dropping the rating score down one more notch today due to the Finance guy didn't listen to me during my purchase on May 22nd. I told him my wife's old Camry tag was in her name and birth month since we had JUST renewed it. He made everything sound as if the tag would just move over and we would continue on with no problem. Well we just got the new registration in the mail and guess what, he didn't listen and put my name and birth month first causing me to lose about $50 on the old tag and now we have two vehicles that are split 6 months and have to make 2 trips to the DMV for tag renewals! Be warned hat the Finance Dept. person may not be listening to your needs when sitting across from them at that desk! All I can say is be very cautious on all that paperwork that'll be coming at you to sign. I guess I should have brought an attorney is all I can figure because they don't seem to listen to your needs. Or better yet go to your bank / Credit Union and get pre approved. Maybe they will listen and help you with something like this! On 5/23/2019 gave 2 stars. Salesman that I bought my 2019 Camry XSE from yesterday is not fully up to speed on all the features my car had to offer. He sold me on a backup sensor and never mentioned that the car had a backup camera installed already. Really no need in a sensor after my wife found out it existed when she got the car home and backed up out of the driveway. Tried to get out of them installing the sensor and was told that it was a custom order item and it couldn't be sent back. I found out today it was a generic item not custom and I still couldn't back out of the deal and had to have it installed. Beware of buying from here without doing your homework on what comes on these High Tech cars first or you may get stuck buying something you don't need. The car is great by the way. They did the recall. No problem. Had a alignment done while I was there. The guy overcharged me on my debit card 600 bucks. He said he'd refund it and it would go right back on. Well two days later and it's still not back on. Now I don't have access to my 600 bucks to pay bills with and I'm going to be late on a payment. Do they care ... NO!!! They should have refunded my money in cash. Morons. I've had nothing but bad service since I've bought a car from them. I'm still upset about being charged over 30 bucks to plug a tire when I just bought the car like a week before a while back. They couldn't have done me a service. For thirty bucks they made their reputation dirt with me. Now I'm out 600 bucks because of this guys incompetence and I'm going be late paying a bill. Very very poor company. I needed a new remote for our 2006 Prius. The cost of the key was about $223 (without a manual key). The parts dept. estimated that the cost to program the key would be about $90. I made an appointment, but was very disappointed. My advisor, Jesse, was pleasant enough. When he added additional charges (including freight and shop fee), the cost of programming the new key was $240 (after he gave us a $10 discount). That seemed unreasonable to us for simply programming a new key + our existing keys. Since $460 seemed too expensive, we found another Toyota dealer which was more customer friendly and affordable. At the other dealer, the total cost (+ $235 for the new key--which included a manual key + the remote) was about $30. Total cost: $265--a savings of nearly $200, and very caring and friendly. As long as we have our Prius, we will go to the other dealer (Toyota of Melbourne), and probably be their customer as long as we have our Prius. I am sorry to be so negative, but based on my experience on Monday, June 22 (and today: Wednesday, June 24), I prefer to go to a dealer that tries to think of the customer and make costs affordable. read more

Unfortunately our experience was very very poor. I have tried giving them a fair shake for the past 3 or 4 months, however, there is very little they are getting right. There's something wrong with the radiator" - "Oh, sorry, it's just dried radiator fluid we didn't clean up from when you brought it in last time." I wanted to look at a Prius. After taking my Camry to Mike Erdman Toyota, I seriously question their service department's ability to assess issues and make recommendation. I previously had an issue with my steering wheel squeaking on my Toyota camry. After doing a little research, it turns out that Toyota had issued a technical service bulletin detailing the issue and the fix. The fix was simple - it just needed to be lubed. I tried to explain this to the customer service manager who instead told me that the steering wheel column needed to be completely taken apart and examined. Of course this would be a time consuming labor intensive effort that would probably cost a lot. I ended up taking my car to another dealership where they simply applied the lube free of charge. read more

If you use this dealership, expect to be fleeced. They will add charges to your bill no matter how little your cost is. For example, I had them replace a plastic clip on the brake pedal that cost only $10. Took 10 seconds to install. I got billed $30 for labor, $5.75 for MISC charges (environmental impact fee, resupply fee, etc) They do good work for sure but you should expect to pay 5 times what it should cost. read more

