My gripe is with the OWNER who catered to a particular table (mind you it was only about 10 people in the entire lounge.) When we opened the replacement pack, two of the biscottis fell short: (1) one biscotti was half-size, not full size; (2) second biscotti was perhaps 2/3 in size, not full size. Don't they weigh the pack before it gets sealed? Apparently, they do not. And, the chocolate chunk coloration varied. We are concerned that the quality of the ingredients being used now falls short compared to what we experienced a year ago. How in the world can a biscotti having "anise" named in the flavor title have no anise taste at all! It's not worth spending $10. for their single-pack any longer when compared to less expensive Italian-made biscottis available at the grocer, even if their biscottis are larger in size. I'm just thinking that nearly $90 was a lot. The small pan of rice held appx 10-12 cups of cooked rice. Just thinking maybe because I'm white I got charged a lot more? The same size pan of rice and beans at El Primo costs me $25. That includes the side of beans.

Long story short I got a phone call the next day saying they put balloons on the cake. Didn't read the notes that it needed to be changed. Told me it would be difficult to change the balloons but would do it if I really wanted, obviously I said it's fine... So got the cake it was red white and blue but it looked like my 11 year-old daughter decorated it. The balloons were so small I easily could've scraped them off and put some fire crackers. Either way, it can be a little hectic if you pull into the lot during a busy hour as it can be tricky to wait or navigate around other people trying to back out of their spot. This place feels like a time capsule. Everything appears old fashioned and unchanged in the 13+ years I've been coming here. The large glass windows lets in a lot of natural light if you decide to stay in and eat. I've always had lovely interactions with all of the staff here. As expected the bagels here are top tier. I will admit I'm no bagel expert or snob, but even my amateur experience can recognize these guys sell bagels many quality tiers above store-bought bagels. My go-to item to get here is actually their Chicken Salad Club Panini. The bread is perfectly toasted, the raw onions have a great bite to them, the bacon adds more texture and saltiness and the tangy honey mustard ties it all together to make one of my most favorite sandwiches. Another treat I love to get is their Pistachio Muffin microwaved with butter. It is heavenly, as are a lot of their other muffins.
