    This is the quote from Mike Williams for the AC and Furnace. They use a 3rd party quoting website so their logo isn't on it.

    Absolutely do not trust this business. I was one of their "members". They were supposed to check my AC in spring, I took the day off work, they never showed and called the next day saying "Hey sorry we didn't get around to it we are coming today". I had to work and couldn't do that. They were supposed to call and reschedule and didn't. Then, in fall, they called again to do a furnace inspection, condemned my furnace, then tried to convince me I needed a new AC unit. I had them fix the AC two years ago and the unit is from 2012. I told them I didn't want or need an AC unit but they quoted me for one anyway. They were going to charge $10,060 for just the furnace or $15,260 for the AC and furnace. This was with their "member discount" and they said I had to say yes right away or I'd lose access to an additional discount from their supplier. It was pathetic and obvious that they were trying to scam me. I told them I don't make snap decisions when spending $10,000-$15,000 and got another quote. They assured me I was getting a great deal and said other companies wouldn't be able to come out before winter (this was early October). Henson Robinson came the next week and said the furnace shouldn't have been condemned, but it was due to be replaced (it was from 1989 so I couldn't really argue with them on that). Henson Robinson quoted me at $4,560 and refused to provide a quote on the AC because there was absolutely nothing wrong with it and they felt unethical even providing a quote. They replaced it the next week, in and out with zero issue, very polite and courteous employees, less than half the cost. I called to cancel my membership with Mike Williams. I was told by their employee Liz that only one person, Lewis, could do that and he would call me back. A week later, no phone call. The next week I called back. I was told the same thing. I told them I would see them in Court of Claims if I'm charged again. I had to call back a week later because they STILL had not called me back. Spoke with Liz again who put my on hold to "see if Lewis could cancel it". I sat on hold for 15 minutes listening to the world's worst country "on hold" song on repeat before Lewis picked up the phone and then immediately hung up. I called back and got someone named Katie. I tried to explain the situation and while I did, she put my on hold mid sentence. I hung up and called back AGAIN. I got Liz again who said "oh it was cancelled five days ago. So they could have told me that all along but decided to punish me for cancelling my membership apparently. AVOID THESE DIRTBAGS! Clearly the "membership" is a ploy to try to sell people new furnaces/AC units they don't need. They won't even let people cancel their memberships without trying to milk them for one last month. I checked around and this appears to be the common experience with people who use Mike Williams. I highly recommend avoiding doing business with this company. Clearly their inspectors are incentivized to act like pushy salesmen by creating immediacy and trying to scare people into making snap purchases before gouging them by charging 2-3 times what other companies are charging. Avoid, avoid, avoid this company.

    I hired Aire Serve Springfield, IL to furnish and install an AC condenser, coil, and fabricated box…read morefor my 950 sq. ft. mobile home. After the installation I noticed the exterior disconnect was installed behind the condenser, the line set not supported from condenser to interior unit, drain line not present, floor penetration not properly sealed, no permit. I spoke with Joe and Jill and they explained they would send the technician out to correct the deficiencies. Jill squared away the permit. The technician came out to relocate the disconnect, install two support straps for the line set, sealed the floor penetration for the line set, and a surprise pvc drainage line installed for condensation. The city of Springfield, IL inspector came out and noticed the condenser was not level and the code required safety caps were not installed on the refrigerant connectors. Apparently, code required for theft purposes. Aire Serve was very responsive with scheduling the technician back for eliminating the code violations. My suggestion to Aire Serve is to educate/retrain technicians on industry codes. Three stars for a basic installation to take three trips for code compliance and for the technicians parting words "Try to have a good day."

I was told by Air Serv that no one could pull a permit for an existing furnace, and that I would have to replace the entire furnace and air conditioner system. I told them that the inspector specifically asked me to have licensed HVAC guy pull a permit to have it repaired - it was mostly an issue of placement - and they tried, again, to sell me on a whole new system. They were polite about it, and if you want a whole new system, maybe they're great. But repair was not something they were interested in.

He gave me a couple suggestions to try. He was dead on with his suggestions. I called him back told him what I discovered and we scheduled Bob to come out the next day in between 10 am and noon. He showed up at 9am and was out of here by 10 am. He charged me exactly what he said the price was probably going to be if that was the only problem. I am very satisfied with Bob Bergen/ his team and would recommend him to anyone. He will always receive my business.

He came Sunday to inspect the damage. Unfortunately as I had feared due to the smoke coming out of my outside vent, the entire furnace needed replaced. Bob showed me exactly what was wrong with a video scope inside the furnace and told me how much the replacement would cost. He also offered me space heaters, but fortunately I already had two and a gas fireplace. On Tuesday, his employee James came and replaced the furnace and I was relieved to have heat again. They were both very courteous and helpful and I would definitely use them again. I had also used Bob several years ago to replace an air conditioner.
