I'd like to start by saying that I have known Milena for about 8 or 9 years now, and she is one of the most talented, hardworking people I have ever met. I mean this girl does not QUIT. Our first interaction was over the phone with my best friend, me on the verge of tears because a hair stylist at Floyd's barbershop had turned my hair stripy green brown with red brown roots. Milena told me to come into the salon (where she worked at the time) on the spot and she somehow fixed my disaster. I have since only gone to her, or someone on her incredible team. Now I need a moment for my gorgeous Cleo. She has created this insanely perfect dark gray/denim blue color that I didn't even know existed - and now it's my signature color. I can't tell you how many compliments I get, from STRANGERS. It's been a month and a half since she last did my hair and it's STILL a beautiful blue-ish/gray - no brassy tones at all. She also happens to be one of the sweetest people to ever exist. I cannot recommend her enough. So I had never died my hair because I was always so afraid of damaging my curls, length, texture, etc. but a good friend of mine recommended Milena. Not only is she the sweetest person ever but she made me feel so safe and comfortable with this drastic change. I naturally have very dark hair and wanted to go blonde, throughout the entire process she explained what she was doing, was very attentive and reassuring, and gave me several tips on how to care for my hair. Milena really cares about her clients, before she touched my hair she made sure that I was positive about my decision and that I had spent adequate time thinking about it because she didn't want me to have any regrets. This made me feel like it's a lot more than just a job to her, she genuinely cares about her clients. Not only was I so in LOVE with the color, but my curl pattern remained in tact which was my primary concern. I've gotten SO many compliments from strangers and my family and friends. I found Milena online and booked an appointment to have her color correct my hair. Milena was very sweet from the start, I showed her pictures and we discussed what we both thought would be the best for the end result. I came in with brown/red hair that had been faded for months. I didn't realize how bad my hair was until I saw the pictures. First Milena took me dark to start with a new base then we added highlights to my hair. Milena worked on my hair by herself and I have a lot of hair. She was super careful and precise about the process. She never short cut my hair and myself. Milena wanted the right color. After 8 hours I came out with beautiful hair that was not red and orange but subtle balayage that was low maintenance for your busy la girl. Milena gave me instructions and products I can use to maintain the color vibrancy and the health of my hair. For the past five years I have had not so great experiences getting my hair colored and I have been searching for a hair stylist I can trust for so long. I decided it's time to invest in my hair and go to an expert in LA. I finally booked with Milena after following her on ig for awhile! It was the best salon experience of my life. Milena's playlist was great! The salon was so beautiful and Milena and her assitant were amazing! The color came out better than I imagined, so rich and vibrant! And her assistant diffused my hair! I am in love with the waves! I haven't seen my hair look this healthy since I was a teen. I am very appreciative to have been offered that choice (to diffuse) at a salon. That shows me that they know and respect all hair types. I am so inspired me to wear my hair natural more often and take care of it. Cleo gave me one of the best salon experiences I've had in a long time! When I first got to the salon I was instantly hit with this very relaxed and welcoming vibe, everyone inside was so nice and kind. Once I sat down Cleo and I discussed what color of blonde we were going to go with since I had so many ideas. Her Knowledge on hair color was astronomical it blew me away!! When we got to the dying/bleaching process she kept me updated on what she was currently doing with my hair. She gave me a step by step of what each product was and what it is used for. After the full process was over she beautifully styled my new hair. Cleo also gave me excellent advice on how to take care of my hair after going blonde. I personally love my hair and even thinking about someone fucking it up, makes me cry. I always moved around with hairstylist since I was never able to really get the color or that long lasting color where you don't have to go back every other damn month to get it looking decent again. Now when I met Milena instead of crying in a negative way I wanted to cry because I had never left a salon so satisfied. Without having to fake a smile and settle. I never have to settle!!!! At this point I just say "I want it blonde" and let her do her shit lol no need to explain, nada. Lowkey I go weeks, months without toner touch up and my hair still looks amazing. I have a lot of curly hair and I wanted to dye my full hair (copper with highlights) for the first time so I really was trying to look for someone that could really work with my crazy curly hair, and let me just say I'm so happy I found Cleo! She is so kind, best listener, and she gives the best suggestions for your hair as well. If you're a curly girl and are looking for a trusted stylist who won't leave you with damaged curls, this is the place to go. I have personally gone to other stylists with waist length curly hair and had to chop it to my shoulders due to them completely breaking my hair off. I have yet to trust a stylist until now. I came in with healthy, bouncy curls and left with soft, intact curls. I went from a deep brown to a copper-brown and my hair looked amazing. Milena Rose has always and will always be the best hair stylist I have ever been to! I have crazy curly hair that a lot of stylists do not have experience with and do not fully understand. I went in with very dry and damaged hair and came out with soft, silky, replenished, layered hair that stayed beautiful even after washing it! I told her my bachelorette was that night, and she amped my big curls that stayed on for a couple of days. I also had my make-up done there with her brother, Patrick. I left there feeling all glamorous. My second session, I wanted to go ombré. I was a little nervous since I have been dark for a few years. But 'lo and behold, I loved how she made my hair look! It looked great on natural lighting with the caramel color weaved in. Again, I felt like a glamour star. Azelle styled mine and my cousins hair twice and both times, we loved it. Her personality is amazing and she is great at making you feel welcome. I like the fact that she is by appointment only so she only concentrate on one client at a time. It is a small studio with street parking. I love their set-up. Azelle know what she's doing when it comes to hair and her brother, Patrick, is a make-up pro.

I found Elev8 on Groupon and took the risk based on a good yelp review and her website. It was absolutely worth it. I had red hair for ten years and then attempted to strip it out and go back blonde a few months ago. The results were less than successful. When I came to Azelle I still had a lot of red in the lenths of my hair and really long roots with blonde highlights. I am now a blonde again. No red. No roots. It is beautiful and natural. Give Azelle a call. You will not be disappointed.

I decided to check out Groupon, and I went ahead to text Dustin and he responded in a timely…read moremanner. He was super helpful even texted me a picture where I should park. Love the signage outside of the place. Everything was very clear. He greeted me when I walked in and said he was finishing up with someone else. The only drawback really is that he was finishing up another client, so ended up working on my hair almost a half hour after our scheduled start time. Thankfully, I coordinated childcare with my husband, so didn't have to make it home at a certain time. He asked me to show some pictures of what I wanted, and I proceeded to do so. This guy is definitely a hair artist. He is someone who will tell you what he thinks will look good on you. I asked him to cut off a couple of inches, but he refused because he thought I would look too much like a soccer mom lol. He pumped up the volume of the music and went straight to it. He offered snacks and beverages and really makes sure that the customer and client is comfortable. He is old-school in certain ways, but super endearing. For example, he doesn't love to use the flat iron and will blow dry your hair with a round brush and call it a day. The color looks pretty incredible! He definitely knows what he's doing. I will most definitely be returning.

I came in with my hair being the longest and darkest it's ever been and I cut it off to my shoulders and got highlights too. I did pay for Full Highlights and they would only give me partial ones because of the length of my hair, which was a slight problem to begin with I must admit. But in the end it all worked out and I'm very happy with the color and the cut. The after pic is a little windy so you can't see the style of the bangs that well, but Dustin did a great job with the cut and Jacqueline did a great job with the color and the style. It did take almost 4 hours which is a lot, but I do have a lot of hair, so all in all no complaints! I would definitely recommend!
