My air conditioner after 25 years of service started to leak water through the grill . I called Mike's Air Conditioning on Monday and spoke to Howard and explained the issue. Howard said the bottom of the unit rusted out and more likely needs to be replaced. He said he would call me when he got back to his office. Within an hour Howard called me back and we discussed the best brand and model to use. He gave me a quote on the phone for the unit and installation. Howard also said that he could install it on Tuesday as well. I agreed and told Howard we are set to go. Howard also said the installation would take 4 hours. Howard and Jared came on Tuesday at 11:30 and were gone by 3pm. They were clean and the nicest two gentlemen you want to meet. What amazed me the most was on how perfect they tried to be installing the unit. They took there time to make sure every detail was taken care of from redoing the stucco on my house since the stucco was cemented to the old unit and caulking any gaps in the inside of the house. As Jared said " I like to take care of the cosmetics" when doing a job. The next thing that I appreciated was when Howard call me at 7pm that night to make sure the unit was doing its job as expected. I would use Mike's Air Conditioning again . I'm a little shocked by some of the reviews I just read about this company. I must say that they were life savers for me when my AC Unit failed. They asked me a bunch of questions prior to coming out to my house and made sure a visit was necessary. I needed a new 3 ton central air conditioning system in my house and I needed it right away. I have a sick mother living with me and a running AC unit was critical. They gave me some pricing scenarios before they came out to the house and when they showed up I was relieved. They were able to repair my existing AC unit and said I did not need a new one. I was so happy because here I was thinking I was going to be out a lot of money and all they did was connect a wire and charged me with a normal service call. I'm very happy to have connected with them and would tell other people about them every chance I can get. read more

Mike's Air Conditioning is a superb company to do business with. I called an HVAC contractor in NYC who highly recommended them for room unit installations. My building in midtown Manhattan has an old discontinued model that is wall mounted. After visiting a PC Richards store, the salesman there sent an installer to our apartment with not only the wrong type of air conditioner but one with the wrong electrical capacity as well. That same evening after a short conversation via the telephone with Howard, the owner, he immediately knew which unit would replace this discontinued model. Our building requires a certificate of insurance which they provided to our management company promptly the next morning. 2 weeks ago I called Mikes air conditioning on a friends recommendation. Our heating system hasn't been performing optimally for the past 2 years. My husband and I decided to clean out the vents since the system is about 10 years old. We called Howard @ Mike's air conditioning. He was so knowledgeable and HONEST. He informed us as to how to best approach cleaning the ducts. He came with a 4 man crew and was in my house for about 8 hours. He showed my husband and I the bags of dust that came out of the system. His price was fair and reasonable for the amount of labor that went into the job. We weren't looking for an in and out cheap special. I would highly recommend this company. read more

These guys aren't just "good" -- they're superb. I called in an emergency on a weekend-- three ac wall units in an apartment needed instant replacement. One was of an obsolete brand, whose size had to be matched. Every other ac place said "we don't handle that, sorry, goodbye." Mike's (Howard and Julius were my guys) were able to show up at my apartment in 24 hours with new units which they installed quickly. It wasn't an easy job. They had to yank out secure wall units, clean up the hidden mess (squirrels nested in two of the old units!), the works. They did it 1-2-3- AT A MORE THAN REASONABLE PRICE. No BS. Mike's installed four new air conditioners in our Manhattan apartment, and did a great job. When we called for a quote, the proprietor, Howard, was helpful and knowledgeable. The two workers arrived on time for the installation. They were clean, polite, cheerful, and efficient. They removed our old machines quickly, then were careful about installing the new units. The caulking around the baffles was a nice touch. They removed all their trash, and the final price was exactly as quoted. We would recommend them highly. What a terrific experience I had with Mike's Air conditioning company. It was not to long ago when the temperature was in the 80's. My Aunt who is in her mid 70's complained complained how hot she was because the AC unit broke down. I googled and found Mike's Air conditioning company, to make a long story short they came and removed the old AC and installed a newer one.
