First off, the owner, Ed, is a true professional. He knows paint and you can rest assured that he will ensure the right materials are used for your project. Ed came out and gave us a quote. He came in just slightly under our lowest bid. But I didn't hire him because of the price. It was because I felt comfortable with his expertise. He was on time to his appointment, very responsive, and friendly. I knew that I wanted to work with him after our initial visit. After getting about 5 bids and meeting with various painting contractors, I decided to go with Mikrobiss. We retextured our entire house, added new baseboards, crown moulding, and door casings, as well as painted everything. It was estimated that our project would take 2-3 weeks. Ed's crew was led by Omar. Everyone was very friendly and took good care of our property throughout the process (un-mounting televisions, covering furniture, as well as protecting our brand new floors). 10 days later, the job was finished ahead of schedule. I strongly suggest to do a deep inspection of your space after the job is complete to ensure that everything is to your liking. Do this on your own time so you don't feel rushed. I walked through the entire house and blue taped anything that I felt needed to be touched up. I then had Ed come by so that I could show him the areas that needed to be fixed. I had to have them come back after the job was done to remove the paint off the HDMI video cables as they got some drips of paint on the connectors (I am hoping they still work). I wish they would have taken all the trash and fixed the minor door dings; but in all fairness, I did not ask them to patch the holes; but that would have been a great service if they had. They painted 2 of our homes. We were able to get both places squeezed in last minute & they even repainted 2 upstairs bathrooms when we figured out that we hated the color that was originally picked (totally on us!). We had a short timeline to move out of one house get the new house painted, carpeting replaced & move in then immediately needed to begin painting, flooring, etc in the house we moved out of in order to make the deadline for the new family moving in. Ultimately it all got done in time & that is what matters. They do color match paint. It was important for me to have the specific brand & color of paint because I previously swatched the "same color" from different brands and was able to tell the difference. When we were quoted I told him I wanted specific colors & brands used & was told that it wouldn't be an issue. I gave the brand, color name, & item number & saw the first day that they were all matched with Dunn Edwards paint instead of the Behr & Sherman Williams Paint I had asked for. I did swatches & was able to see a noticeable difference and offered to buy all the paint myself. I received a quick response telling me they'd fix the issue. They did & it was great. The cost overall was mid range. $2400 to paint 1000 sq ft townhome (walls & baseboards, excluding closets) & $3200 for 2,200 sq ft home (walls, +2 accent walls, & baseboards- excluding closets). If you pay with card there is a (3%) fee, which would've been nearly $200 extra for both of our houses. That wasn't told to us when we booked and isn't stated on the quote anywhere, they did waive the fee for both houses. The biggest reason for 4 stars, not 5, is that we have to do a fair amount of touch ups. Some walls are streaky and there are areas that were missed that we've noticed since moving into the house. I know there was a 2nd person painting our downstairs bathroom (where they didn't repaint over the color we wrongly chose) and there are missed areas & overall the color is fairly splotchy, looks like there wasn't enough paint applied. We will need to completely repaint that bathroom when we have time. read more

Another amazing experience with Ed at Mikrobiss! This review is long overdue, but I've been out of town. Ed repeated his impressive performance when he RE-painted my house a few months ago. Yes, I had him paint the back of my house a year ago and then had him re-paint the entire house a different color 9 months later! It was in the seller agreement when I bought it as the back walls were patchy. Ed and his crew were extremely professional and completed in a timely manner considering the 3 or 4 days of rain we had that week. The attention to detail made the finished job look amazing! Ed made countless trips to Sherwin Williams to make sure I got the color I wanted and to accommodate my additions. Again all concerns and questions were communicated clearly through text, which I loved. The house turned out so good that I decided to have him stain and seal my concrete. The original color was a not so attractive and hard to cover red color and I literally was going for anything else. Keep in mind, this is a lot of concrete from my front yard, both side yards and around the backyard so if it went bad my association would surely make me tear it out. After another 10 trips to Sherwin Williams and bringing his SW rep out to the house Ed found a cool blue/grey color that could cover the red. So far it's been very durable and looks a million times better. I would highly recommend Mikrobiss and Ed as I've now had 3 great experiences with them. Sorry for the delayed review Ed!! read more

Sept 30-Oct 1, 2019 HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Ed Cardenas with this company and his guys trashed my North Tustin home's solid walnut wood floors with overspray, and when I called it to his attention he accused me of making it up! He left my job only 40% done and after only working less than 10 hours, per my security cameras, wanted $2,000. When I told him he needed to get the paint off my walnut floors and finish the job he became irate, literally blazinggggggg mad. He wanted to argue every single little piece of the job and how it looked good when it was horrible or not even touched. I walked out mid argument because he was so irate i felt unsafe. This guy is out of control. I texted him immediately that he needs to fix the floors and finish the job and his reply was that he was going to file a lien! WOW. Wildly inappropriate, dishonest, manipulative, unprofessional, and greedy. When he files the lien I plan to sue him for fraud and damage to my floor. What a nightmare!
