Absolutely do NOT recommend! Extremely overpriced, after nearly $900 for 2 tries to get my sprinklers up and running, they still didn't work! I was over-charged and ripped off. I had to have a different company come out and they told me that one of the parts that Jones' replaced was broken already! And to top it off, he walked through my house (several times) in muddy boots (even though I had plenty of rugs to wipe his feet on) and I ended up having to clean up after him and mop my floors. We needed a fix to our sprinkler system supply line below the back flow preventer and after disappointments with other companies not showing up or not calling back, we happened upon KC Lawn Specialists who put us on their schedule, called to keep us updated, and showed up. My supply line was fixed in about 45 minutes for a reasonable price. I was doing my happy dance by the time the specialist left. I had been hand watering for so long that I forgot I could now turn on a zone. I was very pleased with the overall experience. He came out today, quickly diagnosed the main problem (a stuck valve, which he promptly unstuck), checked all the sprinkler heads and replaced a few, and gave me an estimate for some work that needs to be done later. Kaemon is candid, professional, and enthusiastic about his work, and his prices were quite reasonable. One thing that customers need to know. EVERYONE who is scheduled to have work done on a particular day will get an email saying their appointment is at 8:30 a.m. Kaemon plans the route the night before, so just text him in the morning to get an ACTUAL estimated time of arrival. The guys at KC Lawn Specialists did a great job fixing our busted sprinkler system and installing new sod in our backyard. Our system was in bad shape with a bad manifold and backflow that the previous owners had patched with spray foam. Conley & Kaymon provided an upfront estimate and fair pricing. While I was able to make some adjustments on my own, I figured it would make more sense to pay a professional, especially when it became more of a wiring challenge. After getting a few quotes and timeframes, Conley was the only one of the bids that was a good price AND able to come out almost immediately (it's late May, so I understand irrigation/sprinkler companies are slammed). Kaemon was running a bit late on the scheduled day of maintenance, but both he and Conley kept me constantly updated, which I haven't experienced with very many companies ever. Kaemon did a fantastic and really quick job of finding some wiring issues, adjusted some sprinkler heads, and replaced some sprayer nozzles. It was a really fantastic experience. Kaymon came back out and did a thorough diagnosis of the missing zones, upgraded a few sprinkler heads, and even fixed the gate to the backyard. ----------------------- Update: (Downgrading from five to three stars) Perhaps the service was a bit *too* efficient: after a few weeks, I've noticed: 1) Several zones are no longer firing at all. 2) I'm still no closer to finding the missing zone controller So, while they did install the timer (quickly), they left me worse off than I was before the service visit, and I'll need to have someone else come out to get everything in order. ----------------------- Original review Excellent, efficient service from these guys. If i could hive -1000000000000 stars i would ! I was looking to get my old existing sprinkler fixed and working as i was laying new sod for my young kids. I had KC lawn specialists and a few other sprinkler companies out in the middle of may for a quote. After doing my homework i still apparently failed. KC lawn is a fraudulent contractor who used shady tactics to try to get more work and money out of me. I paid them the down deposit on may 26 and they put us on the schedule. Around 2 weeks later when they were suppose to start the work the guy shows up and tells my wife quote "o i dont have the right tools and its more complicated than i thought. " after they came and looked at the job!! i shoulda known then to get my deposit back but i did not. So they had to reschedule me for almost a month later so i now had to cancel my sod delivery. When they showed up to do the the work on june 9 they caused more damage than they did work. Unsure if its super incompetence or straight fraud/sabotage to get me to pay them more money but either way they should of known better as sprinkler professionals. First of all they never showed up on time for any of their scheduled appointments. They worked a total of 11.5 hours over a course of 2 days and 30 mins on the 3rd . They blatantly tied their new valves and heads into a pipe that drained right back into the valve box so every time one of their new valves opened it flooded right back into the valve box. They had dug a hole and had seen where the 1" pipes their new valves were on as thats how they were planning on getting the water to the back yard. Next when they went to move a head i had asked them to move they dug it up moved it but then either left or put drip drain