The exposed brick walls and cool java related decor make it a cozy space. There are two windows providing some natural light but mostly it's a warm, dark space. While they allow working inside they do limit usage on weekends to accommodate as many folks as possible. My husband really enjoyed his latte and said they use good coffee. We ordered a chocolate croissant, two scramble bowls with sweet potatoes, and an everything bagel with cream cheese. We enjoyed all of our treats and would recommend! This is a sweet little spot and a great stop off the Loveland bike trail. They have a play area for kids and it's connected to a store you can walk through. We had one of their breakfast bowls and a Cortado. Unfortunately their espresso is not my favorite, but I'm sure it's good if you like really dark roasts. Very historic family-owned, operated coffee shop less than one block from the Loveland bike trail. I went after hours on a Saturday evening for a intimate meet and greet with a up-and-coming musical artist who is well known to the area. There was probably a good 30 to 40 people there. You can rent this place out for baby showers,birthday parties, graduation parties etc etc. they have a very large selection of coffee and other drinks they even have a walk up window. read more

My friends and I stopped in for a coffee while riding the bike trail. As we got closer to Mile 42 Coffee we seen more and more people walking with coffee cups. I got an ice vanilla latte and I will say not only is it as good as I make at home, which is very high praise as I am a coffee snob. My friend and I stopped by this cute shop yesterday morning! The line was to the door, but I'm not surprised for a Sunday morning. We didn't have to wait too long despite the queue, and the interior was very cute. There is an assortment of seating and a myriad of frog-themed decor. I had browsed the menu the night before, thinking I was going to order the popular Frogman, but then saw the seasonal Top Banana Latte and had to get that instead! I also got the mushroom parmesan quiche and it was delicious. My friend ordered the salted caramel latte and breakfast bowl with salsa (super cheesy!). Sam, who took our orders at the register, was super nice, and we ended up sitting outside (two small 2-person tables and a bench). The location of this shop is ideal--right next to the Loveland Bike Trail and other Historic Downtown businesses--and they also have an ordering window outside. What a perfect little coffee shop! The Loveland area is so charming and this seems to be a popular community spot. Perfect for families, students or someone looking to get a little work done. The coffee shop itself is small but they have extra seating in the local hardware store next door. It truly feels like walking into a hallmark movie. My lavender latte was perfect and I also had a ham and cheese croissant that was lovely. The pastries seem to be locally made and the staff were so kind. Never skip out on a ham and cheese hand pie if they're in stock. Warmed up so give yourself a few extra minutes but worth it. As for drinks, there's no wrong answer hot or cold. Do not go here if you want a safe place to work or chill out. Walked into this half-empty shrine to overpriced bean juice, ordered a large coffee, dropped a tip like a good little patron, and chose an empty small two-seat table in the back, well out of everyone's way, no music, settled in to do a bit of work. The baristas smiled. The espresso machine purred. The indie folk playlist whispered sweet nothings about "vibes." All was well. Until the Laptop Police arrived. Out comes the owner, or maybe an employee, or maybe a ghost fueled by burnt espresso grounds and bad business choices to tell me I needed to leave. Apparently, laptops are forbidden on Saturdays and sundays. You know, the day people have free time and might want to get something done. Revolutionary. "Didn't you see the sign?" He asked, as if I had deliberately ignored some blazing billboard of laptop sin. So I looked. And looked. And finally. Oh yes. That one, lonely, microscopic sign tucked behind a group seating area like a forgotten scroll in a fantasy dungeon. Not even Indiana Jones could've found that without a map and a lantern. So let me get this straight...I paid, I tipped, I took up one seat in a half-empty cafe, and I'm the problem? Got it. Never going back. Which is a shame because I love the Loveland bike trail. This place betrayed my trust in a safe environment to relax. In summary: Coffee: eh and very overpriced. Atmosphere: vaguely cult-like. Customer service: imagine a librarian and a TSA agent had a baby, and it was raised by a "No Fun" sign. Signage: Where's Waldo, but for passive-aggressive policies. Would I return? Only if I'm starring in a reality show called "How Fast Can You Get Kicked Out for Using a Laptop?" Save your money, your time, and your dignity. First of all, that sounds crazy that a coffee shop bans laptops during certain times. But, it got worse, he then tells a customer, loudly enough for the entire place to hear, "I already told those girls once to put their laptops away." So he lies and he shames them in public. Stopped for a coffee on a Saturday morning and was not overly impressed. They have an indoor pick up and outdoor pickup window. These was quite a few people in line, but we were served our coffee quickly. Lots of coffee variety and the cashier was helpful when asked about the options. Coffee was wonderful but not impressed with the food. Ordered a bacon burrito and a ham hand pie. Waited over 30 minutes for both. The burrito was grilled on the outside but cold on the inside. I just figured out that between the hardware store and the fence business there is a great little coffee shop in Loveland! It's very cozy - you can order at the window at the sidewalk outside or you can enter and order at the counter. I went in because I wanted a better look at the pastries. I ordered an iced latte (delicious) and an orange cranberry scone - outstanding! Service was pleasant and efficient. Street or lot parking nearby, plus it's right along the bike trail and close to the canoe livery if you happen to be enjoying other modes of transportation. And interestingly, there is an entry to the hardware store from within the coffee shop, in case you need to pick up some supplies for that home project you are working on! read more

