Not the best experience! Long wait, rushed, chipped nails. This was my first time at Milano Nail Lounge in bargersville. I made an appointment through their website for Saturday May 16 at 11:45 am. I got there right at 11:42 am and checked in at the front desk and waited. After a few minutes I was taken to a spa chair and asked to wait. I waited until 12:17 and finally someone came to start on my service. 32 minute wait after I was scheduled , I was being nice about it because I could never be rude but I was a bit upset! What is the point of an appointment then? I got a classic pedi and white gel. Total was $52 plus tip. I was home all day not doing anything crazy, took a shower, laid in bed, and by 10:25 pm my pinkie nail polish was lifting! This was very upsetting because this pedi didn't even last a full day before chipping. I understand they were seemingly short staffed, but I did feel like my pedi was a bit rushed and that might be what led to poor application and my nails chipping. I didn't even wear tennis shoes, I wore flip flops to the appointment and at home! Very frustrating. I am giving it 3 stars because I'd like to believe hopefully this was a one time mistake. The atmosphere was very nice, very clean, and my nail artist was very nice. But for $52 plus dollars I am upset my polish is lifting. read more

I really wanted to like Milan Nail Studio--it's close to home and I was hoping to find a new go-to spot. Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed and frustrated. All I wanted was a simple, basic manicure with clear polish. When I arrived, the person at the front desk asked if I wanted gel, and I clearly said no--just a regular manicure with clear polish. He sat me down and immediately started using a drill on the surface of my natural nails, which was confusing and upsetting, especially since I mentioned I wanted something basic. My nails have been very fragile postpartum, and now they're covered in drill lines. Then another technician took over. I politely asked him not to cut my cuticles too far back, and while he seemed to understand at first, he eventually ignored my request. Sure enough, he cut my pinky too far back and it bled. He also completely ignored the hangnails, which was one of the main reasons I came in. To top it off, when it came time to polish, I reminded him again that I just wanted clear polish. After washing my hands (which stung terribly from the cut cuticle), he simply applied oil and sent me on my way. No polish, no care, and $25 later I left irritated and honestly, a little sad. And yes--I still tipped, which I regret, but I didn't have the heart to say anything in the moment. It's frustrating how often places cut corners yet still expect full payment. Hidden gem nail salon! My entire bridal party and I got mani pedis the day before my wedding and they were able to accommodate all 10 of us at the same time. The staff is very friendly and the services received were great! The staff was even able to do custom nail designs when asked. They have a lot of colors to choose from and their massage chairs are very comfortable!! My friends and family now use this spot as our regular nail salon! Definitely recommend!! read more
