I wish I could give 3.5 stars as this wasn't quite a 4 Star (above average) or a 3 Star (average) experience. What took it to a 4 Star was Mike. So the beer list on the board was a bit confusing and our 17 year old waiter couldn't help so we wound up chatting w Mike. He shared that the beer selection was not accurate as they'd just switched out kegs. He was super nice and helped us with some great choices.... Plush New Years brew and Angry Irish Wife. We ordered apps for dinner. Pub chips were good but not great. Wings were spicy and something I would order again. Quesadilla was crispy and hearty although no heat to it as I thought "chipotle chicken" would offer. We really wanted to find a new O'Fallon option and support a non-chain restaurant . Would probably go back for a cold beer in a comfortable setting but not necessarily for special eats. Again, Mike is great and we hope they have success in 2018. read more

I had a pretty good experience with this place last week. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. My table got the pretzel appetizer. They aren't joking when they say it is HUGE! The pretzel didn't disappoint. We all enjoyed our food. A few of us did get dessert, and we later learned it is from the cupcake place next door. I wouldn't recommend getting the dessert again due to the cost and overall taste of it. But, it was not a super busy restaurant on a Tuesday afternoon, which was nice! read more

Whoo hoo! We ate here on 6/26/2014 We were so happy to find a really cool place to eat and enjoy craft beers in OFallon. When we came in the place was empty. By the time we left it was packed! The feel of the Mike's is awesome. It is unique and comfortable-a great change from the typical establishments. I am a beer lover who truly relishes tasting anything out there. Mike's definitely had enough choices in that department. The menu is just as diverse. We loved all the options and settled on the Buffalo Blue Wrap and the Three Pigs. Both were worth returning for. The only thing I noticed was that they were a bit under staffed by the time we left. The poor bartender was handling it all very well but, his waitress was hopefully just struggling because she was new. Finding good employees is tough! I'm hoping they hang in there, find a great set of waiters and waitresses who know the food and appreciate the beers. Heck I'd work there! Kudos Mr. Bartender! We will be back. read more

I have given this place THREE try's....the first time they ran out of certain dishes...the second time our appetizer took 45 minutes...this time, tonight, I ordered a maple stout, I was given an Irish red. By the time our waitress came to check on our table (30 minutes later) the beer was almost gone...I wasn't drinking it, my SO was....we told her it wasn't right. Her response "It looks like it wasn't bad." I said "Well he's been drinking it." She responded with "Well the tap blew on the maple stout right after your pour that's why it's red." I said "ok" paid our tab minus the wrong beer and left. My SO only has bad experiences when he's there with me...maybe we just get the D list crew...‍. But 3 times?! I will NEVER go back. read more

Love this place! We have been here multiple times and have tried the majority of the menu. Everything has been delicious! Hands down favorite is the pork chop...best around. Great burgers, appetizers, and salads. Love that they have local O'Fallon Brewery beers on tap! Angry Irish Wife is my favorite! My only complaint in the drink category is that their wine selection is very lacking. We've always had great service, accommodating many different group sizes. It's not a huge place, so if you do have a big group, call ahead so they can prepare for you. Two thumbs up! This is a great place to go when your around town. We got burgers and had a couple beers. Reading the wall and understanding which beers are on tap and what's not was a little confusing, no big deal. They only had 1 bartender and 1 server on a Thursday night so service was a little slow but nothing to cry over. Food came out and the burgers were fantastic!! The relleno's were just ok but cost $17 for a small portion (Putting a small portion on a huge plate does not make the small portion any larger). The relleno's had a decent taste but they were watery when you cut into them. The sauce and fries were good. Our kids got a simple grilled cheese and it was probably the worst thing we had on the table. My wife got the Mike's Burger. It was by far the best dish we had. We've been here twice now. The first time my wife ordered the lamb burger they were out. I suggest the server let you know initially so we don't waste time deciding what we want then having them tell you they're out. Now wait. The 2nd time we went there we asked the server BEFORE ordering if they were out of the lamb burger. Her reply, "Umm, hold on . . . Yeah, we're out." She said that's one of 3 other very popular menu items and we usually run out once a week. I suggest ordering more stock so your establishment doesn't come up empty handed when a customer orders a "popular" item especially being the new kid on the block. So far the food is pretty good quality. The stuffed chile rillienos good but small serving. Grilled salmon sandwich is good. Buffalo chicken wrap needs a lot less salt then it will be much improved. Overall, I think the food is good but not great . . . yet. Verdict is still out and we need to visit some more and try more selections. Please adjust your stock so you don't tell your customers you're "86" a certain menu item. read more

