Sold a lemon car. Shakes and told it's the profile of new car. We have had 3 sets of tires on car and HQ Hyundai says there is an issue. Calling me with accusations of damage to loaner vehicle they later had to walk back with apologies. It has been several months since my repairs at the Cocoa Hyundai collision center and this review is long over due. Following the hurricanes that hit Florida last year I had a Palm tree fall on the bed of my truck causing heavy damage. I made a claim with my insurance provider who sent me to the Hyundai collision center, where I spoke with John. Throughout the entire experience I was kept up to date with the repairs and even offered a spray in bed liner as opposed to a stock bed with no liner like I previously had. My truck looks amazing and I couldn't be happier, thank you John and the rest of the staff. read more

Cocoa immediately took the vehicle in on the spot, confirmed the issue, ordered parts, and had me in a rental car within an hour. Avoid Coastal Hyunda in Melbourne. This dealership is under the same ownership as Coastal. These people have drug dealers working in their service department. they won't honor the "warranty" that comes with their cars. I called Hyundai customer service and reported them and now they have called me saying they no longer will work on the car and to go to a Hyundai out of brevard basically because they own both cocoa and coastal Hyundai. Update: I contacted the sales manager directly, explained my situation and he has arranged to fix my paint issue on Sunday. I will update again once I pick up the vehicle. He had me come down and the auto body mgr. took a look at damaged paint and the discussed how to correct it. They both handled the situation very professionally and offered me a loaner car for the time it will be in the shop. I feel so much better about my purchase now. Everywhere I read it said that you get a $7500 rebate if you lease an electric car. I leased an Ionique 5 last month and they insisted it's only $5000 rebate. Recently, I checked with other Hyundai dealers and they said it was $7500. I leased it at the time anyway with the $5000 rebate. Now I am trying to communicate with my 2 sales people and they will not reply or return my calls. Even the customer relations manager, Karl, will not return my call. Bought a sonata online - had a issue with the side mirror. My wife took it in after making an appointment that same day. My wife took it in and Morgan was very helpful. The car was 1 day out of warranty and she said she'll look into getting it fixed for free under warranty. And she did - they checked the car out. Told her she could wait to do the oil change. I first want to apologize to Josh and the entire Sales Team for this review. The Sales Team were indeed 5 Stars! When we purchased our NEW Hyundai 2 months ago we were very happy w/the process.However, when we buy a car we naively believe its a package deal meaning Sales and Service are both working for the clients of the dealership. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case yesterday and both myself and my husband are completely dissatisfied with our first service visit. It started with my NEW car not starting in my driveway. I had a difficult time getting the unlock on the remote to work. I had to be right next to the door.Once inside the engine would not turnover-only a weak click. I noticed quickly the dim illumination on the dash and gear box along with a RED warning message on the screen stating the battery was very low. NO, I DID NOT LEAVE ANYTHING ON IN THE CAR! In fact, I'm very obsessive about locking my car and setting the alarm. We've driven the car everyday since its purchase but it only has 1491 miles. So not starting out of the blue is not acceptable and something to be concerned about no matter how their service dept feels. The car hadn't been driven for perhaps 3 days due to illness and that's the longest it has sat idle since purchase. I was going to call for towing but when I called my husband he suggested I try charging the battery first with our portable battery charger. I waited about 35 minutes after placing the battery on the charger at 10amps and it came back up showing a full surface charge. I called Cocoa Hyundai Service and explained the issue with my NEW car. He asked what year was the car and I said 2018 with less than 1500 miles.He responded by asking me if the car had less than 36,000 miles in order for the warranty to still cover the battery. Apparently listening isn't a strong skill in Service? I again stated this was a NEW car and that I wanted a NEW battery put in the car because this battery should not have self-discharged at this rate especially when this car only had 11 miles on the odometer when we bought the car. I have to wonder about this car since it could have sat on the lot for over a year and who knows how old the battery actually was when the car was built in South Korea? I know with only 11 miles at purchase it wasn't driven much at the dealership. When I arrived and again said I wanted a new battery put in my NEW car, I was asked if I had an APPT! No, I just called and was told to bring