I usually count on Milestone's for a good meal, but this location is one of the weakest I've visited. I stopped in for lunch with an associate. We were promptly seated in the bar and proceeded to order. I tried the Grilled Sirloin at $26. It was surprisingly chewy and lacking in flavour. I used a lot of salt that day. The meal included a few (equally chewy) green beans, and several chunks of roasted potatoes. I kept looking out the window at the new Keg, wishing that they opened for lunch. read more

This is by far one of the best restaurant chains out there. I am never disappointed. First off, all of our food was amazing. Even the chicken wings and calamari were escalated to a fantastic height. I could've literally ate them all day long. They've done such a great job at balancing the flavours in their dishes so that every single bite is just a good as the last! Also, our server was just delightful :) . He was quick, friendly and funny, and that's just about the best combination of character traits to have as a waiter :) . I would definitely love to eat here next time I'm in Barrie! read more

My water was murky and had stuff floating in it. I asked 3 times for new ones and they were all full of crumbs and stuff. This head waiter looking guy whips around a door way, almost bumps into me and spills a bit of each drink on his trey. He doesn't apologize or say anything after I apologized. I ordered a steak rare. Came out cold with no taste of grilling with some very sad green beans and onion. I asked for sweet potato fries instead of mashed and the waitress gave no indication it was an extra charge. Then offered mushrooms or shrimp skewer as if they were included. I didn't notice until later that my bill for 2 people with one small appetizer calamari $14.50!, no alcohol, dessert, coffee. a $3.50 soda water! The total bill was $99.44! plus the generous %15 tip I gave even though she did not check in once, and our plates with chewed grissol sat in front of us for at least 10 min. I feel ripped off. Head office did reply promptly with a gift card which was a good gesture. read more

Went for a work lunch today with two colleagues. Two had burgers and one had a soup and a salad. California burger was like 10/10 good. Burger itself was juicy and flavourful I liked it a lot ! Everyone else ate everything so I'm assuming it was good. The beet and goat cheese salad looked good too but it didn't look like a large portion for a meal. I frequently eat at the Milestones in Barrie. The Service is good, and the place is very clean. I typically order the Mediterranean Chicken. It is delicious. That is what I had again today. I enjoy the soft cheese and the chickpeas. It is also drizzled with a nice balsamic dressing. The thing I really like about this place is that they make the dish special for me as I have some food issues. I can't have gluten. It is really a large meal, and very filling. Oddly enough, it is the one dish that I really enjoy, even though it has kale in it. It's the one place I eat and enjoy the kale. I often take friends with me, or have lunch meetings at Milestones because I know that I don't have to worry about the quality of the food, and I know that there is always something for other people to eat as well. read more

Nice physical space, typical for the franchise. Service, however is rough.... Waited 10 minutes after being seated for a drink order, and waited 20 minutes for a bill after they closed us out. Advised them they had forgotten to bring a beer ordered midway through dinner, the response was, "Okay sir, we won't charge you for it..." Ummmm, okay great. Having only been open a couple of weeks at the time of the visit, I am prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt... but wil likely select another of the growing number of local restaurants on my way through town next time. read more

We eat at this restaurant quite frequently. The food is always full of flavour and the service is excellent. When we do have a problem, our concerns are always addressed immediately. Great staff, better management. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for better than average food, with great service. read more

took my girlfriend out for her birthday and let me tell you, in the 24 years of eating at restaurants i've never seen such a disaster service, from the waiter to the food. first it took almost a whole year to get a chicken parm and a steak which shouldn't take a long time. had to send the chicken parm back, the noodles were ice cold and seemed to be sitting out for so long, as well as the vegetables on the side. the waiter was a nice guy but seemed to be in experienced when it came to his job. i had to stop another waitress walking by after nearly 10 minuets of us sitting there for me to ask for the food to be taken back, 20 minuets later our waiter asked how everything was. he didn't seem to be on the ball at all; i've seen busy restaurants before on a saturday night, but this was inexcusable. never going back to that crap hole again read more

My favourite place to eat in Barrie. The food is absolutely delicious. We have always been extremely happy with anything we have ever ordered. The Risotto balls are to die for and the squash ravioli is so fresh and tasteful - love this place! Mondays are girls night out - $40 for 4 Belinni's and 4 appetizers. You can't beat that! read more

