I would not use this company. They were to aerate (plugs), liquid aerate, over seed, and fertilize. I have a big yard and they did it in 30 minutes with 1 guy. What was sprayed on my yard could not of been reseeding, liquid aeration, and fertilizer. The man did not even do my entire yard. It appeared that how fast can I do this and get on to the next yard. We contacted Mile High Services to arrange for lawn aeration, fertilizing, and over seeding. A core aerator was used for the aeration while the service technician used a backpack filled with the company's chemicals to apply the "liquid aeration", fertilizer, and over seeding. There is absolutely no evidence of over seeding. Not one seed could be seen on the lawn. When we called Mile High Services for clarification we were told that the over seeding was accomplished with the back pack sprayer. The nozzle used produced too fine a spray to contain any grass seed. Every other lawn service company we contacted regarding over seeding uses a mechanical spreader that actually contains grass seed that you can clearly see. We feel like they advertised a service that clearly was not provided. Before you request over seeding you should demand to see the actual seed and how they will be applying it. read more

I had a terrible time with this company last year, to the point where the owner called me over the phone to harass me. They continue to call me every year to sell me their services despite how many times I have asked them to take me off of their list. They also use spam calling methods to see whether or not you will answer. This company is highly unethical and deeply incompetent, so much that they rely on volume to make money and they cut their losses on every burned client. If they do a bad job you will only be met with hostility. The employees will even go as far as to threaten you by telling you they know where you live if you don't like their services. This has happened twice now. Please save yourself the harassment and give your business to someone who actually deserves it. This is the worst of the worst of all denver businesses. Shocker that they have the lowest rating of any business I've ever seen on here. read more

Garbage & money hungry business! They don't give you a time because they can't figure out anything more than a 12 hour window when they'll aerate your lawn. Thier policy is "we don't give you a time so you don't have to be there". This sounds great but if you have a dog their policy is that "they don't open gates if there is dog in your backyard".Such was the case for me and then they call you, but if you're at work during that time and can't answer, they'll do the front yard and charge you more money to come back to do the backyard. Better to go with your neighborhood buddy who does this as a side gig for half the price. read more

By far the worst customer experience I have ever received..Started out by making an appt. for aeration, over seed and fertilazation which they have been promoting on radio. First appt. the individual showed up at the address with no Drivers license and ID, since we are a gated community they were denied entry.. Second appointment I called because it was getting late in afternoon and said i was concerned because I have about a acre of land that was going to be treated, was than told they only do 1/4 acre and service would be cancelled, also had a appt. for the following day on a commercial property and than was told they don't do commercial?? not on the web site or with customer service reps on phone was this ever relayed at the time of booking. A customer service rep became very hostile and even invited me down to his location if I had further issues which I took as intimidating.. They only aerated 30% of my yard and then sent me a bill. The 30% of the yard they did is questionable at best. Disappointing service and even though I have used them multiple times over the years this will be my last. Also making sure a neighborhood email goes out to be aware since I know many of my neighbors have used them. However, I think most people in my neighborhood have dropped using them in the last 2 years with similar experiences. read more

IF I could give ZERO stars, I would. I scheduled twice: We hand-water the yard the day prior as instructed. NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP, and no one bothered to even call. OK, so we are reasonable and forgiving people, so we reschedule for two days later, and now we have to water the yard for a second time. AGAIN, NO ONE SHOWS UP! AGAIN, no call to notify us. This company apparently doesn't give a fig about being reliable or considerate. I am completely bewildered how they got some 5-star reviews, I must assume they are from family or employees of the company. We are done with any service they offer. If you're considering going with them as of April 2025, I'd think twice and call someone else or just not aereate your lawn, because in the end, that's all you are going to get from them. read more

I am 100% certain this is the worst company I've ever done business with. They aerated my lawn in the mid-2000s and broke a water spigot on the house. They denied it, and I spent weeks fighting them. Fast forward to now, they STILL have me on their marketing list and call me with robo voicemails, despite my repeated requests (demands) to stop and several complaints to the FTC and BBB over the last TWENTY years! The yard service provided by Mile High was good and I've been with them for many years. HOWEVER, the billing dept is not good in the least. I paid via CC on the same day and have been receiving collections calls ever since. I spoke with Crystal, Jule, Claudia and Bill on ensuring that my verified payment was credited properly. Crystal emailed that everything was taken care of last month. Jule told me my number was on the "no call list", Bill said he was the Manager who can handle everything, Claudia told me that Crystal's notes said I left a VM but never returned her call (despite the verified Emails). The last call with Bill was this morning. Yet, this afternoon, I received yet another collections call. If they cannot run a billing dept, how can I trust them to do any of the services they advertise? read more

Ok, but messy and brings other weed from yards they recently did by not cleaning equipment prior to working in your yard.

