Rosa was able to accommodate me right away, and Mike and his staff took about an hour to work on the car. I needed new brake lines on my jeep. I had almost no braking power and needed it fixed yesterday. After calling the service dept. at the dealership I bought my truck from and them telling me they wouldn't be able to fit me in for another three days I took a chance and called Mikes. They were able to fit me in the next day and had it finished by days end. Mike knew what he was talking about and gave me all the information and options I needed to feel well taken care of. He also preformed an extensive look over and told me and educated me on what other work my truck needed to be at tip top shape. A week ago today I had one of those days. Heading to the snow, I was 45 miles out of NYC when I blew a front tire. After two hours of trying to change it I was rescued by a state emergency truck whose driver was just terrific (angel #1). He put on the spare, which only made it about 5 miles before also blowing...fortunately just up the hill from Mike's Auto Care. A local sheriff's deputy (angel #2) stopped and called Mike's and Alex (angel #3) interrupted his work at Mike's, to drive up the hill and reflate the tire enough to enable me to limp down to Mike's shop. Alex then spent the next 2 hours figuring out a temporary tire solution to enable me to get back to NYC that evening. While Alex was working, Rosa (angel #4) was calling everyone she could to try to source a replacement tire. Mike's charges...minimal. The service...enormous. As such I cannot recommend Mike's Auto and Rosa and Alex highly enough. They helped turn a crappy day into one that became memorable for many small Christmas miracles. read more

This is probably one of the best auto service I have ever gotten. It was almost closing time and Mike took my car in and was able to fix tale lights. I can't recommend Mike and his team more highly. Once I told Rosa, the office manager, that I was trying to get on the road home to Virginia, she made my truck a priority. They were really busy shortly after I arrived, so I am glad I got there early. I was in conversation with Mike via phone while Alex, one of his mechanics, was looking at my truck. Once they determined the problem, Mike picked up the part himself on the way from home to the shop . That's service! I was in and out in two hours. One service that I think would be valuable to locals is that they will drop you home and pick you up when your car is ready. Pretty cool. Rosa and Mike were gracious hosts while I waited. On the way from Long Island to a relaxing Labor Day weekend upstate, the alternator goes on the truck. Stuck on the highway, we took a chance on Mike's Auto Care because of his ratings & we always want to help the locals rather than the corporations. And what a great find he was! He sent a tow truck & drove us to the shop. Everyone working there was great. Mike set us up with Enterprise Car Rental so we could continue on our vacation while the truck was being repaired. At first we weren't able to get the truck back until Tuesday because of the holiday weekend (our trip was ending the day before that). But Mike was so generous in extending himself, he opened the shop to get the job done. Wow!! Mike's Auto Care is a great service with great people. Tried to set up an appointment to have my photo inspection which my insurance company requires. When speaking with the horrible receptionist who did nothing but tell me to make an appointment elsewhere, then decides to hang up on me. Being from Goshen and in the auto industry I will make sure no one I know will bring there vehicle here for any reason. Just got home from my very first time at Mike's auto care center. When I called, I was greeted very kindly, and when I pulled my 98' civic in with it's rusted out and broken exhaust pipe, Rosa was very friendly as well. I didn't have a ride while I waited for the repairs, so I hung out there and read my book while talking intermittently with Mike and Rosa. Since I was there at 8:30am and their breakfast was on the way, they ordered an Omelet for me!!! I couldn't believe it. I went from going to Lee's Quality Tire center (where I was treated like I was a burden) to Mike's Auto Care Center, where I was treated like a friend. I paid double the price of the muffler I could have ordered online, but the time I saved and the friendly/caring atmosphere I was provided with helped me get over it. And instead of intimidating me into buying more repairs like 90% of repair shops do, Mike specifically said he doesn't do that because he wants his clients to feel comfortable and welcome. He took me to see the repairs done before the car was lowered, and since my civic has almost 220,000 miles, he took additional time to point out a few things that may need attention in the future. Mike and Rosa, thank you for being a diamond in the ruff. I was going to give up on repair shops altogether in Orange County, but you and your crew set the standard for how business should be done. Don't ever stop. And to whoever is considering spending your hard earned money at this establishment, take it from me, I've been going to different repair shops in this area for the past 12 years of driving and this is now the only one I'll ever go to so long as they're door says "open" ...Thank you. read more

The tender love, care and time that Mike and crew put into both my Pilot and my husbands Patriot repairs was like no other you'd experience anywhere else. My Starter failed and began draining my battery while I was on Route 17 near Goshen last Friday night. I got off the exit and got about a mile before the van died. The next day I looked on Yelp and called Mike's. I asked if he had a tow truck, he said yes. Not true. It turns out he uses a nearby tow company. I was pretty sure it was the starter and I have changed a couple myself in the past. This one, in a 1999 Chevy Ventura is easy to get to and if I wasn't stuck on the side of the road I would have replaced it myself. He agreed that it was my starter and charged me $437.00 for the tow and to replace the starter. I asked him why it would cost so much and he told me the part would cost $199.00. I told him that I priced the part at AutoZone for $120.00 and that any decent mechanic should be able to swap out the starter in half an hour (it would have taken me about 45 minutes), and even at $100.00 an hour for labor, the cost should be more in the mid 200 dollar range (Not including the 60 bucks for the ! mile tow he got me). He had no answer. I had no choice but to have the work done since I live 40 minutes from Goshen and the tow would have cost me over a hundred bucks. He had the work done in less than an hour. When I paid him I said " I cant believe what you're charging me". Guess what his response was? He said "That's what I get in this area" . I told him "I can't believe you just said that". He said nothing. The one star is for doing the work correctly. So remember, if you live, or break down in Goshen and have Mike do your repairs, you will be paying much more than you normally would because Mike says "That's what I get in this area". read more

They were very hospitable and treated us like family. They worked very hard and were able to work with our budget and get us back on the road. Seriously incredible people with great customer service. Such a great mechanic! I am new to the area and searched Yelp to find someone reliable. Admittedly, I do not know much about cars, so I was very worried about getting ripped off. Mike had good reviews so I decided to check him out. He is not only knowledgeable about all things cars (he has had his business for over 24 years now), but he is also extremely warm and friendly and loves his job, which is evident by how he treats his customers like family. In fact, there was a fire about 18 years ago and Mike lost his business and had to rebuild. He still has cards written from customers and the community offering their condolences hanging up on the wall of the waiting area. I am from the city and I was blown away by the kindness displayed and this was definitely not what I expected from an auto shop. He and Rosa are so great and treat everyone like family. I had to drop my car off, and Mike arranged to have someone bring me back home and then he personally picked me up when the job was done. The way he runs his business is second to none. Was on a weekend trip upstate with my friend and our 3 boys to fish, hunt, and relax a little bit. On the way up Saturday morning my truck indicated the battery was no longer charging. We stopped at Goshen diner for breakfast and I asked the Manager if he knew a local mechanic whom can help us? He did not hesitate to call Mike's Auto and send me down the road promising he would take care of my problem and get us on our way. I was relieved to hear this, and pleasantly surprised to see a busy mechanic shop on saturday morning. I was kindly greated by Mike and his staff. Due to nature of our emergency(on a short weekend trip), he immediatley took my truck in, diagnosed the problem as a bad alternator and quoted me a price for repair. About an hour and a half later we were back on the road and the repair has held up ever since!
