Prepared a delightful gluten free cannoli cake for a birthday - beautiful to see and wonderful taste!

Gerardo's is a nice compliment to Bolton Orchards store. They offer a nice variety of cakes, cookies and pastries in addition to a limited supply of pizza squares. My favorite cakes are Italian Cream Ganache and Buttercream. Strawberry cakes is awesome as well. They basically offer everything the full sized Gerardo's location have including special orders. read more

Small bakery in the back corner of the Bolton Orchards store. I'm not familiar with the Gerardo's chain so not sure how this ranks in terms of other locations. This location had a small display. Maybe a 6' glass display of cookies as well as a smalll table with cakes. The employees were a bit indifferent. 2 women behind the counter. Chit chatting away. Unable to acknowledge my existence, then jumping 3' in the air when I spoke. I ended up buying a turkey cookie for my kid. All it was was a round sugar cookie with a crap load of frosting on top. Nothing special. Overly sweet. Overpriced. I could have easily made it myself- better tasting and better looking. read more

I have always been able to get cakes or whatever I needed.. The past few times I have gone there to order a cake I have been given excuses as to why they can not do something... The young woman I dealt with was rude and condescending. I am trying to order special cake and I have been told they are only doing simple basic cakes... I told her it was for a special occasion, her response was we can't do it.. I was told take it or leave it.. I left it... I will find someplace where they treat customers better read more

Used these folks for our wedding. Met the owner at their main location. Wanted to stay local and not use one of the cookie cutter mega bakeries known for weddings. We went over the pros and cons of looks versus taste. Gets involved actually. Anyway we had a beautiful wedding at Fruitlands in Still River,Mass. We couldn't have asked for more but our cake was nothing like what we had ordered visually . We actually had them take it out back as it was so damn butt ugly. Looked like plastic. Complained to the owner but he never responded. Go figure. Never again read more

I came in with an idea for a custom order of cupcakes. The girl who I spoke to took me aside and worked with me on designing my idea. The cupcakes were amazing. I also got a fruit tart and a raspberry cake for my order. Everyone at the birthday dinner went nuts over how good everything was. Even the wait staff kept walking by in awe over how beautiful the deserts were. I gave the left over cakes to my friends to take home after the dinner and everyone was ecstatic over taking it home to share with their families. read more

I was so confused and couldn't find this location, but its actually inside the Bolton Orchard Market. There is a little sign on the front entrance for Gerardo's but if you are captain oblivious like me, then it would be easy to miss, especially if dark out. Go to the back right corner of the market ( awesome place if you've never been) and there is a small dessert counter and cake display. You can order the same things here as any of the other locations, however this one seems to be a bit slower, and smaller in capacity. At the end of a long crappy day I occasionally stop in here on my way home to see what they have left for cakes. Sadly the choices left are limited but that doesn't mean you won't get a great cake! Gerardo's as a chain if you will, has been around long enough to earn my kudos in weight of delicious ricotta cannoli fillings. Absolutely delicious and fresh sweet cream frosting on most of the cakes offered here. They only need 24 hours notice for 99% of their vast and exotic cake menu and they really do make any adjustments you'd like. I really hate it when people run to the grocery store for a special occasion cake at the office. It makes a terrible impression on guests. I always come here or another good bakery in town, but usually come to Gerardo's for a smaller crowd as they can be kinda pricey. Either way don't leave without trying a box of mini cannoli's. Just seriously get one of each. The oreo and tiramisu ones would likely be on my last meal list. Great spot to stop in and grab a pastry too - and cookies! They have all of the italian shortbread cooKies and other yums for about $10 /lb. Really that is such a deal.. UGH I want one now. They don't have hot coffee but they did add a nice beverage case with all kinds of water, soda, energy drinks, Starbucks drinks and juices. For about the same money you can get a lobster tail filled with the most delightful Italian creme for $2. The store itself does have hot coffee to go I believe. It seems like every time I come its busy, but thats always a good sign and I don't mind waiting for the delicious treats in store. read more

The baked good are pretty good. But man, some of the people working here have the worst attitude . I think it's only the Gerardo's deli and bakery people. But I've never had a pleasant experience getting a sandwich here. One time when I was super pregnant, I had to ask a woman 3 times for help at the coffee counter while she stared at her phone. Then she told me she works at the deli and proceeded to stay on her phone. I was pretty upset. Nevertheless, the donuts on Saturday and Sunday morning are absolutely amazing. read more

This is the second time I've been to this location to get some goodies at the bakery. The first time I was surprised that the delicious-looking food tasted gross! I wondered if it was just a bad taste bud day or maybe the bakery had an off day. But I stopped by again today and I should have been deterred by the flies that were ALL over the place but I guess I had my heart set on something tasty. I bought a few whoopie pies and a few connoli. I cut into a whoopie pie on the way home and the cream filling tasted freezer-burned! Ick! That's the worst! I will say that the mini connoli tasted fresh but I can't get over the disgusting freezer taste and the flies! I won't be back at the bakery counter any time soon! read more

Hands down, Gerardo's makes the best gluten free birthday cake I have ever had. It is a special order item, but we pick up at Bolton Orchards, so it is very easy. Most gluten free cake options elsewhere range from really awful to adequately edible, but this is seriously GOOD. Even friends and family members who don't avoid gluten think it is delicious. This is my go-to bakery for cakes for any celebration, and I am thrilled I found them. read more
