I had the guy at the counter test my battery and he came out and tested the battery in my car and…read moretold me my battery was bad and needed a new one, it is a 48 month battery and it has been roughly 4 years so I trusted this guy knew how to read a volt meter and went home pulled my battery out which is a little more involved then just undoing the connections and found a replacement at another parts store and took my battery in for a core charge but had them check it to verify it was bad, it tested good, they said it was weak but still good enough, so since I have gotten two different results I figured I would get a third opinion to be sure, the third place said it tested good no problems, so thanks to the incompetence if the counter guy here at O'Reillys I wasted over a hour of my time for absolutely nothing, there is no compensation for time, so I will never go to O'Reillys again and would never recommend this place to anyone, i would tell anyone that asks to go somewhere else simply because if they can't train there help to do something as simple as testing a battery how can you trust that they can find the right part or recommend any product, this place should be looked at by corporate.

Advance Auto does not have the best computer system that makes it a little difficult for someone who's not well versed in the field. Some of the counter people are not. He told me they didn't usually order solar octane 4Runners because it's an undesirable color. A couple days later he calls me back and said he found one that could be shipped to their dealership in Lafayette but it would be a $7,500 markup added on to the price... How does that make sense? It's an undesirable color which makes it hard to sell...but you're going to add a mark up. Talk about frauds. Dont shop here, never pay above MSRP.