Erdman toyota service department is criminal. They changed the timing belt on my Celica but not the water pump - then when it broke down they said I told them not to put in a new water pump - like I would know to tell them that...puhleeze. I had to pay for 2 timing belts within 1 week. They seem consumed with replacing brakes whether you need them or not - I had another mechanic check my brakes and he said they were fine...Basically if their lips are moving they are lying! We've had our Rav4 Sport for a year now. They have been great running us home (from 520 on Merritt Island to Cape Canaveral) every time. The maintenance service has always been handled quickly and professionally. Today they even called and said "our driver is in your area and your car is ready, would you like a lift?" Saved one of us 30 minutes from having to make the run over. Every time we've had the car in for regular maintenance they've washed the car for us, no charge. So far, so good. Glad we bought here instead of going to Orlando. read more

Disgusted as a second time buyer. I put a $1000 deposit down on an incoming 2022 Toyota Corolla in early June with an agreed upon sales price. On the day of delivery, not my salesman, but another employee, Jimmy Christian, came out of the office and said "there is a problem". You paid off the last car you bought early, so if you want this car, the need to pay $500 more than we agreed upon". Here's the problem. THIS WASN'T TRUE. I bought my previous car from them for cash. I paid for the car with a bank check on the day of delivery. I never agreed to a loan. Furthermore, the Toyota loan contract allows a pre-payment with a $75 penalty. I prepaid a loan on a previous car about 3 years ago as THEIR contract allows. After waiting 3 weeks for my car, this extortion tactic simply stinks. It is a poor business practice, especially when dealing with repeat customers. Mr. Christian was abrasive & confrontational at best, but rude, obnoxious and unprofessional would be better descriptive. I'm still awaiting a return of my $1000 deposit from this disgraceful dealership. I hope everyone reads this takes their business elsewhere. I now have a deposit with Earl Stewart Toyota in West Palm Beach. I bought a car from them in late 2016 and the process was simple, clean & honest. I took my Siena in for a 60,000 mile service and was charged about $590 for simple work. They told me I needed a new tire which I turned down. Turns out the run-flat tire was okay but needed the valve stem replaced. A new tire runs about $250 and a valve stem replacement cost me $15. I won't go back. Their prices are too high and they misdiagnosed my problem. A fancy facility with all kinds of amenities but way overpriced and unsatisfactory service. read more

Went in just to look, ended up leasing a vehicle..i never leased before so i didn't know the process..was taken fully advanced of..person who was assisting me lied..i know dealership personnel will say whatever to convince you to buy but it's not right when they lie and the results could financially hurt you..during the process the salesman started out with a reasonable amount for monthly payments (stated he has seen them work with numbers that low) and of course that wasn't accepted and the payments ended up being much much more..when asked if there are other fees, anything hidden he stated no..after i traded my car to them, they come back with a bigger monthly amount because the amount didn't include the taxes and were trying to convince me i needed to purchase a warranty required when leasing, after i specifically asked about other fees..before he started preparing everything i specifically informed him i can't make the first payment until december 1st..he gave me the impression it will not be a problem and it could be done..at no time did he inform me when leasing a car you don't have that option..throughout the whole process he kept mentioning how he has been selling and leasing cars for years, how he leases he own vehicle..with all this experience, he knew that my request was going to be denied..yet he did not inform me and proceeded with the paperwork..i did not peruse all the paperwork at that time because it would have taken forever and i was already there for 4/5 hours so i waited until i got home..upon reviewing the paperwork i found in the lease agreement my first payment is due in november not december as i requested..the next morning, i spoke to someone who processes the loans at the dealership, he stated with lease vehicles payments are due each month after first payment is made at the time of purchase..i do not have the option to choose a payment date..later that day, when i spoke to the salesman he stated I need to call toyota financial to make that request..another lie..loans on a lease vehicle have standard procedures yet he allowed me to proceed with the lease knowing i was not financially prepared to make a payment in november..causing financial hardship to get funds together to make a payment in november or risk it effecting my credit..when this lease is over i will return the vehicle and not purchase another one from them..I will not recommend them to anyone..I know car salemen play games to make a sale but there should be a limit on how far they go.. Update as of 11.9.20..I spoke to Troy Tidwell, sales manager regarding the November payment approximately 4 days after writing original review..he offered to pay half of the amount due for November payment..He lied..I nevered received the check he said he would send me nor did i get a credit on my loan for half the monthly payment.. Two weeks after I leased the car I get an email stating that my maintenance service is for 2yrs/25000 miles after I was told when I got the car that they cover the maintenance for 3yrs/30000 miles.. i reiterate what i said earlier..they are the worst and I will never recommend them..in fact, I will rag them every chance I get.. It's a damn shame that Florida does not have a consumer auto fraud protection law to protect their citizens from dealerships like this one..allowing them to put an arbitration clause in their contracts to prevent consumers from sueing them..allowing them to scam people and get away with it.. read more

