We really enjoyed our massages at the Spa, both had Swedish Massages. Micho did a great job on my massage, she listened to my concerns / requests prior to beginning and I left feeling calm and relaxed; exactly why we came on a week day! Place needs an update. Indoor pool and hot tub which is included should be redone. Was in for a spa day and nobody shows you around. Paid for a body wrap that was supposed to be 50 min which was 25 min. They were ten minutes late to get me and then finished early. Massage was decent. There are better options in the area. Tip was auto included so I am guessing others have not been too happy with service that they put this in place. With its location it could be so much more. read more

My husband surprised me with a Mommy and me massage, a facial and a pedicure. I'm 6months pregnant and everyone was nice to me. I didn't expect the food in the restaurant to be good bec it was hotel food but...everything was on point. They also have a nice view and good clean bathrooms. I will def be back. read more

I was disappointed in my Spa visit. I was surprised that throughout the Spa there isn't that calming smell of aromatherapy. That would have enhanced the experience significantly. I signed up for the Ocean Place Getaway which included a 50 minute Swedish massage, a 50 minute Facial and a "classic" manicure and pedicure; all for the bargain price of $330. Not such a bargain! On top of that they incorporate an 18% gratuity whether you were pleased or not. That's an additional $60. One should be able to give a gratuity based on the service they received. I usually give a 20% gratuity if the service is exceptional. Kay gave a very nice massage. Jo-Jo was excellent and the facial she gave was the best part of the experience. I upgraded the massage which added another $50 to the price. Manicure and Pedicure was very disappointing. What they mean by "classic" is very short and basic. For $93.00 you should get more for your money. For half the price I can go to my local salon and get an incredible manicure and pedicure with excellent exfoliation and massage along with a hot-stone leg massage. No kidding! The nail "technician" was a very nice young lady, but I was truly disappointed in the service. For what they charge, a free glass of bubbly should be thrown in! Bubbly prices were outrageously overpriced. Needless to say, I will not be returning to the Ocean Place Spa. The services are overpriced for what they provide. The absolute worst experience. They offer a discount rate during the week but when I checked in they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. Then the sauna was off, they forgot to turn it on. They also told me the jacuzzi wasn't working. No towels at the pool area. I can go on and on but the worst part was the manager at the end would not give me the discounted price and said I needed to mention it at the time of booking. I told her that I did. She basically said their was no way, it would be in the computer. Ummmm, customer service sucks! Pick your battles, the place was dead. Be happy someone was getting services. 0 customer service! I would give less if I could. They completely ruined my friend's aunt's hair. She paid $270 dollars and this is what they left her with. Uneven hair color. Orange yellow roots and platinum hair. She paid cash so we can't even demand a credit return, which I would because HOW do you let someone leave with this hair!!!!!!!! Horrible. She should get all of her money back. Insanity. Beautiful Spa! My friend and I came to the spa to celebrate her Birthday. It was a wonderful experience. Our facials were great and very relaxing and then we went to lunch at the Seaview Restaurant downstairs from the Soa. Do not go there. The service was very poor. (I don't want to dwell on that). The Overall Hotel looks rundown and under staffed. Upon arrival for our 2 prepaid massages, The Spa cancelled our appointments and offered 2 appts later that day. We had proof of purchase. The manager offered us a complimentary glass of wine which they never provided hut proceeded to tell staff we requested free drinks. They neglected to tell us the massage treatment was for 1/2 the time and only discovered when the massage ended after 25 minutes. they were not apologetic or accommodating at all. The services felt rushed. The Spa waiting room had no water for guests to drink, despite hydration being a vital part of massage therapy. the only positive thing is the view if the ocean. The manager and front staff were rude, unfriendly, unprofessional and just a mess. Overpriced, rushed, sloppy. Will never go back and will never recommend. read more

