Good roadside ice cream! On my way back to NH, I decided to stop at Mike's Ice Cream Stand for dessert (after having brunch in town) when I spotted Pumpkin Ice Cream on the sign! Fall is almost here! This roadside ice cream stand/baseball card shop is located near the Nashua Road/Lakeview Avenue intersection. There are racks of snacks and candy bars, plus Red Sox bat pens near the outside takeout windows of Mike's Ice Cream Stand. There's also a baseball card shop inside the building. This stand offers hard ice cream (4 sizes of cones/cups), yogurts, sundaes, banana boats, popsicles, frappes, shakes, Richie's Italian Ice, energy drinks, hot dogs, and nachos. A Chili Dog was $1.49 plus tax and the Nestle Crunch Sundae ($4.50 plus tax) came with a free Red Sox pennant (offers in 09/2009). I got a Kiddie Cup (2 scoops) of Pumpkin Ice Cream ($2.65 plus tax). I enjoyed my dessert at a picnic table out front. The Pumpkin Ice Cream was really good and refreshing on a warm sunny September afternoon. The ice cream was cold and creamy with a smooth texture and good pumpkin flavors, cleansing the aftertaste of brunch food. Visiting family in New Hampshire, a missed turn turned into quite a find. On the "scenic route" back to Hudson, we found this place in drakcut, mass. The service was very nice, but due to the pandemic, we could not scope out the place. The waffle cone contained oreo and coffee, which means i got my sweet and caffeine all in one sitting. Very cute spot. They have a store attached that sells tons of sports memorabilia and trading cards. Prices looked really good on those items! I think they are seasonal and close down the ice cream stand in mid-October. They had a nice list of ice cream with some flavors that I hadn't seen before. Absolutely loved the pumpkin Oreo flavor. I got a scoop of that and it was no lie the best pumpkin ice cream I've ever had. So yummy! Also, tried a scoop of the apple pie ice cream. Not as impressed with that one as it tasted a bit pasty and just not as delicious as the pumpkin. It was quiet when we stopped so plenty of parking and no line. I'd go again for sure. read more

Love this place!! My kids always ask to come here. Nice service, indoor and outdoor seating with lots of items to choose from. The fact that they take credit/debt card is a plus because most icecream stands do not and I hardly ever carry cash. Biggest bonus is the frosty paws icecream for dogs!!! This place has gone downhill in the past few years. Don't know where they are getting the ice cream from but it is awful!! They used to have great tasting ice cream. The owner is also very rude, and not friendly at all. Several times I tried to have a conversation with him, and he simply could not be bothered!! His son is very nice. Let me start by saying, the ice cream is really good. The hired staff is so polite, professional and friendly. Awesome seating area and great location. I have been here a few times. Today was different; i believe it was the owner who was serving today and I must say he was not friendly and did not look at me directly. I am not sure if he was so busy concentrating on getting the order right and I appreciate it but even at the end when collecting payment, not once we had eye contact. Ice cream taste is great but engagement with customers brings more customers. Let's hope it's better in the future. read more

Ice cream here is NOT homemade on premises, it is regional brand Giffords. Their slush is Richie's brand. Too bad, because it is a cute roadside stop off the beaten path. Simply the best value in terms of steamed hot dog specials. Their steamed dogs are soft, mild, and delicious! Can't help but get the 2 dog special which includes a small bag of chips and a 12 oz. soda all for under 4 bucks. Love the Frappes there too as well as an old standard Lime Rickey! I might have to minimize my stops at Mr. Mike's as it's not a healthful diet option.But with spring in full spring, and summer just around the hot dog corner......Well you know the rest. Mike the Owner is always there it seems and offers other food/ snack items such as nachos, chips, and candy.There is a large parking lot for customers, along with wooden picnic tables and wicker chairs for outdoor diners to enjoy. Mike's Ice Cream is one of my FAVORITE Ice Cream stands in Dracut! I have been going here since I was a child. Me and my father would go in everyday and grab an ice cream and do my homework inside. The only problem I have with this place is the fact that they do not have soft serve. Other than that, it is a great place. They have things from popsicles to nachos, and everything in between! I come here all the time! Best ice cream around. I've tried the neighboring ice cream stands such as Frosty boy, but Mike's Ice Cream is just so much better. Some things might be a little more expensive but it's worth it. They have the best frappes, 5.95 for a regular sized one, and it's worth every penny. I'm hooked on the chocolate peanut butter frappes. They have many flavors and a list of cool sundaes such as Reese's Sunday, Brownie Sundae, Captain Crunch, etc. I don't think I'll ever stop going here! and my son loves the ice pops. They have tons of them, like Spongebob, Batman, Sour Patch Kids, etc. There ice cream may not be homemade, but not everyone can afford that, plus there I've cream is beyond good! Their yogurts are from Richardson's which makes it even better. I love coming here! read more
