However, one of this company tow driver walked into the bank didn't get in line and went to have a seat. while the guy was taking a little longer at the counter this tow driver started saying a bunch of stuff until the guy at the counter said something back to him and this tow driver went off on the guy calling him a bunch of names and bad words. When the guy finished his transaction walk by this tow driver he decided to get up and went face to face with the other guy calling him gay and other bunch of names. Told him to wait for him outside so he can run him over with his flat bed truck the other guy walked out of the bank and I guess decided it to wait for him. Not sure what happened outside but I heard the other guy was going to fight but some people told to avoid him. This driver was clearly looking for a fight he was integating since he walked inside the bank and wanted the other guy to hit him first so he can call the cops or something. The tow driver was the one who started the whole situation by telling to stop talking and hurry up and calling him a bunch of names and saying bad words while the other guy was just handling his own business at the counter with the cashier. Avoid hiring this company services as you don't know if this is the driver they will send to "help you". I cant believe they hire crazy people like this one. He looked like he was drunk or under the influence of something. He deserve to get punch in the face so he can learn to show some respect to other people.

We discovered what the issue was, but because it was starting again and still driving we decided to take a chance and headed back on the I-5 to Los Angeles this past Friday. About 2 hours into the trip, car went into Limp mode (we have 21 year old BMW that has made this trip before) and was electronically limited to driving 40 MPH which was dangerous on the I-5. Thankfully, we were right near a Shell station and stopped south of Los Banos. We called triple AAA and we were referred to Steitz Towing. The lady from Steitz towing who called was very nice on the phone. After about an hour wait, our driver Paul finally came. Knowing that you are about to drive 4 hours with some stranger in the cab is always undesirable, but not with Paul. We got a good vibe from him. He was super personable and easy to converse with right from the beginning. He made the ride comfortable for us. He secured our car professionally on the flat bed. Paul even stopped near the Grapevine for us to have a bathroom break and we got an inside perspective of what a truck stop looks like. We made it home in good time. He was an excellent driver and we hope that he got back in good time to be home with his family. Lesson learned: If you have AAA, make sure to have premium which will give you a 200 mile towing range especially on a long road trip. If you have an older car, consider renting a car. Have water with you on the I-5, because if you are not as lucky as we were to get stuck by a gas station it is HOT on the I-5. We had an unexpected towing expense added to our trip which sucks, but in looking at the positive, we got home safely, we learned a few things about long road trips, we were calm about it all, and we thank Paul from Steitz Towing to making our trip home with ease and safety.

I've never had a problem with any of their tow truck drivers, until this morning. "Rude Ted" from DD's Towing showed up with a terrible attitude and zero customer service. He didn't introduce himself, didn't ask what happened -- just pulled up recklessly and said, "Where are the keys?" He grunted and mumbled the entire time like he didn't know how to speak. As a woman alone on the side of the road, this was not only unprofessional -- it was unsettling. Thank God my friend showed up to wait with me. There was no way I was getting in that truck with this man. I would've rather walked five miles to a safe place than be alone with someone who made me feel that uncomfortable. When we got to my house, "Rude Ted" was ready to just drop my car on the street until my friend asked him to put it in the driveway. His rude reply? "Maybe." Then he backed it in recklessly and left it crooked in my driveway before taking off without a word. I've never experienced a driver like this. "Rude Ted" clearly doesn't belong in this line of work. If this is the type of service DD's Towing sends out, AAA needs to rethink who they partner with. No one should feel unsafe or disrespected when they're already in a vulnerable situation.

A vehicle I sold was never registered into the buyer's name, so mine was the last on file. They sent me paperwork telling me if I did not pick it up I was liable to pay thousands of dollars to cover their costs. I called the DMV and they told me since I notified them I sold the vehicle, I have no liability to pay for anything this towing company tried to scare me into paying. I was fully willing to pick said vehicle up for a reasonable price, but they were unwilling to negotiate. Upon request for picture proof that the vehicle was in decent condition, they said they would send pictures. However the pictures never came and the excuse was that they, "wouldn't go through." Come on, who doesn't know how to send pictures through text message. Do better Double D Towing. I respect the grind, but not the lies.

My vehicle was taken to their Watsonville/Royal Oaks yard, and dealing with both the office staff and the tow yard attendant was unnecessarily stressful and hostile. I paid $1,500 to retrieve my vehicle, yet once on site, the yard attendant refused to give me his name, acted aggressively, and attempted to prevent me from leaving with my car after it had already been fully paid for. He became confrontational, behaved in an intimidating manner, and even tried closing the gate while I was inside the yard. I felt genuinely unsafe during this interaction and simply wanted to back my car out while waiting for another tow, but I was still denied access. While dealing with this unprofessional behavior at the yard, I had to call their office again. I needed my car towed to a tire shop and literally had to call their office three times before anyone was finally dispatched. Each time I called, I was told it would "only take about 20 minutes," which was repeatedly not true. It wasn't until that third call, while the situation was actively escalating at the yard, that they finally seemed to take the situation seriously. Once we were finally on the road, the tow truck driver followed behind me. During the drive, I received a call from a random office staff member telling me that I should have paid for the tow before leaving the yard and that my car would not be delivered to the destination until payment was made. This was never communicated beforehand. I pulled over to the side of the road, spoke directly with the tow truck driver, and explained the call I had just received. I asked whether I should pay immediately or upon arrival. He confirmed that paying at the destination was fine and that this was customary. The conflicting information and unnecessary call added yet another layer of stress to an already chaotic experience. The entire interaction was recorded, and I will be sharing the footage with my large local social media following so others are aware of how customers are treated here. Accidents are stressful enough. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I strongly recommend avoiding Auto Care Towing if you have any other option.