Have mixed reviews for this place had great soak and the relaxation room was great. Everyone was nice. But I got my nails done on a date the 2nd time. The spa manager of the spa rushed my tech so she could get her hair done. It was rude!! When I sat down the tech pulled away the table and pushed it in. As soon as she was done she jumps up and does the managers hair. Not that I mind pushing the table ( not on wheels and did not slide easily) but I just got my nails done and her tip is built in into the price. Where to start. I came here on New Year's Eve with my husband, and was so excited for a pampering spa day before the New Year. We chose Ocean Place Spa because of how beautiful the photos looked, along with the breadth of amenities they offer for a true "spa day" that some of the other local spas do not have, such as a sauna. Well, I was incredibly disappointed. For starters, at this price point, you expect a 5 star experience at the spa and nothing less. They messed up my reservation 3 times, so I feel as though they were scrambling to find someone to perform my services. If they didn't have the staff they should've cancelled our appointments 1) In the spa area there are beds, a beautiful view of the ocean, fountain, coffee/tea, etc. I guess they don't have sufficient seals on their windows and doors because they had plastic covering the doors and rolled up towels to block the draft. GHETTO. 2) The fountain was broken, so we had to listen to the sound of essentially a loud clogged toilet slowly draining for 4 hours while there. I asked FIVE different staff members politely to please shut it off. Other guests were laughing in disbelief that they were serious about having this fountain run knowing it was broken. No one ever came to shut it off after I was assured maintenance was on their way, and then they were surprised when I complained upon check out. Mind you the woman I checked out with was one who I asked the first time. 3) The sauna seats about 4 and is WAY too close for comfort. Its basically a 7x7 pathetic excuse of a public spa sauna. 4) My massage was the most amateur massage I have EVER had. It was not smooth or relaxing. The person was shuffling around the room, doing one massage technique on all areas of my body as if she were never a trained masseuse, and frankly I couldn't wait for it to be over because it was so awkward. She'd massage my neck, and then abruptly start scratching it 5) They made my husband take his treatment an hour early, so we were not able to eat lunch together, and therefore I had to sit in the spa area for an hour listening to the gurgling fountain - what an ideal way to spend my free time 6) My facialist must've downed 5 espresso's before my treatment because she was basically slapping product onto my face, then rubbing it upward pushing up my nose and closed eyelids, running out of the room, machines beeping, talking to me even when I said I preferred a quiet treatment without explanation of what the products were, so on and so forth. I legitimately thought someone was playing a joke on me. Upon checkout, the lady gave me a 20% discount on my massage and took record on a "Call back form" and said the manager would be calling me to discuss further accommodating my poor experience. It's been 9 days and no phone call. By the way, they take the liberty of building in the tip for you. Perhaps this is why their estheticians have no motivation to perform best of their ability So, not only do they have a rudimentary understanding of what one would expect for a relaxing spa day, they also don't follow through on their customer service commitments. I will patiently await the call I will most likely not get, but at the same time the tip was built in to our final bill so i'm sure they just collect the money and move on to disappointing the next guest in line. Do yourself a favor and go to Milagro or somewhere else local to the area. I cannot believe the poor experience I had here :( read more

I have been here before and the service and massage were fantastic. About a month ago I tried to book a group outing for about six people (mom/bride to be). They told me I needed to fill out a group contract & a spa manager would call me. I never received a call and a friend of mine (cohost) had to call. They explained that they only had 3 masseurs on the day requested but they said they should be able to get more. They never followed up and when we continued to call they said they would get back to us. We ended up booking with another spa. It's disappointing that this is how they would treat potential customers. I was also embarrassed as I recommended this place to my friends. read more

First of all, the services we booked were terrific. Our group booked a variety of massages+mani/pedis, and all of the actual spa services were awesome, awesome, awesome. The relaxation area is beautiful with a full view of the ocean and snacks and water. Everything was super clean, new, modern, and relaxing. Unfortunately, the climate of the staff outside of those delivering services was cold and inexperienced. Our appointments were booked on the wrong day, and several other organizational and booking mishaps occurred - I spent more time dealing with all the mistakes on behalf of our group, than I did actually getting a massage. And while we received a little discount for the trouble, I can't say anyone was overly accommodating or kind about it - in fact a couple staff bordered on rude when i asked NOT to pay for a service that we DID NOT BOOK that they delivered anyway. I'm not sure I'd go back because it all left a bad taste in my mouth - but if you triple confirm your appointments, you should be fine. read more

I had the deep tissue massage for 50 mins. It was horrible a lot of lotion A LOT and every now and then a hint of pressure. I was so annoyed. I get out and not only I'm paying 150 plus tips. You pay 150 plus tax plus their enforced 21% tips. 3% for workers and 18% for masseuse. A rip off. Never again!!! read more
