Got the sizzling sisig bangus awhile back forgot to leave the review. Food is great. Service is amazing even if im ordering to go. Ambiance is quaint it has the home feel or like those places in the Philippines. Makes feel homey even just waiting for my to go order. I do recommend getting some food here. Its all made to order. Its not those places where they make a massive amount and have on warmers.
It was cold and we were craving for hot soup. Ordered the sinigang na bangus with shrimp and it was very satisfying. The broth was perfect! The tokwa't baboy was crispy with a good blend of the vinegar, onions and soy sauce. Very delicious and will definitely come back again.
Not sure why their name in this listing is spelled as one word. It should be 2 words: Miles Bistro. Casual Filipino joint in somewhat quite Filipino Milpitas. Demographically this place fits like a glove. Been in twice and both times 100% Filipino customers. I can understand the language, but I can't really speak it, so I love to hear all the amusing convos in here. The nature of the food here for the most part is family style portioning. I think they may have a small section for individual rice plates, but any other a la carte items will be in huge portioning, like meant for 3-4 people to share. We once came as a party of 2, ordered 3 things and we had so many leftovers that I don't even think we dented half of it whilst there. The dishes are also kinda pricey, but if you do factor in how many meals you can get out of a dish, then it isn't as daunting. Crispy Pata ($32/5*) I ordered this once for take-out and took it to my cousin's house for a celebratory dinner. This is somewhat of a hardcore dish as it is whole pig's foot/knuckle that is deep fried to a glorious crispness. Theirs is a really legit version as it is perfectly seasoned/salted and the contrast of super crisp skin/exterior and tender meat with gelatinous attachments just makes this a very ethnic eater's dish. I'm pretty sure that this is a very popular dish here and rightfully so. This is good enough to be my anchor dish here. Tortang Talong ($16/4*) This is basically an egg battered and fried eggplant. This is a meatless version but they do give you 2 whole Asian eggplants for this price. It is pretty plain but nicely executed. Beef Brisket Kare Kare ($31/4*) Just okay to me as the sauce didn't wow me, not peanut-y enough. The sauce also had a tinge of sweetness that I was not expecting. The beef was indeed tender and beefy and I think this is the first time I actually seen brisket get used. But the best versions I've had for this dish uses oxtails, but for some reason I am seeing it less and less these days. I did like how they put in a good amount of veggies in though to balance out the richness of the dish. Lechon Kawali ($26/3.5*) I think this is the most I've ever paid for this dish. But like I mentioned they did give us a lot, like enough for at least 4 peeps. It is nicely crisped and the oil quality was decent, not overly dark or old tasting, good fry technique. But it was a tad under seasoned, and surprised me quite a bit, since the Crispy Pata dish I ordered another time was seasoned well. But find a sauce to dip this into and most should get resolved. This resto is in a very Filipino centric complex with a Seafood City, Goldilocks and Valerio's. So if ever back on this block, I would opt here than say any of those mentioned for a hot entree or 2 to take home.
Service 10/10 Food is 4/5 So the pancit to be honest was ok nothing to special . The Crispy Pata was delicious and perfectly cook with the sauce on the side with rice yummy . I a mango float shake it was pretty good tbh kinda too sweet in my opinion . The portions were big and decent . The service was nice our server was a husband and wife and they were nice . I feel like this place gets overlook because there's a Max but I rather take my money here in Miles Bistro because Max is good but it's overhyped and will definitely come back see more dishes .
We visited this place after going to a fabric store in San Jose. At first we were going to go to Max restaurant next door but they don't open until 11:30 and decided to walk around and find somewhere place to eat nearby since we were extremely hungry. We ran into this place by accident and thought it was a Chinese restaurant, but saw that most pictures displayed outside the windows are Filipino food and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed and glad we ate there instead of going to Max Restaurant. The food was awesome, especially the Crispy Pata Kare-Kare combination. It was so good that some of us had ordered it again for to go. All of the food that we ordered was good. A little pricey ($30 for the crispy Pata kare kare) but the serving was good for four people. We will definitely go back there the next time we are looking for fabrics in San Jose.
The food here is great, it reminds me of my mom's home cooked Filipino. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. I came alone, but I would bring friends and family to here 10/10!
I love their crispy pata. So unhealthy but sooooo good. Yes, worth risking a heart attack for. In all seriousness, their crispy pata is reasonably priced and fried to perfection. They have 2 sizes. Also picked up some lumpia Shanghai and their chicken wings. Definitely worth the visit. Great value for the amount of food. Simple and casual interior. Staff are very friendly.