in the car. Next came did I know the name of who I spoke with about this problem? No, does that matter? He then asked someone at a desk if they HAD TIME TO TAKE A BATTERY WALK-IN WITHOUT AN APPT? This borders on lunacy. Anyway the car was taken back. Next encounter with the service man was his paperwork and assurance that everything checked "GOOD" diagnostically and I was good to go. I called my husband who is an excellent mechanic after leaving the dealership and he was very upset with them. He said the test would naturally have been GOOD since I just put a full surface charge on the battery only an hour before and then drove the car. But as he told me, their test does not explain the rapid self-discharge simply because the car wasn't driven for a few days? I wonder if my husband had taken the car in would he have been taken more seriously? I felt very patronized and treated like a child who probably left a dome light on etc. No wonder woman hate dealership! I certainly won't be returning to this service dept. If they can't replace a battery in a NEW car based on my word that something is definitely wrong then do I really want to trust them with something much more in depth? Sorry, Josh, but they had their first and last shot with us and they failed miserably. read more

The dealership customer service is ridiculous. While my vehicle was in the body shop, several calls back and forth were needed between the body shop, insurance and myself. Each call to the main number was answered by the same ignorant person who insisted on a first and last name just to be transferred to the body shop. After 70 plus calls over 3 weeks, it gets to be more than annoying. When refusing to give the last name, he refused to transfer to the body shop. Bad customer service. Not only the refusal, but the snide attitude set me off. He stated that without a last name there would be no transfer. I told him that that hasn't always been the case and to just transfer me to the body shop, as MY vehicle required additional updates via phone. I told him I would speak to his manager and he stated that his manager made the policy. I guess badgering a customer is his way of compensating for his low paying job. I told him to get his manager on the phone and I would speak to him. He mysteriously couldn't find a manager in the entire building. I told him he was a dick with an attitude and I would be up there to speak to his manager. I have since changed my position and feel that showing everyone on yelp what a dick with an attitude does to enhance customer service by telling my story. In all fairness the folks in the body shop have been excellent to deal with and have gone above and beyond in every sense of the meaning. Much appreciation to Mitch. He has been helpful, understanding, polite and a joy to work with. As for the dick that answers the main phone line; You now have someone who currently owns 4 Hyundai's that will never set foot on that sales floor to purchase a vehicle from Cocoa Hyundai. There are other Hyundai dealerships in the area who appreciate their customers and will answer the phone in a non confrontational way. The best advice I have for him is to go get a job that he actually enjoys going to daily. Until then I'm sure others will stray away from the dealership as well. Nice job! I've been a Hyundai customer for five years, never missed a payment, and I walk into this dealership and the manager sits in his office and sends his salesman to me 8 times trying to haggle me for a payment I cannot afford and wants a down payment even though I explained that my children were kidnapped to Lebanon and my cash goes to court fees fighting to bring them home. Manager never got up to shake my hand nor say hello. Salesman did nothing but brag to me about his struggles with his daughter knowing my children were kidnapped. Horrible experience. Lett me begin with I purchased a brand hen my payment was due I was shocked again to find out they had forgotten to file paperwork with bank. So the calls started. Finally the loan was there and I made a payment. But they never paid off my trade. I recieved letters and calls from bank that I was delinquent. I called and called they reassured me they would process payment. Yet again they messed up, they paid off wrong car. So I had to start calling again. Finally after many calls they paid trade in off. I tried for months to pay car payment on my new car but unable to because of yet another mistake by the dealership. The bank closed the loan. Here we are today 5 months later and I find out from bank that dealership got their money returned and I am facing repossession because there was not a payment made. Which I was unable to make because they paid off wrong account.I have multiple penalties and late fees and negative remarks on my credit profile from yet again another of their mistakes. This truly is horrible that this is happening to me. The dealership should be responsible for the penalties and late fees. For all the stress and heartache this has cost me the dealership should take ownership in their mistakes. They should make this right. This is no way to treat a customer.
