Ok my love story with Mike's gourmet deli. One day I'm on doordash looking to order a sandwich, came across Mike'snoy knowing where they were located. I ordered an American Hero. WELL THE BEST SANDWICH I HAVE EVER HAD. I continue ordering from them. Then finally realizing that they're in levittown and I live in Mineola. Feels like there's been a big drop off in the accuracy of orders in the past year or so. My husband & I used to love this deli but finally agreed that we won't be back after today. They've gotten our order wrong every single time we go for the past 5 or 6 times but we kept giving them more chances hoping they'd get it right. Today, my husband was given an attitude from the cashier after asking her for a new sandwich (after the one we received was made wrong). She actually pulled the paper she wrote the order on out of the garbage to make sure he wasn't lying. Please be careful with allergies! Although we don't have any allergies, it was very clear that they will not make you a new sandwich when they messed up. It was obvious that they just put the sandwich on new bread and freshened it up a bit. Hoping that they'll make the improvements needed! read more

So I had a very odd experince when i went in to get my pick up order. The lady who "helped" me was extremely rude and nasty, facing away from me for several mins after i walked in until she finally says while still facing away "are you ready now?" I am then met with a huge attitude, and negative energy. she didnt even hand me the food after i paid... i had to grab it from around the counter myself... she literally walked away before the payment went through... this was at a time when absolutely nobody else was in the deli, so it was not busy. on the way out i walked right past her and said "have a good day!" To which she completely ignored me? (Even though she clearly heard me) Like what the actual fuck is that? I come into your business to spend my hard earned cash, support you, and your family, and this is how your going to treat customers who are being friendly to ? Absolutely dont think i'll be returning here, even though i've been giving them my business for YEARS, and have obviously previously given them a great review. Theres too many other delis around to have to put up with this nasty shit. Absolutely unacceptable. Shame on them. read more

They do breakfast all day! Was in the area and stopped in on a whim. Got a Breakfast Burrito and a South of the Border one. Pretty solid breakfast burritos. I prefer the sandwich options at Fred's Deli more though. Staff was nice, but food did take a while, like others have mentioned. At least they have a TV. read more

I just found this place on door dash. Let me tell you the food is great quality, portions are what we used to get back in the day, they really go above and beyond when making the sandwiches. I places an order with 15 mins to spare on Dorr dash and my sandwiches came and I was shocked. My FIL had a pastrami sandwich he said that was like back in the old days, my cesar salad wrap had, CHICKEN, yes CHICKEN IN IT AND LOTS OF IT. Not a couple of pieces behind the lettuce and dressing, a lot of it. I was shocked. I was always a town bagel person but as their prices got higher their sandwiches got smaller. Not here. I want the thank you guys, for making an 87 year old veteran smile, not having to order extra meat to make him happy, the look on his face was priceless also how much we enjoyed the roast beef sandwich on garlic bread and the grilled chicken Cesar wrapped. I went there today to get swiss cheese and lettuce on a roll. I took two bites out of the sandwich I actually had to open the sandwich to see if they forgot to put the Swiss cheese on it. There was probably a slice and a half. The staff was very nice but the sandwich, was definitely not a sandwich. It was more of an hors d'oeuvre. read more

A small local deli that has a cozy vibe, good people making bomb sandwiches such as this Monte Cristo, and affordable for the size of the food. It's one of those places where they know what kind of cold cuts you get offer you a cup of coffee while you wait , and never forget your name. Mikes is the kind of delis that I remember as a kid, and many great memories came back up. And with this great place we can all make some new memories as well over great food! read more

I just moved away from the area but I can honestly tell you that this deli is amazing and I crave their sandwiches like crazy! Aida and her staff always take care of me like I am one of their own, personalising lunch orders and sandwiches for me. Her attention to detail is second to none. Unfortunately, I probably won't be coming to Mike's anymore. Just too many bad experiences. Two stars because most of the staff is very nice. But, I still just NEVER get what I order. Another order of overeasy eggs that are completely cooked through. It's just disappointing. I also started coming here because their prices & portions were great - but portions have gone down, prices have gone WAY up, and they no longer give you a coffee tea or juice with your sandwiches. We are now paying way more for quite a bit less. Just not worth it with so many other delis in the area that will cook eggs correctly. read more

Just finished my perfectly made turkey sandwich; made just the way I like it, with the perfect amount of meat, cheese and veggies. I'm very picky when it comes to deli's because my family owned one. Let me tell you something about this place, I've come back from some errands and coming to this shopping center before I've seen Mike's, but haven't had the pleasure until now. The bagels here are real, not huge fluffy pieces of uncooked dough like some other people rave about, these are super flavorful and crispy on the outside and prices are reasonable here and not a rip-off like some places that I won't go back to ie. Boars Head ham is $10 lb is reasonable compared to many places especially a bagel/deli and I've been quoted as high as $16 lb and would rather by a nice porterhouse than pay those prices, but this isn't the whole story from the second you walk in you are greeted with a smile and warmth as though you've been coming for years and waiting I've heard quite a few patrons addressed by name and they also write your requests down by name and follow them to a T, asked for 3 well done everything bagels and 3/4lb of BH ham sliced very thin(tastes better that way..tip of the day an everything bagel with cream cheese and a few slices of BH ham is super tasty, wash it down with a yoohoo) and got everything just the way I politely asked for a reasonable price and a smile to go Mike's isn't in my immediate neighborhood, but I will definitely go a little out of my way for this gem of a business done right and many can learn a thing or two about how to treat a customer that's been lacking in many businesses I've frequented of lateThank you read more

Too expensive. I keep giving this deli too many 2nd chances and finally won't anymore. Bologna on a small roll with nothing else on it shouldn't cost $8! It didn't even come with a small side of potato salad or macaroni salad like other deli's. Another visit I had the egg salad sandwich ($10.50) and there were to many pieces of the egg's shell in it. I felt the need to write a review after the 6th time I had issues with my order. This place is a complete mess, very disorganized and always making excuses about how the missed your order. Today was the last straw. I ordered by text as they always suggest. I get a confirmation and wait 20 mins before heading in. I wait in line and when I get helped, I tell the young red headed male I am picking up a text order, I give him my name and he goes and checks. He comes back from kitchen and says your order will be ready in a minute. Since I have had issues here in the past I look over towards the printer where their text orders come in and see an order there. I had a feeling it was mine but gave them the benefit of doubt. I then am in the store for about 20 minutes when the owner(female) asks if I'm waiting. I tell her yes my name again and she goes to look. She comes back and asks what I ordered and I point her to the printer and say I bet that's my order there and tell her the red head said it was almost ready though. They both look at the printer and he rips off the order and takes it to the back and she starts making my bagels. When the order is finally done she starts to apologize and states they are short staffed! There is 6 people working the counter. 3 people looked at the ticket and didn't do anything with it. Again this isn't the first time this has happened here. Every time she blames it on something other than their incompetence. I've worked on busier delis with less people and didn't have these issues. It's a shame as I have tried to give them a chance to fix their issues. My advice to them is to organize staff. Someone for online/text/ phone orders and have a separate line for that. Then counter staff who help walk ins. It would help greatly with their disorganized way of doing things now. read more
