They were able to replace my starter, but I was absolutely shocked at the price. The starter costs about $250. They billed me for the $250 starter, and over $800 for "diagnostics and labor." I was shocked to get a bill for over $1100 to replace a starter. No one there mentioned anything about such an exorbitant price coming my way. My truck is stock. There is nothing difficult about my starter. It is easily accessible, has a heat shield, and two bolts to swap the starter. Overall, they are super friendly, polite, communicative, but I would not return because they charge like a wounded rhino. They knew I was in a bind and at their mercy, so just be aware.

We brought her car in shortly afterwards with the expectation of it getting at least diagnosed for free, because it stopped working after taking it to them. They started by saying they would check and probably replace the seat elements first and go from there. We took the car home without that done and I finally got around to checking the fuses, and the heated seat fuse was just missing. Threw a fuse in there and it works fine. They are lucky we aren't pressing charges for fraud, as they intentionally removed a fuse then stated they'd start on the most expensive item. Won't be returning.

Work was completed in a timely fashion and my rig which had 230k miles on it at the time was back up and running. Fast forward to spring break 2017. I'm on a trip in Santa Cruz with the family and my transmission locks itself in second gear. The 2 or 3-year warranty (24000 miles) was 800 miles past its warranty period from the work completed last May and thus I could not receive service from within the warranty network. Good things for friends with trailers who don't mind giving up 2 days of their life for a quick turn and burn down to Santa Cruz out of Central Oregon. Brought the truck back into TransFix who acknowledged that something like this should never have happened. They opened up the tranny and found a compression spring had somehow tweaked and took me down for the count. Darwin, Keith, and Mike stood behind their work and made it right, getting me back on the road. Can't say enough about local businesses who stand behind their work and make it right with their customers. If I could give more than 5-Stars, I certainly would. Great job guys!!!

She ended up having to pay another shop to do the work Evolution had claimed to do but actually didn't even open up the transfer case (confirmed by the next shop manager hat actually DID rebuild it) and the work was done on the trans was faulty. Evolution (or Transfix ) the old name, has been given many chances to fix this but refused. DO NOT GO HERE I wish i could rate lower that one star. You guys should be ashamed. Ripping off the elderly. I do hope carma find you sooner than later.

I regret not reading these reviews before taking my car in for a 30,000 mile check-up. The 30k mile…read morecheck-up service was going to be $800 which I was okay with. They called me to tell me that the car has two different areas in the engine that show signs that it is "seeping" and "may leak soon." It would be nearly $7k to fix these two "seeps." The car hardly has any miles and I've never had any trouble with this car. I had been looking at trading in this Toyota at Kendall for a new one, but forget that. I don't want to be tied to this service department. I know that they can't control what's wrong with a car, but $7k to fix two "seeps" is ludicrous. Update: The sales manager (Jason) called me and we talked about my concerns regarding their findings. He assured me that their technicians are ethical and well-trained. The "seeps" were found by their computer and that they always want to give you all of the info. "What you do with the info is up to you." As a result of his call (even though he's not on the service team), I bumped my review from one star to five stars. Admittedly I was frustrated yesterday and it's not their fault that my car has issues. It's just so stinking expensive to have auto mechanics look at your cars these days. My service manager Timothy was nice enough and they are efficient with the check-in and check-out process.

It appears that 3 are items that must be on a Kendall recommended service (ie: Dealer Money Maker) that is above and beyond the Toyota Maintenance Intervals. It appears that all 3 were for items that likely were not even manually checked / observed at the time of service. As an example, the cabin air filter was listed as needed replacement, even though it was replaced by me recently, and after checking it again today, appears to be brand new. I've lost a LOT of respect for Kendall dealer maintenance, and their recommendations.