They advertise "Deep Plug" aeration.... NOT! Their machine has an auto-roller -- the Tech just turns it on high and walks fast -- it the aerator tines barely even touch the surface of the lawn and the plugs are maybe a half-inch, but probably less. Normal plugs are are least 2 inches or longer. They don't do deep plugs, and their fertilizer spray is a complete joke. I'll not use Mile Hi ever again! read more

Called to ask for pricing for aeration after seeing their add on RTD bus. The person answering the phone just answered, "hello". Didn't identify name of biz to ensure I had correct biz. She didn't get the quote right as she didn't listen to what I wanted (quoted me a different service). First impression is lasting impression. The interaction with the call taker was horrible. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!! The worst service I've ever encountered in my 75+ years of life. Did a horrible job, missed spots, wouldn't take my calls to discuss the problem yet hassled me DAILY to pay the bill. After two months of their daily messages, I decided to pay. If I could leave a "0" I would. Billed $139.99 for "Online Special" Triple Deep Plug Liquid & Regular Aeration with Overseed and Fertilizer. Scheduled and the day that they were suppose to show up...no one came. Called and they indicated that they had cancelled due to weather, just hadn't gotten to me yet on their call list...it was 5pm, end of the day. Rescheduled and, while they did aerate, the ground was wet from rain and the plugs were not anything I would call deep...maybe an inch or two at best. More of an issue is that I could not/cannot find a single grain of fertilizer or seed in either the front or back yard. Called and spoke with a young lady who indicated the seed and fertilizer are "injected" into the ground during the aeration, therefore I would not see anything. I called BS and asked for a call back from a manager...been waiting for over a week with no return call. Called again today and again, I am waiting for a call back. Clearly, they didn't do what they advertised or deliver the service they billed for. WOULD NOT USE AGAIN!!! read more

Very disappointed! Used this company once before. Scheduled an aeration for last Friday the 4th of April. They canceled due to inclement weather. Totally understandable. Although I had to call to find this out as they never called to say they were not coming. I called back that same day to reschedule and was told that Thursday the 10th was fully booked, but Friday the 11th was available. Got an email confirming for the 11th. And saying to water the night before for better results, which I did. Just called because it's getting late in the day and was told that I was not on the schedule for the day. I told the guy I have an email confirmation. He said I don't show it on my computer. I told him are they coming today or do I nee to call another company? He said let me go talk to my manager to see if I can get someone out there today. He confirmed my phone number and then hung up on me. No call back. Unprofessional! Wish I'd seen these reviews before giving this guy $50 to blow out our sprinklers. He didn't turn off the water to the sprinkler system (actually didn't even come into the house) and I'm too uninformed to know that was necessary. Also we found a piece of one of the sprinkler heads on the lawn after he left. My mistake for assuming someone who was doing this as a job would know how to do it. Now I am being hassled with bills emailed to me daily. I've called three times to try to get this worked out. Twice I was told by the person on the phone that they would have their manager contact me. No manager has contacted me. I left a voicemail on the third try. Again, no response. Like a lot of people posting reviews, I paid the $139 for aeration, fertilization, and over-seeding. Unfortunately, I didn't check Yelp or Google Reviews beforehand, so I didn't see that it was going to be an absolute waste of money. When I called to make the appointment, the guy said Fall was the perfect time to overseed, so when spring came, the new grass seed would grow when the ground was warm enough, with minimal effort. When I came home from work, I saw that the aeration had been done, but I looked real closely at my lawn and didn't see ONE grass seed. Called them up and the guy on the phone said that the grass seed was there, it was just too small to see. Then he checked the records and they *did* forget to do the seeding and fertilization, so they would come back. After they back, not one seed on my lawn. But he said I might not be able to see them, so I decided to wait. Come springtime, the snow melts and the ground gets warm enough, and as I had suspected, no new grass in my yard. Bare spots were still bare. So I call them up again, and now a woman on the phone says that Fall is a TERRIBLE time to overseed since it doesn't have time to grow before the winter, and I should have done it in the spring... And now by the time I realize I didn't get anything for my $139, it's too late to file a refund request with my credit card company. How convenient. read more

Paid $139 for the aeration, fertilizer, and over seeding special. I made sure to water the yard long enough to ensure the ground was soft to allow for the longest plugs possible. The aeration was poorly done and you could tell it was rushed because a lot of the yard had zero plugs pulled. I could not find any trace of fertilizer or grass seed anywhere in the yard. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and left a message but never heard back. Two weeks later my neighbors yards are looking great and mine looked like it had not be attended to at all. In the end I spent $60 to buy a bag of fertilizer from HD and did it myself. Next week I'll overseed myself. Do yourself a huge favor and don't call these folks. They don't do a good job and don't bother to return calls if you have an issue. There are so many other options or there. Or, just do it yourself and be guaranteed the job gets done properly. I had originally left a one-star review for lawn aeration because the service technician had only aerated about half of the lawn when he left. To their credit, after I complained that I wasn't satisfied with the service, they sent out another technician the next morning and redid my lawn. This time the whole lawn was covered, and I'm satisfied with the results. read more

Strongly recommend this company. It's been around Denver for three decades and provides excellent services. They do my lawn in the spring in the fall and they do a great job. Several payment options available. Thank you for helping me keep my lawn green. I recommend that you get on their services as they can do discounts if you do multiple action items It's so important to clean out your gutters and also take a look at the insulation package for your home. Requested my windows and gutters cleaned. The window were done good. When I asked the technician about the gutter he told me it was done while doing the windows. However the gutters were never done. Absolutely terrible!!! Two properties to be aerated on a Tuesday and they failed to do so on the agreed upon date. The manager rescheduled the appointments for a 3 hour window for the following Friday and we (us and our tenants) changed our schedules to accommodate given pets, et al... They did not show up at the agreed upon times and once again failed on multiple occasions yet sent us a bill anyway. I used MHS over 10 years ago and had a terrible experience... 10 years later...
