Do not trust the Milagro gift cards. I have 2 that very specifically say "this card does not expire" printed on the back and when I called to schedule an appointment they told me the cards were "promotional" and so they do expire and I couldn't use them. False advertising, bad customer service. How would I have possibly known that? They said they would escalate the issue to management but I have not received a call back. I came here 5 years ago for my friend's wedding and it was great! Just came back for another wedding and it was an interesting experience. Front desk was great and so nice. Myself and 3 friends booked blowouts for a wedding. My friend and I went first and asked for light curls but were told there wasn't enough time. So we just got a basic blowout. Our next two friends went and were able to get curls. We were all charged the same amount. Definitely a little frustrating that two of us left without our hair done for the wedding. read more

A friend recommended this spa, specifically the Manasquan location. My sister and I went for facials, I had Maryann and she was fantastic. Very knowledgable on products and what was well suited for my skin type. All around the spa was very clean and gave very relaxing vibes. They had lockers where you put your belongings in and change into comfy robes. Followed by that you then sit in a room until your esthetician comes for you. I would not recommend working here if you have anything going on in your personal life. Upon being hired I shared that I lived with and cared for my grandmother who was suffering from liver and colon cancer. It was very aggressive and required aggressive treatment and she was too sick to make it to appointments driving herself and Uber is very expensive otherwise ... anyways. So I did call out a few times and explained how sick she was and that she was trying to go by herself to her own appointment at one point because I was afraid of being fired. Unfortunately she was too nauseous and chemo does do terrible things to your body / senses. I didn't feel comfortable with her missing her appointments so obviously I called out and went with her for chemo appointments whenever other family couldn't help out. Chemo appointments ran about 5-6 hours. Brick hospital doctors had to run tests to make sure she can receive treatment and then the actual chemo took hours. Fast forward 2 months and my grandma is on her death bed in the hospital, she was supposed to come home on hospice but her nurse said never mind she is doing really bad, not a good idea. My grandma called me freaking out (she was actively dying and scared/ lethargic at the hospital by herself) and I asked to leave work in a panic. Only person who consoled me was a receptionist I worked with. Everyone else gave me a stank face and seemed bothered by me leaving. I visited her that day I left work to find out she had COVID on top of the cancer and other issues like sepsis from a surgery and a blood clot from not moving for a month. I called work (Tuesday) and told them I had been in contact with Covid and was gonna go get a test. They agreed it would be good for me to do before coming in and getting others sick. So I did (Wednesday) and tested negative so I went in the following day (Thursday) and got a text two hours into my shift that she was t going to make it through to next week. I wasn't able to focus and I just wanted to be with my grandmother. I asked for a LOA* leave of absence to be with a sick family member and was told it was ok. Of course no one was happy but neither was I , I was about to loose my rock. The person who put me through school to be standing in the position I was. She died the next day at 3pm. I called the Job a week later and explained what had happened and that she was gone. They told me I was FIRED ! They filled my position with no plans of me returning. I also needed paperwork signed for the state and they are REFUSING. Now of course I understand this is a business but where is the compassion? Where is the "care" for employees? Now on top of mourning I can't get paperwork signed that I am entitled to and need for the state. They are acting so weird and at first I really didn't think they were like that. Not a company you want to work for in my opinion if you have a personal life / sickness in the family. read more

Depends on what person you get. We had a couples massage and my partner had a pleasant time. The masseuse I was paired with was very nice but tried to have too much small talk. The woman working on me found out we were just married/ no kids yet. Figured they were trying to make me feel comfortable. I had never had a massage so I have nothing to compare it to... when the masseuse leaned into my ear and said quietly that I was going to be a great mom really made it awkward for me. I won't speak up in person but it ticked me off. I have repro issues I'm certainly not going to bring it up and it seemed rude to me. I just wanted a relaxing experience. Yes I appreciate the sentiment but it was not the best time to mention something like that. It's an expensive place so it was not worth it (to me) to go again read more

