I ordered DoorDash from this place for the first time because it's close to my new job . I got two sandwhich and one being an egg sandwhich , I opened it up and there it was just 3-5 LONG BLACK HAIRS . I was disgusted and took a picture and threw it out immediately . One tiny hair can happen but for this to be this much was just insane to me . Their response was that they can't do anything about it and that the guy who made it was bald? Clearly not considering look at this . Disgusting do not go here I'm actually in such awe as to how someone wrapped this up and gave it to a person to consume . Especially being your paying 26$ to DoorDash it . Such a joke read more

Here's what we've ordered: - bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything croissant 4/5 - sausage, egg and cheese on an egg bagel 5/5 - cookies (the guy gave us the wrong ones even though we pointed it out to him.... it was still good) 4/5 - iced coffee (self serve, milk is in the mini fridge) 3/5 What I've ordered through Doordash/UberEats: - Cubano 5/5 - Egg Salad 3/5 - Macaroni salad 3/5 - Pasta with spinach, feta, and tomatoes 4/5 - Chicken empanada 3/5 - Chicken bacon ranch 4/5 I started to order from Sabeli's during the pandemic through DoorDash and UberEats and haven't walked into the deli until the beginning of this week. I was surprised to see how small it is. The staff is friendly for 6AM and just opening (they were really nice). Their lunch sandwiches are amazing, huge portions, delicious. I found that their chicken bacon ranch is on the saltier side. If you're into salt, go for it! It's pretty good. The breakfast sandwiches were good as well. However, they ran out of the regular croissant so we ended up with an everything croissant. As for their egg salad, macaroni salad, and pasta salad.. They had a bit too much sauce (mayo) for me so I couldn't enjoy the flavors of everything else. If you love mayo, I recommend it. I prefer to taste the seasonings. Their cookies were delicious. The guy didn't give us what we wanted but it was 5AM. Don't judge us! I know you've wanted cookies in the morning before! I really enjoyed these cookies with my iced coffee. The reason why I give the iced coffee a 3 out of 5 rating is because it wasn't strong at all. I liked that it was a self serve station for the coffee. The milk and cream are in the mini fridge. If you don't like or want coffee, they have other beverage options as well. The deli was very clean and I'd be concerned if it wasn't at 6AM when they opened! They do not have indoor seating but come hungry, leave happy. read more

Best deli I've been to in quite some time. Presentation is way above par for delis in the area. All space is clean from the food behind the counter to the cutting boards. Their staff is courteous with your time and friendly on top of it. This is by far my favorite deli and I will be back. read more

I ordered two bagels with salmon, cream cheese and onions. One bagel with gluten free which they said would be smaller was tiny. As you can see by the picture there is no salmon or maybe tiny pieces of it, yet they charged $6.99 for it. I am from the city and you just can't do that, you should be embarrassed. If I was not in a rush I would have come back and complained for a full refund or at least to get the salmon I paid for. So I paid an extra $13.98 for salmon which should have been slices, not diced tiny pieces. It's a nice looking store, but won't be back if that's they way they do business. read more

I work in the area and saw a new deli opened up so gave the a try for lunch. My wife and I both created our own Lunch sandwiches. She went for a traditional Turkey Sandwich and I went for a Chicken Cutlet Hero. The portions were huge for the price ($12-13 each). I feel like they put in enough Turkey that would have been $7-8 at the supermarket. Overall the taste was good, only complaint was that the Cutlet did not have a lot of flavor on it, almost like it wasn't seasoned. However, I would try this place for lunch again. read more

I lost count on how many orders I've placed with Sabeli. The semolina bread is a huge W for me when I need a hero fix which usually ends up with me ordering the SAME THING EVERYTIME (Chicken Cutlet Supreme) absolutely phenomenal. Can't forget about the chicken noodle soup which is the cherry on top for me for a highly successful lunch. We were planning a birthday party for our little girl and decided that I wouldn't spend all day at the grill and would be able to spend some time with our guests. We also had used different caterers in the past and decided to try something new. With that comes the fear of trying a new establishment and having things get awry. I called Rob about lead times and he assured me that we had plenty of time and he only needed 3-4 days to prepare our order and would, for sure, provide delivery to a nearby state park. After having spoken to him on the phone, I already started to breathe easier and felt contented in the feeling that it would all go down without a hitch. Rob asked questions, made recommendations based on our party size, and also offered to make things that weren't on the menu. Then entire process was painless and a real joy. As promised, our food showed up at noon and everything was fantastic. The driver was courteous and friendly- and was also patient as I had to make more than one trip to the pavilion with a cart for all of the food we had ordered. What we ordered: Penne ala vodka- Incredibly well prepared. Hot and delicious Assorted wraps- roast beef, turkey, eggplant, veggie, and others Everyone loved them Chicken Fingers- I've never seen anything disappear so quickly. Kids Fav Bowtie pasta salad- fresh and chilled Potato salad- also fresh, chilled and delish Large cookie and brownie platter--- Whoa, just whoa! Another mass disappearance, lol Also provided were plates, napkins, mustard, cheese, forks and knives, napkins. Really, it was a one-stop call for having the entire day handed back to me to enjoy and transferred to a new trusted source to handle our get togethers. Thank you Rob and all of your team for making our daughter's birthday one that was a fantastic day. read more

So decided to give this place another shot since my first experience here was great unfortunately once again employee taking phone orders with mask around his chin. You are dealing with the public be consistent in following protocols, with that said food is decent now and it's a shame that my go to Deli spot by work went from #1 to not being on my list of places to go back it's just not worth taking a chance with this insane time we are living. Stopped into the store today to get lunch with the family. People on the counter were attentive and fast. By the time I walked to the front of store my sandwiches were ready and being bagged. We just finished eating and everyone was super impressed. My older son loved the chicken cutlet hero. My wife enjoyed the American hero which was so tremendous she had plenty for 2 more helpings. My Oven Gold Turkey sandwich was delicious and the plain bagel was fresh. My daughter enjoyed her wrap and sucked down her cup of fresh fruit. We will be going back real soon. Thanks! read more

Place is great! We work close by and have ordered delivery for lunch a hand full of times. Delivery is always prompt and polite. The food is awesome and there's many options, beyond just salads and sandwiches. We've had cold cuts, chicken salad, chicken sandwiches and even tacos. It's all delicious and so reasonably priced. First time ordering food from here it's absolutely amazing. We ordered a American Bacon egg cheese. Soo delicious! Then I had a wrap egg whites and spinach some tomatoes as well. It was amazing. I usually get the breakfast bagel but Trying to go healthier. We also got a muffin which was so fresh and hot still. As well as a everything bagel with veggi cream cheese. It all started when my father Robert Johns discovered his culinary passion while traveling the world with the US Navy. 50 years, five successful restaurants, bars, pizzerias, and delis . thousands of meals and countless happy customers later . Upon returning from Vietnam my father opened up poverty's Pub in Brooklyn nook and cranny in Franklin Square and the Anchorage on Main Street in Southampton New York. The jam was way too overpowering, the bread was overly toasted, and the side salad felt unfinished -- it was basically just arugula with a few pickled onions on top, which didn't really go well together. I've also tried their brownie and chocolate chip cookie, and both were a letdown. The brownie was dry and flavorless, and the cookie was just okay. It was made with milk chocolate, but I personally think it would've been much better with dark chocolate, maybe some flaky salt or browned butter for more depth of flavor. For a homemade cookie, I expected something that tasted more special and less like it came from a box mix. Because of the food, I probably won't go back, though I will say the décor is really nice and whimsical.