This place is so cute! I know they sell Coffee Emporium coffee...which is why I had originally gone...But they also sell one of my favorite doughnuts there as well (Paleo Primal Treats). It's definitely smaller than I had expected and as both this location and the Coffee Emporium in Oakley, people LOVE THE COFFEE!!! so will stand in lengthy lines to get it! I should have expected it! That's no complaint! That's definitely a compliment to how good their service and eatery are. The staff is great as well as everything they serve there...it's bound to have a line! Update: The owner very kindly reached out and apologized that they are going through a transition. I will give them another try sometime. I don't normally write reviews unless it's exceptional service, and typically it is good service from Mile 42. But I had a bad experience this morning that I feel is worth mentioning. Ordered 2 iced vanilla lattes, and the barista stacked the cups and only wrote on one. So after 20 minutes of waiting to make the drinks, only one comes out. I had to go stand in line again to ask about it, after waiting an additional 5 minutes thinking maybe the other latte was right behind it. When I got to the counter to ask, the barista went looking for awhile and then said "I think someone else took it because there was no name on it." There were not two drinks placed on the counter. When my name was called, only one, and I went up right away. So then we waited another 5-10 minutes for the second drink. No apology was given, no accountably was taken. A simple "sorry for the wait" would've really been appreciated. read more

Great little coffee shop in Loveland that is easily accessible from the bike trail. (Though bikers, note that they do have a sign asking you to remove your cleats before coming inside! Not to worry, you can also order at the take out window on the sidewalk if that's a dealbreaker.) They have all the usual suspects you might want from a coffee shop, plus a few local specialties. Frogman is a mint/mocha creation named for the local cryptid, a humanoid frog. (You'll also find the Frogman of Loveland on various shirts and merchandise in the store.) I live right around Mile 43, so a short hop up the Loveland bike trail and I'm at their doorstep. Having lived in Over-the-Rhine for the better part of 10 years and loved Coffee Emporium's superb coffee, I was pleasantly surprised to find this business' proprietor not only worked for and was trained by the illustrious Tony Tausch, Coffee Emporium's owner, but is supported and encouraged by him in this endeavor - and she gets her coffee beans straight from her old boss. Excellent! So, their coffee is so, so good. And I'm lucky because of it. Add into the mix the ambiance of this "hole in the wall" coffee shop, adjacent (with easy passage through a doorway) to an old-timey small town hardware store (with its own excellent collection of bottled soda pops from all over worth checking out), this is a great place to grab some joe, get some work done (with the ultra-fast Internet) and run into some locals. Then if you're on the bike trail, walk the 50 feet or so and carry on with your ride. This locally-owned coffee shop is worth a stop each and every time you visit downtown Loveland. Van My Wife and I visit Mile 42 at least twice a week, We absolutely love this coffee shop. As far as I'm concerned it's the best thing in Loveland. The people that work there are all totally awesome, they are always so helpful and kind. Mile 42 is successful not only because of their delicious coffees, delicious latttes, blueberry muffins, scones, but their employees as well. I think the coffees, chai teas are much better than Starbucks. We'll see you guys soon. read more

This is a very charming coffee shop that really adds something to downtown Loveland. They have a nice outdoor walkup window with tables, as well as indoor seating. Inside has a cozy feel (not small just warm and inviting). The staff is super kind and are glad to offer recommendations. I tried the seasonal iced honey nut latte with oatmilk. While I do not have dairy restrictions, I have really been enjoying drinks with oatmilk since it is extra creamy without the higher fat of whole milk. The latte was slightly sweet with a nutty little kick. I also grabbed some of their yummy looking goodies including the ham and cheese hand pie, and the sun dried tomato quiche. I was in Loveland on the bike trail running last weekend. Ran by this place and decided to drop by after my run. You order at a window next to the hardware store (near the canoe place). Like most coffee places, they ask for your name and call it when your order is ready. Look at the instructions written in chalk on the sidewalk :o). I went for my usual latte with almond milk, but I also saw a ham & cheese hand pie on the menu! SO glad I ordered it! The crust was flaky and buttery with just the right amount of filling.