Mikes was bought, and it is now changed pretty much 180 degrees from the direction under previous ownership*** After a long travel day back from our honeymoon, we were starving, and freezing cold because we were coming back from Hawaii. We were trying to think of what sounded good and filling and hearty. Nothing sounded better than the chicken and beer dumplings from Mike's. We quickly jumped in the car, arrived, was seated quickly, and had a wonderful warming meal. The wait staff was great as usual. Our Waittress even remembered that we were just returning from our honeymoon. This is one of my favorite places, and their Chicken and Beer Dumplings is my favorite dish. Everything I have ever tried there has been great though. It's tucked away down by Show Me's, so unless you are looking for it you won't find it. read more

I don't know what else to say except every food I have had here is a gift from God. We arrived about 8pm or so. It was very full but they were able to accommodate our party of 6 in less than 2 minutes, so that was quite pleasing. It began with a few appetizers (the pretzels and cheese sauce along with a cheese dip sourdough bread bowl with tortilla chips), and then moved to an burger topped with bourbon infused bacon, egg and cheese! Everyone had a bite of everyone else's food and each was better than the one before! Typical experiences at restaurants top at something good but other things were just ok, but this place impressed us all! Everyone was ecstatic over everything they tried! Even the cumin topped fries were delightfully delicious! We all have already planned to come back as soon as possible! This place may be new but their chef and top notch staff are seasoned pros that were not only very pleasant to chat with but very knowledgeable with every dish! We came in around 5 o'clock on a Friday, not very busy around 10 people inside. Me and two other friends wanted to sit outside and they said that would be fine. The waitresses were very nice to us, but we ordered the bruschetta for an app and that took close to 30 minutes to come out. The food took another 15 after that. The two burger that my friends got looked and from what they said tasted good, my jack steak sandwich was kinda small for the price but was also not too bad. I've been here a few times now but my last visit will truly be my last. The pours were short, I had to ask 3 or 4 times for a couple of olives in my vodka. I guess the bartender figures if you're not a beer drinker you just don't matter. Another couple we were with said they had been there before and actually sat at the bar and said he didn't care about anything and had no personality. I actually started the evening trying to order a single malt scotch. I had taken a quick peek at the bar and ordered something I saw sitting o the shelf. The server told me that the bartender said they were all out. BS...I saw it sitting there. I ordered a burger and it was literally raw. Sent it back and basically received the same thing again. My wife's salmon was so overcooked it was basically inedible. Overcooked and undercooked twice. What consistency! This place used to actually be pretty good. Obviously that has changed. I won't be back, screwed on the booze and the food and that's just inexcusable. read more

My wife and I came here for the first time in the fall and I had the black and blue burger. Not something one should eat often but it was as delicious as described. I found the beer selection much to my liking. Went back about three weeks and had the three pigs. Not so good. The pork tasted like it was past it's prime and the bacon wasn't even noticeable if you can imagine that. My husband got a coupon for Mike's in a birthday mailing that is sent to residents of O'Fallon. We had never been here before, and we really enjoy trying places that are new to us, so we decided to give it a try. Our experience couldn't have been any better. Our waitress, JoAnn (hope I'm spelling that right), was super attentive and friendly, and made us feel extremely welcome. She seemed to enjoy sharing information about the place and about the time and care that the owner takes in selecting the different beers that he serves. The beer selection was very good. We were frequent (almost weekly) when Mike's first opened. The food and drinks were outstanding, the service was excellent and the place was clean. About a year and a half - 2 years ago, we stopped frequenting the place because we noticed a dramatic change in the quality of food and the service. We decided to give them another try recently and the experience was really so bad that we will not return. Whatever/ whoever was making the place great is now gone. Unfortunately, the owner or manager's son was our waiter and, clearly he was new to serving, but got our order wrong at every turn and lacked any interest in waiting on us. The food was mediocre at best and they didn't even get our simple beer order right the first time. The place is not very clean- sticky floors, and overall just poor. He was very friendly and talked about his location and he recommended couple restaurants near his location that have awesome food. This will be our go to place for burgers and steak.
