Fries, Popcorn Chicken, Ube Milk Tea

Pretty nice addition to Concord! Milk Tea Lab just recently opened and the staff is very friendly. There's a couple of tables inside too and they had some good music playing on their speakers. For the drink, I got a large ube milk tea which was almost as big as my head Pretty good value for how huge it was and I shared it with my wife too along with the food. The ube milk tea was good, I actually like powdered ube which is what I think they use rather than taro which is too earthy. The boba was soft and made well too. Foe the fries, there were a lot but there was literally no seasoning and I think the outside of the fries were still too soft. Definitely could be crispier on the outside since the fries are already soft on the inside, more time in the fryer would've helped here. Luckily I brought everything home so I just seasoned the fries with salt when I got home. For the popcorn chicken, I got it mild spicy and again, it didn't have a lot of flavor. Even my wife agreed and she can't even handle the tiniest hint of spice. Even the spicy mayo sauce that came with it tasted pretty plain and was not spicy at all. Chicken pieces were pretty inconsistent too, some pieces were bite size and then I would end up seeing full on chicken strip size pieces. Also, some of the pieces had large pieces of cartilage so I think the chicken needed to but cut and prepped better. Overall, pretty decent spot and the service and people working are really nice. The drink was good! I just don't think I'd come back for the food but that's just my opinion.

I absolutely love their drinks and popcorn chicken! The beverages here are top-notch and incredibly refreshing. The shop exudes a laid-back vibe, with board games for all ages, making it a fun and welcoming place. It's clean and well maintained and the owners are super friendly! I tried the Ube latte and the tiger milk tea boba, both of which were perfect 10/10! I'll definitely be coming back!

I have been to the pleasant hill location but concord makes them better. This is a newer location way up almost Clayton border but worth it. Ube milk tea was delicious.

I've been very frustrated with my past few experiences of Milk Tea Lab. I'm honestly very disappointed because this used to be my favorite Boba place to go to. The only reason why I am even giving two stars and not one is because- all of the workers here are always very nice. But unfortunately, my past few visits have not been. I used to always order a spam musubi and a green tea when I would come to this location, and ask for a side of Sriracha. They just recently started saying that they can't give me Sriracha anymore and that they have to charge me for it if I want it? This doesn't make much sense considering if I need any other kind of sauce, for instance: sweet-and-sour sauce, I'm not going to get charged for it. The same needs to go for the Sriracha sauce. Just provide packets for the customers. No one is going to buy the sauce too when they are already paying for a $6 spam musubi and an $8 drink... Also- I was even lucky to be able to go inside of this place and order anything because this place is never open! I noticed this has been an ongoing issue ever since this location popped up here. They do not follow their regular business hours that are posted online. This is extremely frustrating to customers, especially when they are planning out their visit. Just putting a piece of paper on the door saying that you guys are going to be closed or you guys are going on vacation or whatever is not enough to let customers know. It needs to be posted online on the business hours, that way people know ahead of time before they even drive down there. I'm sure others do this as well, but I always look online first before I go to a restaurant to make sure that they are open because I do not want to spend my time even driving out there in the first place for no reason. So please update your online business hours! It's not like this is only happened to me once or twice. It has happened to me at least 5 times that I can count. It's almost like this place is closed more than it is actually open, which is so confusing. I don't really understand how they stay open at this point. I won't be back here unless these issues are worked on and something is done about them. Because at this point, it is a complete waste of my time continuously giving them chance after chance, driving all the way down there just for them to be closed every single time. Please fix this issue or you will continue to drive away customers.

I came here for the first time since they reopened under (what I assume) new ownership. There was a car meet that morning so they were open at 11am, an hour before they usually open. The inside is very clean, and aesthetic with neon lights and arcade games. I could tell the cashier was new and nervous, but he was still friendly and another employee was patient with helping him out. I ordered the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea 50% sweet with boba- it was amazing. From the taste of the roasted tea, to the boba consistency, they got it down and I approve!

I am beyond thrilled I stumbled upon this little gem today!! I got to meet one of the owners and he was just the nicest person to talk to about the shop and the drinks/food. I was so hungry and was craving for good popcorn chicken which is a bit hard to find since most places I've tried old and new are usually too dry for me. I absolutely LOVE the popcorn chicken here! I ended up eating almost the whole thing before even getting home. The house special secret sauce reminded me of Chick-Fil-A's sauce but better! Idk how that's even possible but wow! I had the mango lover and absolutely loved it! Perfect for an extra hot day like today. Really like drinks with fruit chunks in them and this drink did not disappoint!!! Will definitely start taking a little detour between work and home to come back here to try the other drinks/food and recommending this place to everyone I know!

The boba was so soft and not too sweet. Great service, creative flavors, cute aesthetic for pics, claw machines and games. Forgot to take a pic of my drink but it was really good.

