I was super bummed with the attached restaurant closed, but apparently a new food place opened up in its place. I took my rugrats here for the "Splish Splash" event and really enjoyed it.

This one is nestled in the east side of Piedmont park, accessible by a short walk through some lower traffic entrances. If there is space, park in the neighborhood bisected by Park Drive NE. You can walk through the gate, curve around the lake, and you're there. The pool overlooks the lake, a prime location indeed. Piedmont has a similar relationship to Atlanta that say Central park has to NYC. It's a large, grassy space that everyone loves, and you can see the city looming in the background. The entrance to the pool itself reflects demand; on our afternoon visit, we had to wait a bit for other visitors to leave - they have a hard cap on the crowd size. At 11:00 on a Saturday, they were charging non-members a sweet five bucks. Anyway, the pool is really, really nice. The layout is such that you can do adult things if you like (laps, whatever), or you can entertain your kids if you need to do that. The child friendly features are abundant, including a splashpad and a lazy river. Mine really dig all of that stuff. Shady areas are abundant and you can chill on a nearby grassy area with your blanket or whatever. There is no diving board (no deep end either), but what public pool has one of those anymore? Lockers are abundant and things are generally clean. What's not to like? Also, shout out to Sean's, a very capable snack bar.

Parking is by one of two garages if they open to visitors. Otherwise it's on surface a block away, not bad. For my event the garage was utilized and very convenient. Emory hosted the 2022 UAA Swim Conferences in February. Seven other schools were involved. Without hesitation Emory offers the best pool in the UAA. My son who swims for Washington University in Saint Louis was on the conference team. It was the first major event back since COVID struck. The spectator area is spacious and they never had an issue with ticketing which was more limited with mitigation. Mark were required. The negative was no back on the seats. The pool is a 50 meter with retractable bulkhead to run short course yard in college. They also offer diving with its own well. The deck is spacious. The building is probably 15 years old but kept up beautifully. It's connected to the recreation center. Washington University aka Washu came in third to Emory & Chicago. The Men and specifically Women's Emory squad is extremely strong year after year and has won multiple National Championships. The highlight of the meet was the Washu Men's 800 Free Relay winning their event setting a new school and conference record. It would be the only individual or relay the men would win the entire four day meet. My son Ryan swam the third leg. During my sons four years I Susie T to return two more years as the host rotates with University of Chicago. A facility to be proud of for Emory University.

This location has a pool, hot tub and sauna. My interactions with the staff have been very friendly and useful. Often they have machines that need to be maintained/repaired. In general they keep it clean too. It's packed around 5pm-8pm. But pretty enjoyable weekend mornings (8am-10am).

We are nursing students looking for a gym close to school where we can decompress after long classes and clinicals, and this experience completely turned us off. The employee assisting us looked like Cousin Skeeter and immediately had a nasty attitude from the start. During the interaction, he randomly brought up the fact that he owed Planet Fitness $600, which honestly explained a lot about the bitter energy he came into work with. He appeared ungroomed, disgruntled, and angry, and it was very obvious that whatever frustration he had going on personally had absolutely nothing to do with me. I politely explained that I was already familiar with the gym and that we did not need a full tour -- we simply wanted to see the membership rates so my friend could sign up. Instead of listening, he repeatedly insisted that we "had to finish the tour," which made absolutely no sense considering we were literally there ready to spend money. When I tried to explain again that we just wanted pricing information, he responded with, "Do you want the pass or not?" in an extremely rude and aggressive tone. That is not how you speak to paying members or potential customers. What made the situation even worse was the lack of professionalism afterward. When I asked for the employee's name, another staff member at the front refused to provide it and appeared to give me a fake name of Herbert instead. The entire interaction felt hostile, dismissive, and unprofessional. People come to the gym to relieve stress, not to be talked to with attitude and forced through a sales pitch they already said they didn't want. If someone is ready to sign up and spend money, maybe focus on customer service instead of acting irritated that customers are asking simple questions. I was honestly going to reach out to corporate, but I genuinely do not even have the mental capacity to keep dealing with someone who is clearly miserable and determined to spread that energy onto complete strangers. Nobody with a happy life walks into work treating people like that for no reason. Completely unacceptable experience.

We're kicking off the new year in search of a better pool service company than Sweetwater Pools…read more The subpar reviews on this app align with our disappointing experience. Here's why we don't recommend Sweetwater Pools... Inexperienced technicians - unable to answer the most basic maintenance questions. Disrespectful to property - the technicians would disassemble our pool skimmer, using the pole to mix their chemicals (that's fine!), but then not put it back together. We repeatedly asked them to put it back the way they found it to no avail. It felt lazy and disrespectful. Zero communication - really hard to get anyone to call you back to address concerns or questions. To sum it up, we never felt like Sweetwater Pools valued our business or ever tried to salvage it. You have been forewarned.

Not one word of sincerity or offers to help get to the bottom of the situation, I told them to cancel my NEW account, and was told "ok, have a nice day". out XXX.xx for 5 chlorine tablets and some bottle of chemical!!
