First time here. Ordered to go. Maddie in the takeout area is super friendly, efficient and had great recommendations! Inside the restaurant there is soft music playing, and lights hanging from the ceiling. They have a bar as well. It's not to loud so it isn't hard to hear in. They make tiramisu and lemon cello cheesecake in house Maddie let me know, so I definitely order it! I ordered the Mediterranean pizza and the eggplant rotini too! I'm Headed to my Moms, as she lives up here. Arrived at my mom's and we tried out our Italian meal. The eggplant rotini was delicious, as well at the pizza and cheesecake. We said we would order from here again! If you haven't tried it, go to a bite and enjoy!

For a real o.g. cloae to NYC pizza experience, I highly recommend the regular plain cheese pizza with tomato sauce at Milano's.

This is a very plain and cute Italian spot in Ocala. The ambience is superb. They had a gentleman playing the keyboard with nice dinner music and he was fabulous. We made a reservation and were initially seated at a small table where we felt cramped. The staff accommodated us by putting us in a booth, which I appreciate their responsiveness. The the food was simply delicious. We tried multiple pizzas and main dishes along with appetizers. The service was good, they were attentive and very friendly. I would recommend Milano if you are seeking a tasty dinner with a relaxed atmosphere and good service. It might be better to make reservations and when you do to ask for booth seating as the tables are small and not well acquainted for a party larger than two.

The decor here is a backdrop of various painting that could be considered going for the Italian look. There is a bar area, various rooms and private room dining. The sangria's were so delicious and huge I had two glasses. The pizza was huge, crispy soft delicious crust, great marinara flavor, lots of cheese and toppings. Staff were friendly and the spot seems to be a local favorite.

The food was great. We got the fried mozzarella sandwich for an appetizer and it was great! There was a pianist that set the mood and it was great. Our server was wonderful and had high energy.

The service was terrific. He was attentive and helpful. The restaurant is deceivably large and decorated very well. The food was delicious. We had pizzas and several dishes. Everyone left full and happy their choices. This is someplace we will definitely come back to!

Great pizza that has been consistent each time we've gotten pizza from here. The garlic knots are good and their antipasto is great. For Christmas I ordered a tray of sausage and peppers and chicken Parmesan so I didn't have to cook everything and my family was extremely happy. I wish that I had taken pictures throughout time. Here's today's pizza.

Milanos wasn't our first choice for a special Father's Day meal while visiting Ocala. This restaurant is in a strip mall and ended up being an excellent restaurant. Nicely decorated! We were sat promptly and greeted by multiple people. Our server was helpful with suggestions after we asked. Our food was fresh and delicious. The servings were large that I took a to go container home. We couldn't eat dessert but my husband brought home a cannoli. Thank cannoli he enjoyed later in the evening and said it was perfect. Our server was Anthony. What a great guy! He was so good and nice to us with top notch service that we made reservations and at again two nights later. We made reservations and requested Anthony. I didn't take pictures of our food the first time but I did when we went the second time. I highly recommend Milanos Italian Grille, you won't be disappointed!

The most recent high priority health violations. Many many more previously

DANGER! *FOOD POISONING* My wife and I came here on a Sunday evening as a nice treat. We are new to the area and were fooled by the 1.6k reviews that must of been from the previous owners We got Italian wedding soup and chicken penne alla vodka. Later that evening we had a bit of a stomach ache, but didn't think much of it. The next morning (Monday), we both had diarrhea and nausea which lasted all day. We figured we were in the clear, especially being young and Tuesday morning the symptoms are still present. This clearly means that there was some serious cross contamination or something in the food was bad. The temperature of the food came out scolding hot, which I found a bit suspicious, as if they had gotten a temperature violation. As of Tuesday morning, I checked the Ocala food health report and this placed is littered with High priority violations, such as storing raw animal/seafood above cooked food, temperature issues, etc. I wish I had read this report before coming here as I would have avoided it like the plague. The saddest part is that this restaurant is a repeat offender of the same things every inspection and yet nothing changes. The owner needs to be heavily fined or better yet, the place needs to be shut down. This is a public safety matter. Apart from the food, the service was quite bad considering it wasn't busy at all. A total of about 6 tables between 2 waiters and 1 waitress. The layout of the restaurant was extremely weird, not that it mattered much, but I can see it being a servers nightmare trying to keep track of tables. Lastly, the chairs. If a chair rocks corner to corner, not a little, but a lot, fix them. Nothing looked maintained, the decor was clearly original which again was fine, but it looked poorly maintained.