Good service. I came in for a late lunch/early dinner with my husband. We were given free bread and butter which is new for Milestones. My only complaint was that the temperature was too cold for even a nice summer day. This makes the food cold right away. I ordered the meatloaf and my fiancé had the penne. The meatloaf was huge, had a bit of sour taste. I don't remember it tasting strange. The meatloaf was part of their 25 years anniversary. Not impressed. I did have the Caesar which was amazing. I love coming here with my boyfriend. I feel like we've become regulars because this is one of the only places that we actually look forward to coming. The staff is so sweet every single time, especially Jessie (I think that's her name). I love that the manager sometimes comes around to each table to introduce herself, super professional. We arrived at 5:30 pm on a Saturday. It was at capacity. First thing we noticed was the noise. We had Prime Rib and Braised Short Ribs. The meal was served promptly and arrived hot. The ribs were tasty and the prime rib was great as usual. We had the decade duo. Again, a winner. Their Mighty Leaf tea is a very good premium tea. Service was great, food was great. But I would not return. It was too noisy, and that affected our enjoyment. Try the Newmarket location instead, especially if you want more of a quiet dining environment. read more

My wife and I enjoy going out for dinner. Our visit to Milestones was a last minute decision. Very pleased that we chose not to wait for a table at Lonestar Café. Chris our waiter was pleasant and efficient. No waiting at our table for someone to acknowledge our presence. Took our drink order and was back quickly. We passed on appetizers and immediately ordered entrées. My wife chose the Filet Mignon and I the Prime Rib. What seemed only.minutes our meals were at the table. Have to say that both of us agree that we were very impressed. Cooked to perfection. And very tasty. One of the best meals we've ever experienced at a restaurant. Bravo! read more

Let's start off with the drinks. I ordered the Mojito... I said to make it a double. They interpreted that as two Mojitos in one cup. I then ordered a glass of Merlot, it was Jackson Triggs (I'm not complaining) but open for while. I just bit the bullet and let it go. I decided to order the calamari and a side Cesar salad. Dry, shoe string calamari, obviously old expired croutons and soggy lettuce. I let that go as well. For my main I ordered the steak with frites paired with Parmesan fries. First of all I do not blame the chef nor staff. They are given certain materials to deal with and do their best to do so. That being said that steak I called "bubble gum steak" on account of the chewiness. I sent that back. I then ordered the chicken parm, because how can you mess that up. Oh they found a way with some sort of vinaigrette on top of the tomato sauce... I took two bites and asked for my bill and for him to wrap it up. My server was amazing, he was super apologetic as if he controls the the kitchen. It was sweet. I tipped him well. I decided years ago to never visit another Milestones and will continue to stay true to that. read more

READ ENTIRE REVIEW! - waited for the host for 10 minutes to even be noticed/we were going to leave by the time he showed up - complained to waitress, she offered a free app that we ended up having to pay for anyway! - took forever to get the food - my alcoholic beverage was so strong, I had to pour my husbands pop into it twice - food was horrible! - salmon was burnt outside, undercooked inside - rice and vegetables were almost raw - steak was ordered medium, served rare - Our friends meal was burnt as well - The waitress brings us a dessert we never ordered that we were BOTH allergic to - She then gets upset we refused it - Then we get our bill for $130! - They charged us for our free app even after saying something about it - Also, we were served someone else's food TWICE! A friend, and I, had dinner at your restaurant on Friday, January 5th (last night), and I have to say that for the first time I was disappointed in the meal I ordered. The last time I was there, which was about a month ago, I had the beef sandwich with French fries served with beef juice for dipping. The last time I had this the beef was cooked to perfection and I savoured every bite. This time, my first bite produced a piece of hard grizzle which I politely attempted to chew and then had to give up and place it on my plate. A had a couple of good bites, and then the next one was nothing but a large piece of fat. This really took my appetite away and I ate only about a 1/4 of my French fries. The young lady who served us was wonderful, and polite, so I didn't want to ruin her evening (or that of my friend) by complaining about my sandwich. I have to say, honestly, this has been my only bad experience at this restaurant, but felt I had to mention it so the chef would know this happened. read more
