First time dining at Pizza Shack Italian Grille and it was a very nice experience!! I found they have been in business since 1982!! Our server, Becka, was excellent!! Very friendly, she kept our drinks filled the entire time & brought food out quickly!! Pizza was very flavorful and cooked perfectly!! We had the Limoncello cake for dessert and it was delicious!! The interior of the restaurant is quaint with a rustic look which is cool!! The bar area also looks interesting with the layout. They have an expansive menu with many selections for everyone. Took my wife and kids here for dinner tonight. The sign inside says wait for hostess to be seated. 2 people behind the bar, and another walking around the dining area. I could see through the window on the kitchen door there's plenty of people walking back and forth. No one acknowledged us. We waited 5 minutes next to the sign to be seated. All they had to do was say something to the effect of "welcome," or "we'll seat you soon." If service to be acknowledged is this terrible, I can't imagine service once the food is ordered. I was just there today, I saw the reviews online and wanted to see if it was a bad as Google said I order a uptown and chicken parm. The pizza was OK the crust was good but pizza over cooked and the toppings were burned. The chicken parm however was the worst thing ive ever tried to eat everything about it was wrong the chicken tasted pre-made the bread was hard. Thursday night ordered at 1712, 20 min until it was ready for pickup. Drove up 21 min later and it was brought out to my car! The drive-up service is first class and a great way to enjoy Pizza Shacks food safely at home. By the way, Pizza Shack has been consistent through the 2020 (pandemic) year and I salute them for that! Quantity and most importantly Quality has remained High each time we've eaten here. We ordered a 16" white pizza with our one topping of choice being mushrooms as well as 2 calzones: one with spinach (which is fresh spinach by the way!) and the other with mushrooms. We asked for garlic salt on top of the calzones as a personal preference- highly recommend it! The pizza was phenomenal- my 3 year olds love it! Kid friendly for sure! First visit on first day re-opened for dine-in. Menus are under glass on the tables which is a great idea. The server was curt and rushed us to order. Gave a lecture on the pandemic and then totally messed the checks (2 tables inside). A couple came and waited to be seated for at least five minutes and finally walked out. Overheard the waitress say, well I didn't see them. My burger was not the temperature I ordered and the wings were dry. The pizza we ordered to go was delicious (that's the two stars) Based on friends that frequent here, we will give them a second chance (not if the same waitress is there). Since it is an Italian restaurant, I should have ordered Italian. Based on the pizza, that's what I'll do next time. And hopefully be able to give them a great review. read more

This review is based on just my first take-out pizza visit. Being new to the area, and since this joint has been around since 1982, I thought I'd give them a try. Plus, with the Italian flag lights out front, it's tough to ignore. They do not serve traditional NY thin style pizza, nor do they claim to. For me, their pizza was good but not great. The sauce had no punch or depth, and the crust was thicker and way more "bread-like" than I prefer. It had an excellent amount of cheese! My fellow diner enjoyed their pizza very much, likely 5 stars from her? Mega greasy though, enough so that it eventually soaked through the box and made my stove top oily and a mess to cleanup. Sadly this business needs a revamped. I came here with my daughter craving pizza. Upon arriving the place had a strong bleach smell. We waited a long time for our pizza order and it was Togo. When we ate the pizza, it started burning the back of my throat. My daughter said the piece she ate hurt her stomach. My family and I went here for lunch this afternoon. It was amazing! My son ordered the wings and they were HUGE! Most places give you tiny wings with hardly anything to them. The pizza was amazing, so was the fettuccine Alfredo. The waitress was super nice as well. We are from Ohio, but the next time we visit, we will definitely stop by! Yelp's Big Night In part 2 is my excuse to go WILD. I read a review about the wings from Pizza Shack a couple weeks ago and haven't stopped thinking about it since. So tonight is the night. Flying into my Big Night In with an order of 30 (that's right, 30) buffalo wings. Flats and drums, but if I am being honest I only eat the flats. Hope that doesn't disappoint. You know what doesn't disappoint? THESE WINGS. We are soarin', flyin', there's not a wing in this box that I won't eat (a lie, because as I mentioned, I don't do drums). The wings are pretty meaty. I like the flavor, though I think the heat could be stepped up just a bit. They're crispy and wonderfully messy. A totally solid wing. If you're waiting to hear about the pizza keep holding your breath because I didn't get pizza. Not from here, not tonight. read more

Nice cozy Italian restaurant. Cool lights on the outside shaped like an Italian flag is easy to spot at nighttime. Stopped in on a Saturday night to a full dining room and had to sit on the patio. No worries about that the weather was beautiful. Smoking is allowed on the patio which is a big turnoff while eating. Especially when employees come out and smoke there on there break. Food is reasonably priced. We started with a salad, French onion soup, and some complimentary bread sticks and marinara. Soup was over the top salty and not good. Salad and bread were above average. For entrees we chose blackened chicken with fettuccine alfredo, chicken marsala, and manicotti. Chicken marsala was awful. Every one in the party took one bite and agreed. Being a special I would never run it again cause the chef obviously has no clue how to make it. Blackened chicken dish was below average. Chicken was ok but Alfredo sucked, sauce being pasty and bland. Manicotti was the best dish and can't knock it at all. Service was good our waitress being very efficient. I went here with a friend, and we ordered a mushroom sausage pizza and a few ginger ales. 5 minutes later the pizza comes out...very fast. So, I take a slice onto my plate and had to let it cool a bit because the toppings were like flowing lava. The crust was chewy, which is a surprise, because a pizza coming out that fast must have been a high heat pizza bake, right? Well, I think I figured it out. The slice cooled down very fast, and the rest of the pie was just warm. My suspicion is that they have partially pre-baked crusts and they add the toppings and cook it until the cheese is melted and call it done. I also found the sauce to be acidic, which I paid for later. On the bright side, the mushrooms were not canned. The place seriously needs updating as well. There were slices left and I declined, so my friend had to take them home. read more
