First time there yesterday. The location is convenient since its next to KMART. I know yall thinking, "who shops at KMART?". I DO. Anyways this place is okay. I ordered a large roasted milk tea with "honey" boba. Nothing honey about them, just regular boba. Howver were soft and jelly. Can tell they aren't old. But the large is huge! It should be called size XL instead. Honestly could have shared with my boyfriend. The flavor was lacking. It can definitely be stronger. I also ordered the popcorn chicken & lab fries. The popcorn chicken was regular, kind of on the smaller size. The lab fries were bomb. I did really like these, but you have to eat them fresh. Overall it is cool. It wouldn't be my first choice but will eventually come back. read more

This review is solely based on our interaction with the workers and their service. I will say the drink itself is good. I like Milk Tea Lab, they have good drinks with a good variety to their menu. However, at this location, my bf and I did not have a good experience. The staff was not friendly or welcoming. When it came to getting our drink they handed it to us and as we walked to our car my bf held the drink at the top and it kinda pinched together as he put it into the cup holder. That's when we realized the plastic seal didn't fully seal all around the cup. There was a couple of openings which resulted in our drink to spill out. My bf went back in and asked to have it resealed. We already lost a portion of our drink as it spilled out and the worker there did not even apologize or anything. Just took the drink, resealed it and handed it back. It was like they were mute. It was strange and off putting. Definitely won't return to this location, solely based off the service and attitude of the staff. read more

Pros: The tea was delicious and the service was great and very helpful! They have fun add ons too. Cons: The music being customizable probably sounds like a good idea. But since the music could be adjusted by patrons, some teens were changing the songs they were blasting every few seconds - just long enough to dance for a snap. Okay. Let's see. Where to begin. I've been to the pleasant Hill location because of their hours but was driving in this side of town so we decided to stop in. Didn't have high expectations because I didn't have a great experience at the other location, but wow that was a poor assumption. Josiah was extremely helpful and kind. Not to be judgemental but usually when the workers are young the service is horrible, but he was so nice! He took time to explain the menu to us and let us try some things before ordering to help us decide. Probably the best service I've gotten at any boba shop and I've been to a million lol. Okay not a million but a lot. He and the other worker, sorry didn't catch your name, were so helpful and friendly. Anyway, we're so excited to welcome Milk Tea Lab to our neighborhood, a cute little place with yummy snacks, cool drinks, and board games for us to enjoy. In terms of flavor, we can't speak for all because everyone's preference is different. But our favorites so far is the Mango Lover, Honey Roasted Milk Tea, and my kids love those Tonic drinks. I love that we can adjust the sugar level to most drinks so we don't have to feel bad for in taking too much sugar . You know that means we'll be frequently coming. Staff are very friendly, my son is going to get his school permit when school starts and see if he can get a few hours of work here if they need ppl. Praise be, I'm so glad that you guys are open till 2am. Every time i crave late night boba either after work or a night out with friends we always come here. Service is super nice and i love that you guys have games in the lobby to play with. Also a good spot to study because of the wifi and late hours for finals week! Good tea, terrible customer service. They sealed one of our drinks improperly and when we got to our car the seal just busted open and spilled our drink everywhere. The other drinks we bought were just fine. When I went in and asked to get it remade they said they wouldn't do it and we had to wait in line and pay for our drink again. writing this review isn't something i really wanted to do but i feel like it's only fair to let people know because i wouldn't want it to happen to anyone else. i am a huge fan of the pleasant hill milk tea lab and have been for the past few years and they have never disappointed me. i live around thirty minutes away but on DoorDash milk tea lab concord was available for delivery so i decided to treat myself and make a large order to surprise my family! i paid extra for additional topics on three of the drinks but ordered four drinks in total and an order of popcorn chicken and one of their lab fries. my order was confirmed quickly and this was on a Wednesday afternoon and they did not to seem busy. my order arrived and i was excited to surprise my family with their drinks but i noticed there was a whole drink missing and when i looked closer two of the drinks i ordered were also missing additional toppings i paid for. i immediately reported to DoorDash and they gave me a partial refund but I wasn't upset, it was just frustrating because my sister was the one who helped me choose everything for the surprise and she didn't even get her drink plus my drink and my dads were made wrong. i called milk tea lab to let them know and helen offered me a free drink to make up for it but i live far so i told her i don't think i could come that day but i would see if i could. i then went to enjoy my popcorn chicken and it was hard and brown. when i tried to bite into it it would almost not break about and then it was rubbery. even my dad who eats literally anything was wondering what happened to the chicken. i felt bad but i called again and let Helen know about the chicken and that I wouldn't be able to make it in for the free drink but thanked her and just wanted to let her know that there was another small problem. she immediately got defensive and cut me off while I was talking saying, "no. No. No. See I made that batch, I did it myself and I've been doing it for a while and nobody has complained so I don't know what you want me to say about the chicken. Have you had it before!? " I let her know I have had it and I'm not sure what happened I just wanted to let her know but she continued defending herself and her chicken skills and said if I didn't want to come in for my free drink today I could come in another time and kept talking but wouldn't listen so I hung up. I tried to be as kind as I could because I know working in the service industry can be frustrating but this was a deeply disappointing experience and a free drink and even a full refund would not be worth the disappointment this experience caused me. read more

We've gone to this boba place in the past, and it has delicious drinks. My entire family love the drinks and look forward to having boba treats on Saturdays. The owner is friendly and provides good customer service. However, we had a frustrating experience this Saturday. The business advertises its hours as closing at 7 pm. on Saturdays. We arrived before 7 at 6:25 pm. My niece and nephew were excited to get their boba treats. The place was still lighted and the young male cashier was on the phone. But when we started ordering, the cashier said the place was closed "early," because of a "low number of business" that day. We did not understand because we wanted to buy five drinks, which would have been a good sales transaction for the business. The cashier was adamant he was closing the store early and we left the store without getting any service. This experience was highly disappointing and not conducive to good customer service. We ended up going to the nearby Baskin Robbins, which consistently provides excellent service. I hope the Milk Tea Lab owner either changes this practice of closing early and turning existing customers away, or if this was an anomaly, to prevent this from happening again. This experience tended to sour our view of the business, which is a shame because we've liked coming to this place in the past. read more

Very terrible customer service! If you see Xander, might as well just go somewhere else. Very disrespectful worker, unprofessional too. My daughter ordered regular fries, and as well as rushing her Xander was also being rude to her friends as well. When my daughter came outside she saw that her fries had beef and pork in them and he gave her the menu item titled "Lab fries" instead. While it was a hassle and after a lot of arguments with the worker, and the manager them self, we received our fries but they ended up being incredibly salty and undercooked.
