Visited Mike's Pizza & Pub last night and as always it was a pleasant experience. We were sat as soon as we arrived which was nice. Our server, Ella was very friendly and efficient keeping our drinks topped off and served our food quickly!! The food was very tasty in addition to the garlic knots which I have to definitely recommend ordering!!! The decor is pretty cool and they also have a good number of televisions on the walls with plenty of different games on!! Food has always been great and as usual, definitely looking forward to dining in again!!! read more

Not the Mike's Pizza from the past. No more fresh basil leaf, but dried flakes from a jar. Sauce used to have a tangy genuine garlic hint but it is now lacking. I paid for sausage, but now you get scraps/crumbles of puny sausage bits, nothing like a dime or nickel sized sausage chunks I have seen from other pizzarias. The crust used to be full of flavor, although it was never from 00 flour, but now it is more like a dry "cracker type" crust. Lacking flavor. What did they do with their crust recipe?? Still, a good overall pizza, at least, for an electric oven baked pizza. Please, dont continue to skimp on ingredients, Mike. Go back to the better days. read more

So after 3 years and receiving 2 really burnt pizzas here in a row, I thought I'd finally give them another try. This time I received a really good, unburnt NY-style pizza with tasty sauce and plenty of cheese and toppings. However, the crust edge was really large and a bit too "bready" for me. Still just 3 stars for me for two reasons... First, they REALLY need at least one parking space reserved for take-out orders. The parking situation is still a giant hassle. I had to circle the block waiting for a spot to open, just to pickup a pizza. Second, a simple 18-inch pepperoni pizza cost me $24 here! I can make a short trip to East Bay Drive and get a 20-inch pizza that is 1-star better for the same price. So thanks again Mike. Maybe I'll try again in another 3 years... read more

Had high hopes for Mike's Pub in Largo, but the experience was pretty underwhelming. The chicken parm was a big miss , the sauce had an off taste that really threw the whole dish off. The pizza was just okay, nothing special, and the Caesar side salad was literally just lettuce with dressing, no croutons, no cheese, nothing else. The overall vibe of the meal felt off. We were at IRB for vacation and ordered pizza from here twice because we couldn't believe how good it was. The pizza was cheesy and the sauce balanced it. All the reviews said the garlic knots were the best and they absolutely were! They were soft and pillowy and delicious. The cheese sticks were also delicious. They Do Everything Right I don't usually eat at sports bars, but Mike's gets good reviews and I was in the mood for wings and pizza. I'm glad I did. The place is clean and comfortable. Servers are pleasant and helpful. Prices are very fair. I tried the chicken wings and split the order between the honey barbecue and half garlic parmesan. Both were very good, but I liked the garlic parmesan better. I had a side Greek salad which was very large and really good. I also had the meat lover's pizza which was excellent--lots of flavor and nice crust. Obviously, I had to take about half of everything home. I will definitely return. read more

Very frustrated with this place. Took a special trip there during week to see the hours of business. The door has a sign that says open until 10:00pm on Sundays. We adjusted our schedules and arrived on Sunday at 8:50 for a well planned meal. We arrive and open the door and are greeted with "sorry guys, we are closed". This is unacceptable. We went elsewhere and found a very good substitute. However, if a business can not even keep their hours of service straight it makes me wonder what else they are skimping or missing. We had the garlic knots! They were absolutely delish. A lot of places serve garlic knots and they are dry or lack in garlic l, however these were soft and very flavorful. Highly recommend. We also got the 18" with sausage and mushrooms. It was really really good. I like that the sauce was not sweet, as I am not a fan of sweet sauce. You can see from the pics the cheese was cheesy!! The crust was crispy and not greasy. I like mine a little more "burnt" but that is a personal preference lol. For reference they are a full bar pizza restaurant. We have eaten her several times when visiting the area. The pizza is delicious and the thin crust is very tasty. We have also had the lasagna and spinach Stromboli, which have also been very good. We order to go and the service has always been exceptional. Very timely with having it ready when we arrive. read more

