In my years, I've done business with nearly a dozen dealerships. From the basic, no-frills financing, to this all-inclusive warranted financing, I've experienced it all. Toyota of El Cajon is, without question, the best I've ever experienced, even long after the contract ink has dried. There was an issue with a less-common extended coverage that didn't go as expected. Jose, my service advisor, did everything he could to get it resolved. When he hit a wall, Laura B. got involved. Laura is what some businesses refer to as "a fixer". She relayed what she was doing and who was involved. The list was not a short one. When things were ironed out, she was able to obtain results that kept the dealership and Toyota in good standing by acting in good faith and resolved the warranted coverage to my satisfaction. I will continue to support both Toyota and Toyota of El Cajon!

I brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change, something this dealership has performed many times over the years. After the service, I was informed that the oil drain plug had been stripped and that I now needed to replace the entire oil pan at a cost of approximately $740. Prior to this oil change, there were no leaks, no warning signs, and no issues with the oil pan or drain plug. The damage was discovered only after the dealership performed the service. It is difficult to understand how a routine maintenance item could suddenly become my financial responsibility when the problem arose during the oil change. What is most disappointing is not just the cost, but the lack of accountability. After being a loyal customer for a decade, I expected the dealership to stand behind its work and make a genuine effort to resolve the situation fairly. I received a call from Mr Anderson informing me that he would take care of labor and I would need to pay for parts. I informed Mr Anderson that I did not feel comfortable taking my vehicle back to them since they were not truthful for the beginning. I told him where I would be taking my vehicle and he told me to keep him posted of charges and that he would take care of labor. I gave him the verbal quote and he had no issues other than if the dealership would be charging me a diagnostic test. I told him no and if they did I would give him a call back. Vehicle was repaired and invoice sent to Mr Anderson. Two weeks later and he has not paid for the repair. Customer loyalty should matter. Unfortunately, this experience has caused me to lose confidence in a service department I trusted for many years. I hope the dealership reviews its service procedures and how it handles situations like this so other long-time customers are treated more fairly

I attempted to hire Twelve Volt Technologies to hardwire and install a dash cam for my Lexus…read more 12 Volt does not actually speak with potential customers, like myself...but arranges for a email communication thread. I attempted this....and found that system failing....unable to ask pointed questions. Ultimately, 12 Volt just did not return my emailed questions. I wanted to utilize their services....as they are highly rated. Had to move on...... Twelve Volt should reconsider their method of customer service and communication.

After failing to get a stripped bolt off myself to put the exhaust on at home, I brought it here at 3pm and Mario took a look at it, gave me a quote, and did it right there within an hour or so. He was friendly and asked me a couple of preference questions before he did anything which I appreciate. And the value was pretty good imo, I asked a different shop for a quote before and was quoted almost double what Mario did it for. Highly recommend this shop, thanks Mario

We have a older suburban that has been sitting idle for years. Occasionally we round start it and…read moredrive it down the street, but now we need to use it. The check engine light was on so we couldn't smog it. Took it up our mechanic in Santee and they found a problem with the catalytic converter. They said one side was bad and recommended Hanson's to get it fixed. I called Hanson's and was able to get an appointment for the next day. While the car was there they found another problem that was an inexpensive fix. They were able to install the cat and make the other fix the same day. Overall I am very impressed with the work, service, and advice/direction I received from Hanson's.
