We checked out Mike Shellito Indoor Pool for the first time last weekend for a pool party. We spent an hour in one of their private rooms to do food and cake. It was then followed by 2 hours of swim in their open pool area. The workers were really helpful and attentive - check-in was really smooth and easy too. I know they allow outside food as well, but your setup and clean up time is apart of your 3 hour time slot so keep that in mind. The pool was nice and clean from what I could see. They also set up an inflatable obstacle course - the kids need to pass a swim test by themselves before they can do it too. I spotted at least 4 different life guards on duty which made the experience feel safe. I highly recommend this place for birthday parties!

I can't wait to go back to this place when it's open they have great customer service. The pool is very clean and so is everywhere else in this place. Can't wait until you open....

Stopped in here for a work out while travelling the day before Thanksgiving. It's convenient and clean. Friendly people at the front desk. Plenty of lanes to use and nice open area to help dissipate the chlorine from the pool. There are 2 pools - one is Therapy related and this other one is sometimes lap time, sometimes for recreation. One Con is the locker room - the bench was loose and unstable and fit 2 guys, and the handicap shower room seemed like it was going to fall apart. Still very happy to have the access for a good work out while travelling for $7 drop in rate.

    Happily swimming with Dakota!

My two year old son took lessons at Mike Shellito for about a month. I have been impressed with how well the instructors (Alyssa and Dakota) interacted with him and the other children they taught. They were very open with communication and consistently offered feedback and suggestions, and they are open to suggestions from me as the parent to help my child succeed and progress. The classes get booked really fast or I would have enrolled him again.

Indoor pools always seem extra dirty to me. this one wasn't so bad. I like the windows, open feeling to see the sun while indoor swimming.

From day one, Kelli created a warm, welcoming environment that made our grandson feel safe and excited to be in the water. All of the instructors (Kelli, Sam, and Joe) are incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and truly understands how to work with young children while blending fun with important water safety skills in the perfect balance. Each week's lesson is well-structured, age-appropriate that keeps our 3-year old grandson focused and smiling. We were amazed by the progress in just a few short weeks. Swim students are one-on-one with their instructor. It's clear they genuinely care about each child's comfort and development. We highly recommend these lessons to any parent looking to introduce their child to swimming or expand their child's swimming skills.

I kindly asked if we could wait for a female instructor, or return another time for a female instructor. The office told me it was either now with the male or come to family swim. First and foremost, the management was downright disrespectful and you can tell that the employees were being manipulated. During swim lessons I noticed that a staff member was watching my daughters swim teacher while she was teaching. This made mme extremely uncomfortable as the lesson was going well and everything seemed normal, until this I noticed that we were being intensely watched. The employee went as far as criticizing my daughters teacher in front the both of us, causing extreme discomfort. I left the lesson wondering if I should ever bring my daughter back, which I didn't. I would never recommend this place to anyone I know and I would beware of the staff.

After 8 months of lessons, he hadn't learned a single swim stroke (e.g. Elementary breaststroke, freestyle), and he still doesn't know how to tread water. The staff are super friendly and helpful, but Aqua-Tot's lesson plan is extremely ineffective for Level 3. Instead of learning useful strokes, our kid wasted 80% of his time in class sitting on the side out of the water waiting for his turn to get in, and the other 20% of the time learning unimportant skills such as "Chicken Star Rocket" and how to float on the back. All we really wanted was for him to learn a single stroke so that he can swim in the pool by himself. Everything else was secondary. At Level 3 and above, classes are shared with 4 kids per class, and they only teach 1 kid at a time. The trainers also spend a lot of time swapping between kids and checking their tablets for progress. So each kid really only gets about 5 minutes of training per 30 minute class. There's a lot of wasted time. The biggest problem with Aqua-Tots is the lesson plan. They don't allow kids to begin learning any swim strokes until they master a very large number of unimportant skills. These include skills such as flipping over, floating on the back, "Chicken Star Rocket", and keeping their head underwater for a long period of time. It's pretty easy to accomplish these skills at the 2-stars level, but getting the 3 stars to completely master them is very difficult. Normally, kids should learn breaststroke, and then they'll naturally pick up all the extra skills naturally on their own without needing any training. In summary, we wasted $1000 and 8 months without having learned either breaststroke or freestyle.

It's very easy to combine training here with life with a newborn or a toddler. There's a wonderful kids' room and a caring team that takes great care of the little ones, so parents can relax, train, and focus on restoring their bodies with peace of mind. The spa area is excellent. There used to be a eucalyptus park that instantly made you fall in love the moment you stepped inside. Unfortunately, it's no longer in use, but the steam room is still absolutely fantastic. There are also great outdoor summer slides and pools for children. Of course, after so many years of visiting this fitness club, it would be nice to see some updates -- renovations, new features, or refreshed spaces. The kids are already very familiar with everything, and it's not as exciting for them anymore. Overall, Villasport remains a fantastic fitness club that meets all essential standards, in my opinion. The group classes are excellent -- special thanks for Body Pump! Incredible trainers and an outstanding class. Highly recommended
