Awesome club. Multiple rooms plus an arcade. Great atmosphere -- really inclusive. Saw all sorts, all ages -- everyone having fun and dancing. The rooms are pretty spacious. I've been to their Wednesday Goth night twice now... once on Halloween. The latter was pretty packed in the bar and bathroom areas but there were still empty couches and ample space to hang out. Love that there's no cover on Wednesdays. Not sure about other nights. Great drink specials too! read more

We have a love/hate relationship with Milk. Several years ago, before COVID, this was the BEST club in Colorado, if not America. New management and new security staff changed that, dramatically, for the worst. Add to that equation an entirely new group of patrons running this place into the toilet. The influx of annoying hipsters was first. Next was all the obnoxious weed tourists from out of state. Now a notorious hip hop club Downtown that was shut down has all their troublemaking patrons coming here. They let ANYONE in, even filthy crazy hobos, even when the club is a hundred patrons over capacity. No-one is wanded or patted down, bags are not searched, often I see patrons inside the club wearing literal backpacks. You could walk in here with an AK under your coat and nobody cares. It is a madhouse. No rules apply. I love the overall layout of the club with multiple rooms, each with their own DJ. 3 rooms to choose from here and we love that. Music and sound systems are great. They clean the restrooms twice a month whether they need it or not, and sometimes they actually mop the sticky dance floor. If you come here, the rules are: always bring friends; nobody offering you drugs or an afterparty is your friend, and leave before 0100 because everyone turns into a pumpkin at 0130... a violent meth fueled pumpkin. We've seen so many brawls in that alley when they throw everyone out at 0130... and the stabbings and shootings occur around 0200... so leave well before closing and immediately remove yourself from that block because it's unsafe... between the crazed hobos, the angry gangbangers, and the tweakers you are gonna have a bad day if you loiter in that alley. Inside the club itself we've seen a few fights over the years, and a girl we know got raped in the ladies room once a few years back, but inside the club is relatively safe. Just check yourself, don't get too wasted, don't get dosed, don't accept rides from strangers, leave before 0100, BE POLITE, and you'll have a good time. We rarely come here anymore. We miss the old Milk. We miss Suze and Doug, Eric and Miquel, even Brandon. Most of our favorite people stopped coming too. Makes me sad. read more

This isn't so much a review of Milk as it is of one particular bartender. He's bald and covered in tattoos (including his head); also he's a prick--he's easy to pick out. I ordered two well gin and tonics (not that hard to make) from him on a bustling Friday night and tipped him $1. Mind you, I had already ordered a previous round and tipped more on that, so I figured a buck was fine. This dude hands me back my tip and says "clearly you need this more than I do." Say what you will about the amount of my tip, but a tip is a tip and I don't think there's really any reason to be that rude to a patron because you felt like you didn't get tipped enough. Apparently I'm not the only person who has made a review because of this guy. Ordinarily I like Milk, but they should probably take look at how their bar staff treats people. read more

There is an arcade but that's about it. Sometimes there are dancers but it's extremely scary in the bar, and it's always crowded. There isn't much food and the drinks smell funny. They encourage dancing rather than dining which gets in the way of things. read more

my friends and i went to milk back in may, & we didn't know what to expect since we're from the springs but it was so cool. we did arrive around 9 and it didn't get busy until 11, which was no problem. we all loved the new wave part of the club and the drinks were great! the pop area was really fun (though crowded), and the top floor was the best thing to sit around and drunk ramble to each other before going back inside. overall, would go again!!! read more

Milk is just an incredible spot. I may be a few years removed from my party days, but I'll never forget the feeling of stumbling upon a place just like Milk. These kinds of places just don't exist like they used to. First, the entrance is generally unmarked and in a back alley. That's dope. Anytime a bar can look not like a bar from the outside, it's a major plus. That's because it makes it even cooler when you get inside and realize there are goddamn levels to this shit. Three rooms, each with its own music theme: the night we went it was 80s, indie rock, and 90s hip hop and R&B. There's also a game room, which some of our group checked out while the rest of us got down in the hip hop room. Each room had its own bar and the lighting was either sufficient or not sufficient depending on the experience it was trying to create. Again, this is a classic experience that reminds me of some of the hidden gems we used to find back in the day, which were no doubt aping the actual real thing back in the 80s and 90s. Think of a clone of a clone, but in the best way possible. This was our third stop of the night and also our last, so were already quite a bit toasted when we arrived. Coat check in the front, and at some point while we were already inside they started charging a cover. We stuck mainly to the hip hop/R&B room, and the DJ was dropping some deep cuts which I always appreciate. A couple 112 songs, a little Janet, and a fair amount of radio hits but everything was pretty much pre-1998. It was a good night and the places we hit up were all winners, so I can't be too ashamed that we didn't get to Milk sooner. I would love to be back again some time in the future. read more