KM, Kelsey and Chris were such a great team for our huge corporate event! We had to feed over 500 people with their respective boba choices and the team did not disappoint! They were early, had delicious boba, cute goodies and also served professionally and quickly to ensure our summit attendees got their bobas in a timely manner! Usually boba drinks run out but they were able to feed extras and even did so after they lost a bucket of milk tea due to an accidental spill earlier in the day. All our guests were happy and so were we! Could not recommend more, would book again 11/10!!

My first time here, I have to say the food is awesome! So awesome that I didn't even get to take a picture as I intended before eating it all. As you can tell, all the food is almost gone. -Large Lychee Longan, Very refreshing. I love how there's lychee popping boba. Not too sweet either and I got it with the regular sugar content. -the empty box is where I had potstickers which I ate all. Came with 8 pieces, which I believe was a good price. -Shrimp tempura as well was really good with the tempura sauce it came with. -Curly fries & spam musubi was good and tasted very fresh. -Popcorn chicken was sooooo good! It came with their house special sauce and I bought extra spicy mayo. Both sauces went well with it but I like the smokey flavor of the house special sauce with it. - STRAWBERRY CHURROS! Such a good dessert paired with my drink. -place is very clean as well. Good amount of seating area. -cute merchandise too! Ultimately, I will definitely come back when I am around the around. Good value for the food. The owners were very welcoming and nice! Made my experience here so worth it!

I discovered this place through Concord Comfort Food week and I'm so happy I did. I'm new to Boba so I don't have much experience taste wise but I'll go off on a limb here and say this is one of the best! Ordered the Mango Lovers and the Passion Fruit 10/10

Friendly service. I ordered the berry lover. I can't have milk, so they offered to substitute oat milk and blend the drink for me. The drink was delicious and refreshing!

Our son loves this place. He wants to go every day. They have a great variety of teas and delicious Asian snack foods. We visit Tea Lab several times a week. The owners are wonderful as well. Super friendly. The store is nicely decorated with cozy sofas and tables.

    Cute boba keychains!

I had attempted to come once before in the past, but they were strangely closed during operating hours for some undisclosed reason that day. Located in a corner lot with private parking, this cozy cafe offers a decent selection of boba, smoothies and snacks. And there is plenty of indoor seating if you want to stay and enjoy your meal. I went for my usual go-to for my visit, Passion Fruit Green Tea w/ boba. The drink was nice and sweet, and the boba had a good consistency to it. Being conveniently close to Costco, I plan to make this my go-to boba stop moving forward during my Costco runs.

A lot of Yelpers have said the female owner is sweet and I can definitely agree with this. She let me use the bathroom key without hesitation even when I wasn't going to order anything originally (my bf was going to order) and adjusted my drink to my preferences. I don't normally like mango, but saw raving reviews on the Mango Peach Strawberry Smoothie (at least 3 5 stars on this drink) and knew I wanted to try it since it was a super humid day. I asked if she could adjust my drink to include less mango and she accommodated my needs happily without complaint. One sip of my smoothie and I was like "dang, this is pretty good!". I'm glad I tried this place! Thank you Breaktime Tea for a positive first time experience during my vacation :)

This was my first time visiting them again since the ownership change so it's been a minute. What I see here now is just depressing, not just because the place was empty, but it's now devoid of anything that felt like a spot someone would want to hangout at. No music, when I got in there was one person waiting for their food and nobody was even at the front counter for minutes before somebody finally came out from the back. Ordering is just through the kiosk now, which isn't a bad thing. The part that was really rough was the reason why I even came here; the boba. I got a regular milk tea which now they only have a single size. I miss the extra large size they used to have, but oh well. The next issue comes with how much the boba actually costs. They may have gotten rid of the extra large cup sizes, but they're still charging the almost the same amount for it in a much smaller cup. What a deal, right? And we get to the actual drink. When the person making the drink after receiving your order finishes within a minute of making it, it's never a good sign. Why is that? Well, they had premade jug of milk tea ready to pour out for your tasting pleasure. When you have a premade jug of milk tea, it's never a good sign. While I've had them at other places that have done this before, and it's ranged from bad to mediocre, the one here at Milk Tea Lab, now, was in a word, rancid. It was incredibly gross with absolutely no redeeming qualities to it. I generally try not to be so harsh, but this was really not it and I couldn't even finish the boba because of how bad the milk tea was. It's sad to see how big of a dropoff this spot has become compared to what it used to be. This isn't like when they first opened where there were only 2-3 boba spots right next to them. Now there's at least a handful of options within a few minutes away, and dozens of spots within a mile or two, and this is what they're pushing out? It's a shame but this Milk Tea Lab which was their starter store is no longer a place I would ever go back to for boba. It's time is now past with this new ownership.

She must've misheard me when I said, oat milk, cause she started using whole milk after I ordered. I told her I have dairy sensitivities. And she said that is the only milk that she had. But this was after I paid for the drink... i've never had a problem at other locations with no other dairy options. ...there was also barely any Boba and half the drink was red bean. Very disappointed. I must've been fourth in line after a family, and three other customers were served before me. If you have dairy sensitivity, DO NOT come here. I do not recommend it. Probably not coming back here again.