Do not eat here! They have a D rating with the health department! So gross. One of the biggest issues with them is bugs everywhere! Do your research LifeKitchen app will tell you about all their violations. I don't think the owner even knows what is going on at this place or just doesn't care.. one of the bartenders is TERRIBLE. Some of the worst service we have ever had anywhere. She could care less about the customers and is actually excited when they constantly leave because they can't get service forever even if the place has only couple people in it... and if you do it's service with an attitude that you're inconveniencing her. food was excellent and at a fair price as always ... service was terrible ... we went in at 9pm saturday 8/8 (they closed at 10) ... we ordered 2 pasta dishes with salad / soup .. as always was excellent .. i ordered a diet coke .. drank the soft drink with my soup... had to ask for a refill... so the food came .. someone else delivered it since our server iris was more interested in getting her cleaning done than serving us ... she he has a broom and dust pan on a stick banging the dust pan as we tried to eat 10-0 feet away ... she continued to seep the entire restaurant .. again my glass was empty .. so my wife took my glass and asked her to fill it .. which she did ...came right back and went right back to her sweeping and banging the dust pan on the pole ... we were going to each order one of mikes famous brownies but we didnt want to wait till she finished her cleaning to order it ...when we finished eating my wife again got up .. went to her and asked for a check ... obviously she was in a hurrry to get out to a saturday night date .. we always used ot ask for mike as a serer but he went off to be a stock broker .. then alway went to keith ... but saturday night we had iris .... if we go back and shes the server i will simply tell her i think we will sit in a different section and it would be best for both of us ... thats unusual for mikes .. always been good food ... good service and wonderful brownies that we eat there and get a couple to go home ...mmmmm we have added a photo of iris banging the broom and pan 5 feet from our table ... read more

Came here for a birthday gathering in the Taphouse. It was spacious for the party, which was about 50 people. Service was great. I ordered the 1/2 lb of garlic parmesan boneless wings. Excellent service; our waitress was prompt, attentive and friendly. After reading some of the other reviews we had some hesitancy but all was great. All five of us (including kids) really liked our meals. The salad was large and fresh. The wings well cooked and flavorful . The blue cheese in particular was excellent. Let me preface this review by saying the food is great and Iris, the server we have had twice, was incredible. However, tonight my family of 4 came in to eat for the 3rd time in 2 weeks and we were told we could go to the tap house for a faster table. We went over there and that's where the experience went completely downhill. Granted, the server was busy, which we can appreciate since both my husband and i have been serving for a very long time, but he never once introduced himself or even said "hey I'm busy, but you'll get taken care of" he was very dry and zero customer service was given. He acted annoyed from the minute we sat down, never asked how our food was, or if we wanted another drink (which we would have had), and brought us our box and check twice like he was ready for us to go. The tap house emptied out and he had plenty of time to talk to the 3 people at the bar, but again, never came to check on us. It's unfortunate because we might not come back again before we leave and our experience with a grumpy server is what we remember most. read more

About two years ago I was visiting my folks in Indian Shores and I asked that we have burgers for dinner. To my surprise the took me to Mike's Pizza. (Burgers at a pizza place?) To my amazement it was a GREAT burger, and the fries were super yum. Fast forward to now, I wanted a great burger so I went back to Mike's. What happened??? The amazing burger is no more? I got my burger and it was not enjoyable. The cheesy, juicy burger of my dreams is now a frozen patty the likes of which I truly despise. The fries were the same and still yummy. Still, I'm very disappointed about that burger. I took home a pizza to eat for dinner that night and that was very good. Service was fine and I think that the prices are fair. I would return to Mike's. I hope someone will let me know when the go back to the old burger recipe. read more

I went to the tap house to watch the second NFL game that day. Not a big crowd that day. Great service, pretty good food (garlic knots are the best), a great selection of craft beers on tap and in cans and bottles. They don't make any, so they are not pushing a specific brand which makes for a more enjoyable experience. Pretty nice place for for a game, except the TV's are not as big as many sports bars, but then, they are a tap house, not a sports bar.
