Project Overview: -5,000 square feet flooring (tile/carpet demo, hardwood install, herringbone tile install, new baseboards) -5 bathrooms - complete gut renovations (including mold removal, plumbing reconfiguration, drywall install, tile install, lighting install, etc.) -Kitchen renovation (new sinks, faucets, counters, backsplash, appliance removal, cieling/lighting demo, etc.) +Many other smaller, yet important projects around the house Time to complete: ~3.5 months 1) Robert is an absolute pleasure to work with. He is so quick to respond to every single inquiry, no matter what time of day, and he will troubleshoot any issue with you with the utmost respect and patience. 2) Timelines are pretty accurate - FAR more accurate than the industry average which is awful. And this team moves fast! 3) His team is an amazing group of people! Shout out to Mario, Ramon, Jose, Jason & Eddy. Just a really solid group of guys who are professional and happy to help. 4) Mistakes are properly addressed - mistakes happen in a huge project like this, and we had two incidents with tile work. One where the wrong grouts were used, and one where the direction of tile was wrong. Both were caught at the end of the days work, and both were quickly addressed the following day with no issues. I guess the lesson here is double check everything prior to beginning work. 5) Valuable work! The quality of work is excellent for the price. Not everything is going to be 100% perfect, if you are expecting that, you should expect to pay 3x what CBR will quote you. Don't get me wrong, the end result is still a 9/10, but the value is a 20/10. I wouldn't hesitate for one second to go with Robert for another remodel project. In January 2026, we were having new quartz countertops installed and needed a sink. Normally, we would have just ordered something online and called it a day. Instead, we decided to visit the Kohler store, where we met Meika--and that decision made all the difference. First, her product knowledge was exceptional. She showed us the Billings workstation sink, a model I had seen online but likely would not have purchased on my own. In person, it was clear it was the perfect choice: beautiful color, smart design, and an exact fit for our cabinet. But the real test came on installation day. While installing the countertops, the installer noticed a scratch inside the sink that we hadn't seen before. We were scheduled to leave for a trip the following week and assumed we'd have to delay the entire install and wait for a replacement--an expensive and frustrating scenario. I called Meika, and she immediately took ownership of the problem. Within minutes, she set a solution in motion. Despite the fact that Kohler's East Coast offices were closing in 15 minutes, she somehow arranged for a brand-new replacement sink to be delivered to our home, on site, within two hours that same day. We were absolutely amazed. That level of service, urgency, and advocacy simply does not happen when ordering online. Meika turned what could have been a major disruption into a seamless, stress-free experience. In September-October 2024, we trusted Tony, the owner of Capital Flooring, with a major renovation of our first home. Tony knew this was our family home and that we live here with our children, so we placed a great deal of trust in him and his company. Initially, we were thrilled with the results. Capital Flooring did beautiful work on our kitchen, bathroom vanities, tile floors, and vinyl flooring throughout our home. It truly felt like a dream come true. Unfortunately, just six months later, in April 2025, our vinyl flooring began shifting, lifting, and cracking. We contacted Tony immediately. He assured us that he stood behind his company and his product and that the issue would be fixed. The first repair did not take place until June 2025. During that visit, the installers attempted to address the flooring issues, but they also scratched the vinyl in other areas of our home. We reported the additional damage to Tony, and his team returned a few weeks later, toward the end of June, to address it. Unfortunately, the underlying flooring problem did not stay resolved. Several months later, the same issues began happening again. We contacted Tony and his team once more. They returned in March 2026, and Tony himself came to our home to see the problems firsthand. We appreciated him coming out personally and again believed that the issue would finally be resolved. Unfortunately, the latest repair attempt made the situation significantly worse. During that visit, the installer further damaged the flooring, broke our dishwasher, and damaged our kitchen cabinets--which were also designed and installed by Capital Flooring. We were left with additional damage to our home on top of the original flooring problem we had been trying to have corrected for nearly a year. Since that visit, we have spent months attempting to contact Tony to get these issues resolved. We have called and sent messages, but our attempts to communicate have largely gone unanswered. This is the part of our experience that is most disappointing. We did not expect perfection. We expected a company to stand behind the work and products it sold us. When the flooring began failing only six months after installation, we gave Capital Flooring the opportunity to make it right. We allowed their team to return to our home multiple times and continued trying to work with Tony rather than immediately taking our concerns public. Unfortunately, after multiple repair attempts, the original flooring problem remains unresolved, our home has sustained additional damage, and we have been unable to get a response from the owner. I am sharing our experience because prospective customers deserve to know that a beautiful renovation is only part of the equation. What matters just as much is how a company treats you when something goes wrong. We invested a significant amount of money and trust into our first home. We trusted Tony and Capital Flooring to do the job correctly and, when there was a problem, to stand behind their work. Sadly, that has not been our experience. Tony, I sincerely hope you see this review and choose to contact us. We are not looking for an argument or to damage your business. We have been trying to resolve this with you for months. We simply want the flooring issue corrected and the damage caused during the most recent repair addressed.