I ate at this restaurant for the first time and will come back again. I ordered kare kare and to my surprise, the serving was huge, enough to share with 4 people. The dish has a lot of nicely cooked veggies (not overcooked or soggy), and a lot of beef. It's really cheap considering there's so much beef in a serving. I totally recommend this restaurant to those who want to eat some legit home cooked Filipino food.
Discovered this spot on accident. We were initially trying to go to Max's but it was closed. Luckily, we found this spot on Yelp and it was right next door. Service was quick and super friendly. The ambiance of the restaurant was very cozy. I got excited when the menu referenced Pampanga because the city is known for food. My favorite dishes were the sinignang, sisig, garlic rice, lumpia, and pork binagoongan. The flavor of the kare kare was great and the crispy pata added texture to the dish. I just wish the kare kare sauce was thicker. read more
They either changed hands or changed the way they prepare food. Because now their dishes are far more 'home style'. The chili sweet wings were tasty but nothing spectacular. The crispy pata has tasty posts but also some inserts trust were too dry. Maybe overcooked? And the pancit bihon was good, perhaps a little in the greasy side. The restaurant itself isn't as nice as it used to be, just basic aging, but it is clean which is top thing. The service is pleasant. read more

Overall the food here was all right but nothing really stood out. The lumpia was just okay and the skin on the lechon kawali wasn't crispy enough. My favorite was the pancit bihon so that's all I would recommend out of everything I tried. read more

I think Miles Bistro gets overlooked since there Max Restaurant is next door but give it a chance and you will love and enjoy their foods. They won me by having kare-kare dish with beef. Sometimes I want beef kare kare rather than the traditional ingredients of oxtails and tripes. The crispy pata was cooked to its perfection of crispiness. Mom got her favorite dish style of pancit- they did not get stingy on the pieces of pork meats. Make room for dessert. The halo halo was not too sweet and first time having it with jackfruit flavored ice cream. read more

I've never been to this plaza and if you want to know how I picked this spot, here I go. It looked like the underdog. Why do I say this? It was next to "Max's kitchen." If you're Filipino, you should know about Max's fried chicken. Since I'm here to talk about Miles, I'll start off by saying that it most definitely passed the bathroom test. I had to use the facilities because my bladder was being active per usual. The bathroom passed my 'clean' test. Upon sitting, I was the only person in the restaurant and the server was quick to attend to me. M&M Sweet and Spicy Wings: These are unlike any other wings I've tried before. It was almost as if they had dipped these wings in melted butter and a little bit of sugar before dropping them into the fryer. The result was flavorful, crunchy, buttery and slightly sweet. Loved these. Miles Pancit Palabok: I was *so* looking forward to this because it's my favorite Filipino Dish. I've had this before when it's made badly and I've also had this when it's amazing. Presentation looked great with the green onions, chicharron bits sprinkled on top, sliced hard boiled egg and slice of lemon to squeeze. While it was good, it's not the best I've ever tasted. The Palabok sauce had an almost "jello-like" consistency. It almost reminded me of the way melted 'fat' looks like when its coagulated. Taste wise, it was okay but if I ever come back, I'm sticking to the wings. Side Note: If your'e a TFC fan, they have this playing on the TV inside. Perfect for people like me who need to brush up on their Tagalog. read more

