The staff was so welcoming and wonderful. I did not see any staff looking at a phone at all. I've been twice for close to 4 hours each time. The guards watched that pool like their lives depended on it. An adult male was struggling in the deep end at one point and the guards were both in the pool assisting him out before I even knew what was going on. Great job guys. Keep up the awesome work y'all are doing. I feel completely confident allowing my kids to swim here now. Fantastic experience from beginning to end. And it's very clean.

Today was my first visit. I had two mom friends there with a group of 4 total littles, 3 of them only 2ish. We mainly kept to ourselves in a corner by the splash pad. Social distancing, you know. So there was these damn cones. They separated chairs in another social distancing effort. Okay, I get it. But my 15 month old starts playing with the cone. I tell him no, he is redirected to the pool.. but he's a literal baby. At some point he picks up a cone and another two year old picks up a cone and they're moved around a bit, but as I'm redirecting kids the lifeguard comes down and wants to have an attitude about the kids and the cones. Well first off, I'm impressed you noticed anything since you've been staring at your phone the entire time and probably wouldn't catch anyone in distress in the water, but let's come have an attitude about a few babies and some cones. Yea, we get why they're there, but these kids are literal babies. If she wasn't enough, then a 2nd person working at the pool comes over yapping about the cones.. nobody else had touched a cone.. he wanted to explain the purpose of the cones.. WE FREAKING GET IT BUT OUR GROUP OF LITERAL BABIES DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE FIRST, SECOND, SOMETIMES THIRD TIME! You'd think the toddlers would be the ones having meltdowns, but nah, we've got a few full grown adults getting emotional over some kids acting like kids. Moving an orange cone a few feet. Hysteria. Such horrible little heathens we have. Anyway. The pool is nice. The guy who checked us in was friendly. The life guard played on her phone the whole time until she switched with one who halfway paid attention, so watch your kids.. and beware of any orange cones. Serious business, y'all.

Dirty pool…read more Lifeguards are too busy in their own personal stuff: flirting, talking, on their phones, to not care what's happening in the pool. This is not just a summer job, you're dealing with people's safety I have to stay out of the pool and do their job to watch for the safety of my children - but I wouldn't go in any way anymore, because there is too much unknown stuff floating around, it's disgusting. There is way too much rowdiness - groups of kids on top of each other, kids jumping in at all sides of the pool, that I'm scared that only one of them will get hurt - but especially my own children. There are too many pieces of food around the pool that attract bugs. Most of the plastic chairs are broken.

Here's why we don't recommend Sweetwater Pools... Inexperienced technicians - unable to answer the most basic maintenance questions. Disrespectful to property - the technicians would disassemble our pool skimmer, using the pole to mix their chemicals (that's fine!), but then not put it back together. We repeatedly asked them to put it back the way they found it to no avail. It felt lazy and disrespectful. Zero communication - really hard to get anyone to call you back to address concerns or questions. To sum it up, we never felt like Sweetwater Pools valued our business or ever tried to salvage it. You have been forewarned.

Not a very good experience with Sweetwater Pools, we needed our pool cleaned after it was opened…read morefrom another not so pool friendly company, we agreed on the contract, made the monthly payment, almost 2 weeks later a guy from there comes out to clean and get the pool ready for summer, he only vacuumed half the pool, and dropped 5 3" tabs in the strainer basket and then he left, his "supervisor" then came out couple hours later, said he would have everything done even if he had to come back out and vacuum again, well he left to after about an hour, sides of the pool were not cleaned, debris still on the bottom of the pool, empty chemical bottle left on the pool deck, left and never heard from him again, called Saturday, spoke with Management but since he is management North, he could do anything, Monday I called the office, told them everything that was and was not done, I was told that the pool techs report stated " the pool was cleaned, chemicals added, and the deck was cleaned up with a leaf blower" I think its pretty sad when employees tell stories to there employers to make themselves look good while making a PAYING customer look bad. Not one word of sincerity or offers to help get to the bottom of the situation, I told them to cancel my NEW account, and was told "ok, have a nice day". out XXX.xx for 5 chlorine tablets and some bottle of chemical!!

I can't even blame staff for not removing the gum because there are just far too many to keep up with. Gum is not like normal food scraps that can easily be picked up... In addition to all of the other off-putting things about this gym, the straw that finally broke the camels back was their bleak hours and rude staff. The Hours: Initially disguised as day light savings time these changes became permanent hours. Who closes their gym at 6pm on the weekends and 9pm on Fridays? The gym is usually packed at these times as of lately. People have varying work hours. A fellow member said that corporate says the hours are based on the number of sales/memberships they get within a day, so apparently sales are low - and for good reason - why would anyone want to work out here. The Staff: Not only that, at closing time the staff act as though they are working in a prison and are talking to a bunch of inmates with a nasty demanding tone reminding everyone of closure at each 15 minute mark for the last hour, and then at ever 5-minute mark for the last 15 minutes in a VERY unpleasant tone, as if they're a bunch of idiots. How annoying and rude to belittle your clientele in this way. I've had enough. The locker rooms are outdated and filthy. I'm an educated corporate person and working out here feels like a mix between high school, a prison yard and a refugee camp. The basketball court brings yet a whole other unwelcoming street element. Not my idea of a welcoming motivational place to workout and crush fitness goals with like minded people. After careful research, there are plenty of better gyms nearby that stay open later without all the riff raff. I can see LAF going out of business soon. This is a common thought among members. Fun neighborhood with long swim lanes pool. Their pool is big and beautiful. They also have small diving boards which is great to experience. Great place to take our kids in the summer. The Embry Hills Club is great place to meet your neighbors and have a good time. If you are not member, you are missing out on one the best reasons to live in Embry Hills. The Embry Hills Club was established in 1958 when the neighborhood was first being developed. They offer swimming, tennis, Sand Volleyball and a variety of social activities throughout the year. Opens May through Labor Day. But if the weather permits they have open plays for Sand Volleyball. Usually they have plays after dark around 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Cost for the open play for Volleyball are just $5. They also do the league matches which cost around $55 which is very reasonable compare to other places. The two courts are fully lighted and bright. Plenty of chaise lounges, poolside tables, two sun decks, and a clubhouse for parties. Youth swim team available for children ages 5 and up. The Embry Hills Club has a long connection with ALTA tennis. They have two lighted, recently resurfaced hard  courts. They offer ALTA women's and mixed doubles teams. Overall a nice sports club. Plenty of free parking available in front of the courts.

Absolutely love EHC. It is a little hard to see what's down in that valley from the street and the…read morebuilding is showing some age (they're working on that!), but the vibrant community center that you'll find when you enter and instantly make friends is second to none. Well, one part of it and that is the fact that you can control the giant mushroom water feature in the middle. The bathrooms were nice and not super gross. Overall, I am a fan.