I called Milagro to book an appt for a pedicure and manicure. I informed them that I have a medical necessity to not wear a mask. They refused to book me an appt. So I asked to speak w/ HR. They also refused to allow me to come in for a pedi/mani. I offered to give them my doctor's note and allowed them multiple opportunities to make an accommodation. They would not. They are in direct violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (https://adata.org/factsheet/ADA-overview) and will be hearing from my attorney as I am being wrongfully discriminated against. During the entire pandemic I have been accommodated at food stores, shopping malls, gyms and elsewhere. This establishment refuses to allow for an accommodation on behalf of my disability. My wife is a hard working Mom and had invited 3 clients, all working Moms to the spa for a 2 hour service and a well deserved break from reality. They were promised a private room for 30 minutes to unwind a one hour massage and then 30 minutes of a quick bite and drink to finish the day off. Upon arriving the staff rushed each into their respective room for a rushed massage and then put into a common area where men in their robes were walking through. Needless to say 4 hard working women were sold a nonexistent service and my wife was charged anyway. And the owners response ? Well that was a month ago and still not a single explanation. I would never normally pay this amount of money for a massage, but was given a gift certificate and was really looking forward to it! Thankfully, they were able to track down the gc information, because I didn't have it when I arrived. Robes are so soft and snuggly, had a spectacular massage and was feeling amazing, until I was leaving. I was informed that I had upgraded my massage to a deep tendon massage. Umm, no I didn't. No one told me that it would cost me more when I asked her to use a touch more pressure. Needless to say, they waved that "extra charge". My friend found a gift card for Milagro in an old purse, I was with her when we went upstairs from the gym to see if she could still use it. The card was for 50.00. The girls at the desk gave her a hard time and couldn't say anything, so my friend asked for a manager. The manager was off but about 3 days later she received a call from her. The card was flat out denied. There was no offer of a reduced amount because prices went up. Nothing like "well your 50.00 card is only worth 40.00 now. Nothing, zip. Hands down the absolute worst spa day experience I have ever had. I booked two swedish massages and two facials for my mother and I on her birthday. It was so incredibly disappointing from beginning to end. The esthetician was too timid to perform any extractions after I explained that was why I wanted a facial. She used no pressure and was very obviously inexperienced. Then I had my schelduled swedish massage which was also very bad. I honestly thought I was accidentally booked for a sports massage by the was she was rigorously rubbing. She did not use any familiar massage technique which made me wonder if she was even licensed. I hate to leave a bad review especially with businesses suffering from covid but this place is just ridiculous. I would feel bad not warning others. My husband and I received a gift card to receive massages here. Long story short , horribleee massages and insane prices. When I booked the massage , I asked for someone for my husband that gives deep tissue massages. He has a bad back and needs the pressure. My husband NEVER complains but the massage therapist used two fingers the entire time with minimal pressure. He said It was like someone was finger painting his back. Mine was equally horrible . I felt like the massage therapist was bored and was doing the bare minimum to get through the 50 mins. She spent 10 mins moving my head back and forth. This place is PRICEY and I would expect more from a massage that was half the price let along what they charge. Please do not waste your money. read more

Don't waste your money - I came here for flare eyelash extensions. They put a couple lashes on the corners of each eye and they looked bad after a couple days with the lashes turning in different directions. I was very delicate and careful with my skincare routine and used all oil free products so I wouldn't ruin them. This photo was after one week. They were $80!! It didn't help that the staff was condescending and not helpful when I expressed my concerns at the initial visit with the quality of the job done compared to the price they're charging. I can't attest to the other services offered, but this was not a pleasant experience and I actually left in tears because I'd felt I'd been so ripped off and they didn't care at all to work with me to remedy the situation. read more