plugs on the end of the pipe instead of a sealed plug so the water would flow to the heads but also right out that drip drain into the ground so hardly any water but just enough for them to show my wife it worked but that there was a problem and they needed to come back to fix on the 28th of june. Again they tapped their new line into this old 1" pipe so they had seen wat i saw when i dug it up. Then as a professional sprinkler guy buried it back in the ground and left only for me to discover all the problems when i got home from work.my wife dad and I have spent over 20 hours fixing all the shit they did wrong on my system and NO thanks to KC sprinklers I now have a working system. They threatened my wife theyd rip it all out when i was at work if i didnt pay them within 10 minutes because i told them i would not pay them unless the system was working as was part of contract and hand shake. When asked about all this work that they either DID or witnessed how it was done first hand tried to claim They knew what the problems were and thats why they were gonna come back on the 28th to charge me Hundreds of dollars for something that should of been corrected the first time they had the holes dug open. They were very very incompetent or did all this to scam me into thinking the old pipes were the problem so they can rip me off for more money when in reality the only problems were the ones they created or left in compromised ways. Also one of the brand new valves they built and installed leaks!! Also they put all new heads in my back yard and designed the lay out themselves and it does NOT even cover the whole yard!! What a joke!! Again these people Had no idea what they were doing or was a scam to rip me off of 2400 plus whatever they were gonna charge on the 28th. None the less please please please do NOT use this contractor. I will attach all the videos and pics i have here and up front sorry for the vulgar language i was highly upset as they offered nothing to mitigate the problems or address fixing them. I recently reached out on yelp for quotes, and Conley was very good at reaching out over yelp messenger and then via text. I appreciated the effort on the first contact as some companies have yet to respond. Admittedly it was a bit tougher to get a time set up for someone to come out and take a look at my sprinkler situation because sprinkler companies are swamped this time of year (pun intended). We eventually got a time set up, and Kaemon came out not only on time but 15 min early (I needed to get to work and so they worked with me to get a morning appointment) Kaemon was friendly, patient, and obviously knew his way around a sprinkler system. We tested and troubleshot together, and I was able to pick Kaemon's brain. In the end it seemed like the issue I had might not be with the sprinkler system. What impressed me most was that Kaemon did not try to up-sell me afterward. He made recommendations for further tests I could run on my own, but was honest in saying he didn't want to charge me to fix what wasn't broken. I will keep them in mind for the future. read more

The guys over at KC are flat out awesome. Called them with with what I thought was a major leak in my back yard close to the foundation. They talked me through the possible problems and reassured me I had nothing to worry about. They came out as quickly as they could and diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes of being here and had it fixed in 20. They did a full walkthrough of my sprinkler system and made sure everything else was running smoothly. Took them 30-40 minutes and I'd never be able to tell they were even here! For a few years our yard and sprinklers have needed attention. This all came to a head this summer as my wife had been staring into our backyard for two months while remote teaching. Contacted a few sprinkler repair companies in the area which either were completely booked out or felt like charging more than what the project called for. Reached out and was able to get booked to get an estimate. Kaymon (apologize I'm butchering the spelling) came out and did a quick review on our problems (Ironically our cross street neighbors had used KC about two weeks prior and had nothing but great things to say, Kaymon even checked in to make sure that the work there was still doing great). In about an hour had a zone running that not been functional for about two seasons. He also switched out some nozzles to get better water coverage from the current heads. Provided me a full estimate on the repair which included moving three heads, replacing most of the current nozzles and rebuilding the manifold which had not been buried and had had some issues with wildlife getting into the cover. Estimate was a third of what other companies were estimating. Had them back out within the week everything completed and the entire system is running like a champ now. Conley and Kaymon provided feedback and thoughts throughout and let us get a sense of our options to best fix the system to our liking.