On the 2nd attempt to make it right, appt was for 7:30to drop off car and pick up one of their cars. He was there, no one else was. I was referred to this dealership as I had several dreadful interactions w 2 Corporation run Auto Rental business, and was told that they indeed did car rental and would be a pleasure to interact with? And as I was also in the market to purchase a new, or "new to me" vehicle I thought this would be a nice pairing. I called ahead and spoke to the rental person whom was polite & informative. Pleased? I booked for following day, where a stupid mishap on my partners end, caused to call and arrange to start following day. The weekly amount was reasonable, the car just as promised al all went better than any previous rentals here in Brevard. The need for additional week arose & as the car was out of town w B whom had rented? I went into to extend additional week, payment for in hand and was looking forward to seeing the very nice rental person Becky, and hopefully speak to a recommended sales person as well. Our exchange in meeting went wonderfully (or so I thought) and I was introduced to her preferred sales person whom was nice, professional and far from pushy, a common denominator I sadly found in most car sales people I had been in contact w prior. I thought that although the Toyota was not my #1 pick? That there WERE many good qualities as my comfort factor with purchase and future dealing w dealership ment almost as much to me as the purchase. And also? As B was thinking of trading his own in (problems w both our vehicles was the reason for rental) and based on my exchange and his? We were excited to have decided that BOTH of would purchase in different venues and relayed to friends how wonderful our luck was to have found friendly, and honest dealership service in our area. I was to return the next day to go over what I was going to purchase, but my sons father died suddenly in VA, leaving me w much to do and support for him until his departure could be arranged. B was our of town, so all my doing and much his father had left undone.. the days were filled w stress and sorrow, honesty the car purchase was put until after my son was to leave. The rental was a weekly which was paid Wed-Wed, on Tuesday B whom had been consumed w his work included many extra hours due to the sad passing of a co worker, he also had not had time to think as to the pending purchase for either of us.. A phone call from the lovely Becky came in late afternoon as related to running our Bank card for upcoming week and disturbed (and angry it seems) it was denied. B spoke w her and apologized venimenytly, also honestly a bit embarrassed as he had used the card for all work related expenses, but had forgotten to drop payment of in the bank (down the street at local Suntrust) with all going on. He assured her to please just wait a few, then proceed as he was immediately headed to clear. He called the bank (as he has banked there for 25+ years)?explained and was cleared for the incoming charge even before 10 mins later deposit. NOW HERE IS WHERE THINGS GOT STRANGE.. He received a message on his VM by a ANGERED man whom identified himself as the dealership GM and stated " he (B) was in for more than he could handle (‍) if the car was not returned IMMEDIATELY AND TO STOP INTIMIDATING THE RENTAL AGENT OR THERE WOULD BE MORE PROBLEMS "Buddy" was how B a customer w NO issues at all w rental agent Becky or this angered GM? He called as soon as returned home and relayed to Becky he was totally dumbfounded as to the threats from a ominous "GM" & the cause of? Becky said B must have misunderstood and it was only to ask him to please come in to exchange cars as the one rented had a private request. Now at that moment it was POURING, & it does not take a genius to understand that was BS it's a RENTAL car and many more of existing ones directly on lot to choose from, he was under no level in contract violation and as he had to take myself & my sun to airport? He could have refused, but instead trudged out in the downpour, filled w gas as respectfully requested and went to see Becky for car exchange. The moment he handed keys she said he would NEVER be renting out of her department and demanded his cc to return deposit held, he was completely unable to understand what this was permeated from? He was yelled at to leave and escorted out (still pouring)?by a gentleman with no explanation, no refund of extra Day charges, and confused beyond words.. Honestly the gentleman told by Becky to remove him seemed embarrassed by all and was kind enough to offer a return home. And to this day? Have NO IDEA what ignited the metamorphosis of professionalism and contact to the unprovoked, discourteous and eliminating actionable lack of legible conduct. Horrified is an understatement, both in rental and manger of dealership actions, but have to be thankful that the inheritors behavior showed BEFORE purchasing. One person in the service dept that i like is Dani! Service light came on which usually means oil change time but she checked and oil change is not due for another 5,000 mi. I appreciate her being honest and not doing unnecessarily! The light came on for rotation. She had warning reset, tires and fluid checked. Thanks Dani!! read more