I began my afternoon of bliss with a 50min massage which was middle of the road....leading me into my facial.... hmmm that is when they are suppose to extract all of the bad stuff from your face? Well I got a face massage from a technician that was afraid of doing her job despite a few friendly reminders to go after the little devils on my face. Then got my mani pedi .... it was sub par and no where near the level of quality I would expect from an establishment like this. The Milagro Spa in Manasquan is SOOOOO over rated. The people behind the desk are so rude and not helpful at all. (And don't worry, I drive a Mercedes too.) Came in today for a 1:00 massage. Was asked if I needed flip flops, I declined since I was wearing my own pair. I sat in the front chairs in the waiting area after looking at the chakies they sell bracelets etc. 1:10 came and still no one asked if I wanted a drink of their fancy water or anything. I went up to the desk and the lady responded with "Well why are you here and not in the back?" No one told me I needed to be "in the back", I've never had a massage here before. She the blamed "whoever checked me in" and began taking me "to the back". The new schedule was going to be 1:30-2:30 which didn't work for school day pick up schedule. - to start off.. it really kills me to leave a bad review, but id rather share the info than for other people to waste their money on pricey less than mediocre service... =( - my cousins husband wanted to treat his wife to a girls day out spa party for her birthday, so i actually chose this place because of location and the fact that they entertain large groups and offered hair design services in addition to spa services, which most places dont.. the original plan was nyc.. which may, in retrospect, have been a much better choice... - the best part of the experience was that the coordinator was great and very accommodating for booking all of our appointments... - 6 girls, total bill almost $1000 - the menu itself is very expensive.. for example, $75 for a brazilian wax is just ridiculous.. i opted for a hot stone massage, since it was a special occasion, hoping for something more special than a regular massage, especially after seeing a youtube video of how it is performed.. total $146, in which they tacked on a 20% tip.. lamest massage EVER!!! i mean.. i had one other massage that was horrible, but it was in a crappy town in Bali for $6, so for the extra $140, i had very high expectations.. it was nothing like the youtube video.. nowhere near it... she rubbed me. barely any pressure.. i figured she was warming up.. i kept waiting and waiting.. and waiting... for the massage to pick up... like.. literally rubbing me with hot rocks.. i thought about asking her to use more pressure, but honestly, she was an older woman, and i didnt think she would be capable of it at all.. id feel bad for making the older lady work.. she just kept rubbing hot rocks on me.. and spent alot of time fiddling with the damn rocks... sometimes i just laid there hearing the rocks clicking in her hands... halfway through, i just wanted it to be over and even considered ending it early just to spare the torture of a weak back rub.. i felt stupid for booking such an expensive massage.. afterwards she handed me her card. i thought it was a joke.. after laying there for an hour like a dummy, my back hurt more than before the massage started... prior to starting the massage, we had to fill out a questionnaire that asked us which spots to concentrate on.. i might as well have doodled all over the paper, because nothing was taking into consideration.. - my sister had booked the same massage.. she said it was lame, like mine.. no pressure, lots of time spent playing with rocks.. she also wanted it to be over lol... we both agreed that we shouldve booked a regular massage... horrible waste of money and a HUGE disappointment for the money spent... - and the haircut and style that my cousin got was not worth the $70.. m.. a $10 SuperCuts job would have done better... - my other cousin had a $90 body peel.. which consisted of her having some sort of super pricey magic serum on her.. thats it... Bottom Line: WAY overpriced, bad massages, dont even bother with the hair services. My husband I went for a couples massage. I was told that the "couple's" room had a $30 room fee. I was fine with this until I saw the room. It was basically two rooms that had a door in between. My husband and I each walked in through separate doors to get into each room. So basically we paid $30 for someone to open a dividing door between two rooms. So after much contemplating I have decided to write a negative review of the Milagro Spa. My fiance made an appointment for me here to have a gel manicure and pedicure on June 29 (Friday) so that I could have a relaxing day and so my nails would look good for my bridal shower the next day. I can honestly say that not only was this the most expensive gel manicure & pedicure that I've ever had, but it was also the worst. The gel was applied WAY too think and began lifting while I was at work on Monday (2 days later!). When I called to request they'd be redone or my money refunded, I was met with an incredulous attitude from the manager who insisted that "lotions can sometimes have that effect on your nails." ...Really? How about owning up that it was a poorly done manicure? She finally conceded to fixing my nails "just this once" as if this was a regular occurrence for me (it wasn't- this was my first time here) and like I was trying to pull a fast one on them. In the end, I decided to forgo the free, "just this once" fixing and went to my regular salon where I paid half the price, had a nice nail tech, and my gels lasted for 2 weeks like they were supposed to. I was sorely disappointed in the services I received here and would not go back. I will be telling others as well to steer clear of this salon unfortunately. read more

My cousin that works there got me a giftcard for my bday. So i finally came in today. I had no clue where I was suppose to go, so as I was walking in the lady at the desk downstairs helped my to go to the massage part. Once going upstairs the girls at the front desk were very helpful! Considering it was my first time, I was clueless about where everything was. They were so welcoming and patient as to showing me where everything was & preping me for the massage. My favorite day spa to relax and unwind. I love the sitting room and the huge fish tank. Something about sitting there, no electronic devices, no one needing me for anything...it's absolutely serene! My massage therapist is amazing. She knows all my tension spots and works her magic...in 80 minutes I am as good as new again! The add ons such as aromatherapy and reflexology are wonderful too.
