Jim is the best photographer we have ever met! He is particularly specialized in wedding /pre-wedding photo shoot. What we love most of is his skills in doing portraits, capturing those trivial moments and emotions of us interacting which can present the unique chemistry between us in the pictures. We both loved the nature and he brought us to many pretty places including the forrest, national park, lake side, farmland and the vineyard. Jim Lee is amazing. We hired him for our wedding at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. He and his team did an incredible job. Starting with booking the vendors, I knew what I liked and what I didn't like, and immediately seeing Jim Lee's website and works, I knew that he had to be the one to do my wedding. Fortunately, he is a steal. Less than $3000, which is way more affordable compared to a lot of other photographers. And for that price, you get 8-9 hours of shooting, 2 photographers, and 600-900 digital photos without watermark. Now, that is an incredible value, especially after you see how well crafted, detailed and gorgeous his photos are. Communicating with Jim Lee was a breeze. We didn't really want to meet or even had time to meet with many vendors prior to our wedding, so Jim Lee was flexible, and let us just facetime him. Very flexible in letting me dictate what I wanted specifically when we were doing the contract (ie, which shoots I wanted, etc.). Fast forward to the day of, him and his team showed up early! Wonderful as it allowed more shooting time. He didn't even charge us for the extra hours of work. Another wonderful surprise is that not only did he have his second photographer, but also an assistant. So Jim Lee did his thing at our wedding, unintrusively yet still managing to capture everything. We got our photos roughly 1.5 months later, and they are beautiful. I can't stop looking at them. He shared over 100 on facebook, which saved me the trouble of selecting the best ones (I can't, they're all too good, haha!). We booked Jim for our engagement and wedding for fall 2020. Due to covid, our wedding plans for 2020 were pretty much out the window. Jim was super understanding when we had to reschedule our engagement shoot several times due to the pandemic. After months of delay, we were finally able to take our long awaited engagement pictures that we are now calling elopement pictures. My husband and I were super nervous about the shoot for several reasons. We've never had a photo shoot before so we were really worried about us looking natural and just being able to have nice photos. We were also nervous about taking pictures outdoors in a public area. Rest assured, Jim made us super comfortable and even had his own tricks up his sleeve that made our pictures turn out beautiful! He was prepared and carried extra hand sanitizers and masks. He had his mask on the whole time and we put ours on when we were around others. At the end of the shoot, Jim gave us an ETA of the turn around time. We were in no rush as our wedding has been postponed to over a year from our original date. However to our surprise, he had our pictures ready in a week and even provided the retouched pictures within a week as well. Time has flown by since our engagement session - my husband and I got married and Jim and his team were thankfully there to capture the day! My husband and I had a winter wedding on 12/7/18 in DUMBO, Brooklyn at 26 Bridge. We researched a lot of photographers beforehand and once we saw Jim's photos we knew he was our guy.