I was craving Filipino food (specifically silog) and walked around the Seafood City plaza for something to eat. Unfortunately I missed Goldilocks' breakfast, Max's Chicken wasn't open yet, and Chow King didn't have anything appealing to me. I didn't know Miles Bistro even existed, so I was willing to try something new. The restaurant had just opened at 11:00am, so I was one of the first customers there. Miles Bistro was a very clean and simple, no frills cafe. The server advised me to take any table that I wanted. I planted myself right in front of the TV with TFC on, of course. Miles Bistro had some interesting items off the menu. I've never seen Sizzling Pork Dinuguan before, and I recognized some Ilocano dishes that my mom would make. I did find, however, that the silog portion of the menu was pretty standard but limited. I was hoping Miles Bistro would have tapsilog, which was what I really wanted, but they were out of tapa. They had chicken adobo, longanisa, fried tilapia, and bangus. I ended up getting the M Bistro chicken wings for starters and the chicken adobo silog. The marinade used on the M Bistro chicken wings was so good! I don't even really know how to describe the flavor... I think I could taste peanut, fish sauce, and sweet and sour. They're supposed to be spicy, but I didn't think they were spicy at all. As good as it tasted, my main complaints about the wings are that they were small and meat was dry. I was satisfied with the adobo silog. Initially the silog came with fried rice, but I requested to swap it out for garlic rice. Miles Bistro's garlic rice was the best. Way better than its neighboring Filipino restaurants because of its prominent garlic taste. The over-easy egg was cooked perfectly. The chicken adobo was really good too, and what was unique about Miles Bistro's adobo was their use of ginger. There were slivers of ginger in the adobo sauce, which I haven't seen typically. Again, this tasted great overall but the pieces of chicken were small and meat was dry. Customer service at Miles Bistro was totally fine. My server was very friendly and attentive. The food also came out quicker than I expected, which was great especially for a Filipino restaurant. The server set the expectation of at least 15 minutes for the food to come out, but my appetizer came out in less than 10 minutes. My silog arrived shortly after. read more

Very good food, I would suggest that you pre order because it takes a while as their food is cooked to serve. We also ordered the beef nilaga so delicious, they added the soup when it started running low. Crispy para kare kare is new to us very good too. We'll go back there to try the sizzling dinuguan. read more

My first time here, the waiter is really nice and helpful, the people behind the couple behind the counter not so much. The man don't smile or great you. The lady smiled though as I entered. I felt like it's a privilege for me to be there. I'm the customer and I'm patronizing your restaurant. A little of advise, heat and make your customer feel welcome, don't just do it to your Filipino customers. But again, the waiter was very nice and courteous. Ok, food wise, The chicken adobo was bland, no taste. The 5 chicken wings on the adobo they gave me were hard. Couple of the wings were old, I can tell because they were darker than the 3. It's like it was from yesterday's adobo. The restaurant itself is nice,the plate settings and the decor was nice. I will come back and try it again. read more

Came here Sunday 7/31 craving Filipino breakfast and wanting to support local, and they're listed to open at 10:30a on Sunday. At 10:35a they were still closed and 4 other customers not including myself already passed by surprised they're not open yet, and moved on. Ok so maybe it's Filipino time, no worries I ended up picking a few things up at Valerio in the meantime. Finally open at 10:45am and to make things more interesting they didn't have longanisa. I was just thinking how Seafood City is right next door if they need to buy some. Arroz Caldo's not available today either. A lady walked in, sat down hoping for this, then upon hearing they didn't have these things she decided to head to Chowking. Got the bangsilog instead. Pretty standard and comes with a small egg. It was ok, and really wish they had longanisa instead (what I was craving). Btw, minimum $15 credit card charge and my order was $13.11 after tax. People were nice. 3 stars overall. read more
Came here today with my boyfriend for the first time my mom recommended this place to try out and said the food is delicious. And it was! The customer service is really outstanding with attentiveness and cleanliness of the restaurant. It's air conditioned and well laid out. The food was made fresh, hot, and delicious. I highly recommend anyone who has cravings for Filipino food. The price is average just like other places and fair along with the portions of the food. Over all it's hard to choose between the three dishes we ordered on which is the best. Everyone's taste is different but, I grew up with my family making these dishes the same way they prepare it. Again the food was flavorful, with a taste of home cooking. Great to dine in or take out! Thank you for the Tita for helping us and Miles the chef for making sure we are taken care of. 10/10 would come again. read more

We tried a few Filipino eateries on our trip to the area but Miles Bistro was by far the best Filipino food we had on our trip. It was fresh and deliciously home-cooked style food. Service was friendly and attentive and the family owned and operated business stands above the rest! We will definitely stop here anytime we are back in the area read more

Are they permanently closed down? Came into the center yesterday (Saturday) around 5pm and it was lights out? Did they move and left the sign on building or permanently closed?