This place is super sketchy , don't come here , they act very weird when you walk in , we came at like 12am and they let us in but after we got in they kept staring at us and kept making it seem like it was a problem we were there , the staff is not friendly , the owner is not friendly , definitely don't recommend . Its a waste of time and money . We ordered a drink and the bartender had to go ask the owner if it was ok to serve us . We paid $46 for 2 drinks that we had to chug because all the staff was looking at us like we didn't belong there . I've never felt so uncomfortable at a bar . Please don't come here . read more

Came here last night for the monthly Repent event, and was NOT disappointed. Milk is a nice, cozy venue with quite a unique, burlesque-y feel to it. Last night was A.mazing. It was my first time here, and everyone was super cool and super welcoming. I was made to feel right at home. Much, much love to the GORGEOUS bartender and co-host, Desirae; she was amazing. I love this place. It has a room that plays 1980's New Wave and another room that plays Goth/Industrial. Come dressed to be comfortable wether it is your every day dress or your weekend fun fare. You always feel welcome here and the bartenders are great. As a woman I never feel unsafe going there alone. Milk is my happy place. There's nothing better than Friday Indie Dance Night. It's easy to dance my face off until 2am with the good music. There are several rooms to choose from with a variety of music, an arcade room (I always bring plenty of quarters to blow on Skeeball), several bars, and a smoking patio. In my opinion, Milk is the best night club in Denver. It has a lot of different rooms and each one has its own unique theme. There are a retro room, a green room, and an underground room. Home, techno, goth, 80s, 90s and retro music are played here. The drinks are affordable and well made. The staff is friendly and always kind. If you are Skee-Ball fan, the basement is loaded with arcade games. By the way, it was invented in 1909! Great place to go on Saturday night! Take some friends and have a fun time! read more

Four our large friend group, MILK's definitely one of our go-to spots for drinking, dancing, game-playing and taking in the atmosphere. The various rooms are themed differently and span across multiple floors. There's a red room lined with surrounding couches/lounge areas, an 80's room with lights and arcade games, a techno & laser light room, rooftop canopy dancing, disco light room, etc. They vary, but you'll find people here of all ages embracing their identities and having a good time. It's a welcoming environment and I always have a great time with my friends here. Drinks are relatively pricy, but it's pretty much the standard for the area and Denver nightclubs in general. I recommend coming here after you've already had a few, so you're not blowing money at the multitude of bars inside, plus the weekend $5 for entry. This was a very good find in Denver. We went on the Wednesday night which was the Kath night. When we first got there, which was quite on the early side there were only a few people dancing, about one in each room. It was hard for me to tell if they were just guess of the club or were actually people who work there who are supposed to help get people dancing on the dance floor. One guy had this crazy electronic digital light up hula hoop. Another guy was often wearing a face mask. I like that they were separate rooms with different music so that you really had a choice of which bar or which dance or you wanted to hang out on. Overall I found the styles really interesting and different from what people wear in New York City golf clubs. Specifically there were a lot of people in high boots that were very furry! read more

Milk bar is the best night out in this city. I love all the variation in the different rooms. You've got this bumpin' electro room, the new wave room which will satisfy every 80s dance need you have and then of course the signature industrial room, where we can all let that freak flag fly. The video game room in the back is great for your friends who are still warming up to the concept of bumpin' up against chicks with black umbrellas or the dude in the sexy cop costume. The drinks are nothing special, but they ARE affordable. The bartenders are always kind. The bathrooms are cleaner than you'd expect and the smoking patio is so great. I've only ever found a deep level of acceptance from people of all walks. Go. Bring your friends. Bust out the black lipstick and leather. Have a fucking blast. read more

One room place things like Depeche Mode 80's music, so a little darker. The other room place more industrial music. Drinks are a good price and well made. We went on a Tuesday. It was absolutely dead and half the rooms were closed off, which is fine but I don't know why they expect to survive on $5 cover and $10-11 for basic well drinks. The worst part? The only room with somewhat of a dance floor smelled RANCID. It hits the second you walk in and doesn't go away. it permeated even the desolate parts of the room with no people. It was definitely a problem with the building and not just someone in the crowd who forgot deodorant. I threw up in my mouth a little and spit it in a trash can.