The place is very nice, tables are separate by Italian cities, which is very cool. Service was very good, staff were friendly. We ordered meatballs, they were juicy and tasty. I ordered the special plate, creamy pesto gnocchi, filled with ricota and come with shrimps, it was delicious! My husband had the pork ossobuco, I loves the meat, but the risotto was lacking flavor/salt. Overall, a great experience.

Wonderful experience! From the moment we were shown our table until we left, we were treated spectacularly. Our server was friendly, helpful, and best of all brought us a surprise birthday dessert (he overheard us toasting-'smile'). Every dish was delicious: the lasagna, snapper in lemon sauce and chicken penna a la vodka. We will definitely be back!! Ambiance is warm and cozy, there are semi-private booths and a room for bigger parties 4-8. Lovely interior.

    Bar just before closing.

Pat ordered chicken parmesan with angel hair pasta, while our guest ordered eggplant parmesan, but the orders were not served correctly. The biggest issue was the lack of attention to detail. One of our guests was drinking a specific wine, and the server came by and poured Chardonnay into her glass without even asking first. No one offered to replace it or make up for the mistake, which was very disappointing. We were also confused by a $4.95 charge that appeared to be listed as ranch dressing, when it really seemed to be for the salad. We had expected salad to come with dinner, so that was another letdown. This was actually our second poor experience. On a previous visit, the restaurant was so crowded that it took more than 30 minutes for anyone to take our order. We understand mistakes happen, but service and follow-through matter. Unfortunately, based on these experiences, we do not plan to return. Looking back it appears two years ago I gave this restaurant another try review - hasn't changed sorry to say!

What I got was something else entirely. Let's start with the positive: the marinara sauce is outstanding. Rich, balanced, bright tomato flavor. It's the one thing on the menu that made me think someone in the kitchen understands Italian food. Unfortunately, that's where the praise ends. The carbonara was the first red flag. The menu description somehow manages to omit the two ingredients that define carbonara--egg and Pecorino Romano--yet proudly announces that it's "topped with Alfredo sauce." Alfredo sauce? On carbonara? Somewhere in Rome, an Italian grandmother just threw a wooden spoon across the kitchen. Real carbonara is a simple masterpiece: guanciale, egg, Pecorino Romano, black pepper, and pasta. That's it. No cream. No Alfredo. No shortcuts. Calling a pasta covered in Alfredo sauce "carbonara" is like putting ketchup on a hot dog and calling it Neapolitan cuisine. Then came the chicken piccata, which was even more disappointing. A proper piccata starts with thinly pounded cutlets. What arrived was an entire chicken breast that looked like nobody had bothered to spend the extra thirty seconds with a meat mallet. More importantly, where were the flavors that make piccata piccata? Where was the bright lemon? The garlic? The white wine? Instead, I was served what tasted like a heavy cream sauce with an excessive amount of capers thrown in for good measure. Rich? Sure. Piccata? Not even close. Italian cooking isn't about drowning everything in cream. It's about balance, restraint, and letting a handful of quality ingredients speak for themselves. What I found at Piesanos was an Americanized interpretation that seems convinced every Italian dish can be improved by adding more cream and more sauce. If you're looking for authentic Italian food, this isn't it. If you're looking for excellent marinara sauce, congratulations--you've found it. Unfortunately, it's attached to a menu that appears to have lost its passport somewhere between Gainesville and Naples.
