I have been in Tampa for 30 years, and I came here from the East Pasco area. Having a business up…read morethere for decades, I knew all the people to go to for good service when I needed it, whether it was a doctor, a mechanic, a painter...I knew where to go. Until I retied, I had all my auto work done up there, so when I ended my commute, I knew I needed to find good, reliable people to do business with here. Checking the various websites out there, I came uI had some apparent problems with my Kia Sorento, and not being super sharp on engines these days with all the electronics involved, the check engine light came on and sometimes would go out. Other times, it would stay on for days. I did a bit of reading on the internet, and it did say that you could possibly have that occur because of the gas cap not being property tightened. The instructions in the manual tell you to screw the cap tight until it clicks once. Well, this cap quit clicking a long time ago, but the light being on would not happen all the time. I was surfing the internet one day and came across a diagnostic device called FIXD, only $19.95. so I bought one to see what is said. Once plugged in, I ran the app on my cell and it gave me two diagnostic codes, of which was red flagged with a warning to drive as little as possible until corrected. Very concerned, I took my car here this morning because of the reviews I read, and I can tell you with authority, I spent 30 years in the insurance business dealing with customers getting cars, home appliances, and electronics repaired. My insureds would depend on me to direct them where to go for repairs because it's a field ripe for dishonesty where people charge for unnecessary repairs and do so because the public doesn't know any better. But agents hear about what are the good apples as well as the suspected bad ones. Sometimes the bad ones are super obvious. I can say with authority, HONESTY IS SPOKEN here. They have a customer in me for life. It appears the owner is a hands-on guy and does or supervises the repairs himself. He got similar readings that I did, but his knowledge and experience told him that the readings were erroneous and were caused by the ill-fitting gas cap. What was next? He advised me to get a factory original gas cap to assure a correct fit, something that could be hit or miss with an after market cap. How much for sharing that knowledge with me? "No charge, sir. Just tell folks about me." I could not be more thankful that I'm not digging into my meager retirement savings to solve this, something I likely would have had happen going to another garage. If you need your car reliably, honestly repaired by a company with integrity, this is your destination. Thank you so much, Carrollwood Auto Repair!

Took no time to install and I was on my way and it was much cheaper than going to the dealership. Fast forward a few days and my cars displayed an alert that my blind side detector was not working and I needed to see the dealer. Reached back out to Butch and he came out to diagnosis. We both figured it was due to the after market mirror I told him to go with and not one directly from the dealer. We were right. He ordered a new one that would fix the issue and was back out to install within days. Even though I should've gone with the dealer mirror initially, it was still much cheaper. His prices, service, warranty and kindness are unmatched. Highly recommend!

Butch handled the diagnosis with precision and expertise, taking the time to thoroughly inspect the system instead of just guessing at the issue. Butch explained the problems in clear, simple terms, from worn components to tricky wiring that comes with age. What impressed me most was his respect for the originality of my vintage GM car. The A/C now runs ice-cold and the airflow feels just like it did when the car was new. It's rare to find technicians who understand the unique challenges of vintage GM HVAC systems, but Butch absolutely delivered. Honest, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft--if you own a classic GM, this is the man to trust

I'm honestly so grateful for the team at Ice Cold Air Discount Auto Repair. Walking into a repair…read moreshop can be nerve‑racking, but the moment I stepped inside, Lisa at the front desk made me feel completely at ease. She has this calm, reassuring way of talking to you--like she genuinely cares about what you're going through, not just what's wrong with your car. She kept me updated, explained everything with patience, and treated me with a level of kindness you don't see often anymore. Cas, the owner, is the kind of person who restores your faith in small businesses. You can feel his honesty and pride in the way he runs his shop. He treats people with respect, listens, and makes sure you understand exactly what's happening. It's rare to meet someone in this industry who leads with integrity the way he does. And Carlos, one of Cas's techs, is incredible at what he does. You can tell he takes real pride in his work. He went above and beyond on my car, and when I drove away, I felt this huge sense of relief--like I was finally in good hands. Knowing someone that skilled and dedicated worked on my vehicle gave me real peace of mind. This place isn't just about fixing cars. It's about people who care--people who treat you like a human being, not a transaction. I left feeling taken care of, respected, and honestly a little emotional because experiences like this are rare. Cas has built something special with Lisa and Carlos, and I'm thankful I found them. I won't take my car anywhere else.

Im overall happy with the ride and the work they did. I definitely recommend them!
