I'm new to the area and having no knowledge on snow tires it was something I really needed guidance on. Mitzi is a great resource to this business. She answered all my questions and was very patient and knowledgeable about everything. I'm very skeptical when it comes to auto places because I always feel like if you're not versed in mechanics someone will find a way to make you spend more than you need to spend. This was not the case at all. I'm pretty sure I'm spending a little bit more than some discounted places but the service is well worth the cost. Mitzi set me up with the best tires she thought I would benefit the most from and gave me a fair price. She set me up with an appointment the same week and also was very pleasant and professional to meet. When I came in for my appointment, she made me feel like I was her best customer and got it going right away. She gave me an estimated time of 1 hour and let me know I can wait at the shop or come back. She would text me as soon as the work was done if I wasn't around. It took less than an hour and I was even able to enjoy a nice breakfast sandwich at Josie's while I waited. The pleasant surprise was that they offer a 3% discount for anyone that pays with cash or a check. Which is great because it helps them with credit transactions fees and they give their customers the opportunity to pay with a better option. What a great business and service. Was on a long road trip from California to Montana Idaho Washington and eventually Oregon Roughly 3500 miles when it's all said and done At the tail end making my way into Oregon I decided to offroad my 4Runner and ran into a serious issue Wheel bearing / front axle failure. My abs light went on, car started braking and pulling to the left by itself and was able to limp it into Mike's Mitsy and Tye was able to speak to me and being a car guy I told them what I felt had failed. This place is WAYYYY overpriced! Once I got a rear tail light repaired by them and it was about $300-$400. The other side went out and they quoted me $1200!! FOR A TAIL LIGHT! I bought the part online (the OEM part) for $40!!!, replaced it myself in 2 mins after watching a You Tube video!! Soo simple! Another time I took my car there to get my summer tires put on. Ty said I needed a whole new set and gave me a quote and refused to put my summer tires on. I had just bought summer tires for that car 2 years prior! no way did I need new ones. Another place said my tires were just fine and put them on for me. After that appt at Mike's, my car seemed REALLY loud driving.. not like when I took it there. Not sure what THEY did to it and they denied even touching it although they did lose a wheel cap when they were supposed to change my tires. Again they denied even taking the tires off. Tried to make me pay an absurd amount for one wheel cap. I also worked for a local company in Sunriver who took their whole fleet there. Tens of thousands of dollars spent there every year and NEVER once did they get a discount. Gross integrity. My grama NEVER trusted mechanics. I see why now - Smart Lady! My family was driving up to Sunriver to visit the in laws during the July 4th holiday. On our way up (and during a 113 degree day in California) our air compressor seized and our AC stopped working. I called around and everyone was closed during the holiday, so I left a few messages and then followed up with Mike's the morning of July 5th. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, I told them when we were leaving town and they were super accommodating. They had my rookie diagnosis verified within a few hours of dropping off the vehicle and had the repair done same day! They kept me informed off the progress the whole way. They quoted a price that was right around the average price for this type of repair and considering the same-day turn around I'd say was extremely fair. We're so thankful to have found this company! I had a minor problem with my middle console in my car, the latch was stuck and I just needed a little tool to get it open. I stopped in at Mike's where the owner, Ty, came out with a tool and helped me get my console open. It didn't take very long but he took the time to look at my situation and help me out and didn't charge me a penny. A few weeks back I went to have my snow tires removed and my summer tires installed on my Corolla. I asked the man at the front desk what the suggested mileage would be before I should replace my summer tires. His response was "well the technicians didn't do a write up, so they must've thought they were okay". I thought that was weird seeing as they didn't pass the quarter test when I checked myself earlier in the day. I went back today for a full inspection, here's what the tech said. "These tires need to be replaced as soon as you can. If you run over a small piece of glass you run the risk of a blow out"...which, by the way, completely contradicted the paperwork that stated the tread was fine. A few months back I took my Murano in to have the belts inspected because I felt like there was a weird noise coming from under the hood, and I was getting ready to go on a 1000 mile round-trip road trip to California. They noticed nothing wrong with the belts. Half way to California we started to hear that same noise under the hood and took it to the nearest mechanic we could find. Alternator and power steering belts needed to be replaced. These technicians need to pay better attention to detail. Both of these incidents could've potentially left me stranded. I would take these other (more positive) reviews with a grain of salt, and I definitely would not say they go the extra mile. I live in Sunriver, and, for my well being, I think I will take my vehicles elsewhere for future inspections and repairs (cough cough, Daves Auto). read more

My light on the dash kept coming on saying I had low air on one of my tires. If I was home, I could fix this problem myself. They had my SUV in and out of the garage in less then 15 minutes and only charged me $25 to repair the tire. Very fast service and honest company. It's that time of year to get our winter tires put on. I called Mike's Tire & Auto Center on a Monday to get an appointment. They gave me Thursday at 9:30AM. I showed up at 9:30 AM and was courteously greeted by Tye, the owner. He promised me he'd get right on it. Twenty-five (25) minutes later he told me that my car was ready to go. Oh, and the price? $30 less than America's Tires in Bend. Mike's has earned a new customer and when I go back to do the changeover in the spring I'll be buying 4 new summer tires from them.
