Receipt with prices for everything I ordered
    Veronica C.

I'm on vacation in Washington visiting family and friends and my best friend and I planned to meet at our favorite bar in University Place but she got held up at work an extra hour so I had to figure out somewhere nearby to go in the meantime. I just happened to drive by Trader Joe's and noticed a sign that said "TOMO Tea House" which must be somewhat new as I had never seen it before when I lived in Washington a couple years ago. I decided to check it out. They have dubai chocolate strawberries which I love but of course they're very expensive (like $15 for a cup) and I wasn't willing to pay that much for just one item here today. I ended up going with a couple mochi donuts and a latte instead which came out to about the same price as the one cup of Dubai strawberries would have. I got the rose latte hot and with almond milk and chose the cinnamon bun and banana donuts. The rose latte is very good. It has a beautiful floral flavor but isn't overly perfume-y like some floral flavored drinks are. The cinnamon bun donut is very delicious! It's exactly what I expected. The banana one is tasty but is very lightly flavored compared to the cinnamon bun one. Right after I ordered, a teenage couple came in and ordered a dubai strawberry cup and the boyfriend of the couple asked if they could do a banana dubai cup for him which they were able to do and OMG- I should have done that!! It looked absolutely divine and now I wish I came in and ordered just a couple moments later than I did so I could be behind and say "I'll take what he had!" But oh well, it's alright cause I got 3 items for the price they paid for one of those cups LOL Next time I'm in the area though, I'm coming back and I am getting them dubai bananas !!!

It's just lovely in there! It's so pink and pretty, I loved every second. The mochi donuts were fluffy, The Dubai strawberries were portioned good and the drink was to live for! Can't really give any critiques on the service either it was very fast! I'm very happy with how clean and tidy the area is too.

Went for a Yelp Event and ended up buying for my husband to try! He thought it was alright, but I absolutely loved the Pandan Milk Tea with an ube donut to match. He got the Thai Tea. The donut tasted like a mochi donut. Was not too sweet and wasnt heavy. Wish there was more of an ube taste to the donut though. The Pandan Milk Tea kind of reminded me of Buko Pandan. It had a strong coconut and sweet flavor that I honestly appreciated and loved. My husband thought the Thai tea was way too sweet. They offer a 16 oz and 24 oz for all their drinks. Overall, I will definitely come back!

We were in the shopping center and thought a little sweet treat would be nice. They let us try the mochi donuts before deciding. I ended up getting the Strawberry Croffle and my friend got the Funnel Cake Mochi Donut. The Croffle definitely needs the strawberries for a little freshness to it and they paired perfectly with it. We both enjoyed our treats and the person behind the counter was friendly and answered all of our silly questions.

Food quality: it tasted fine. To me it was average and nothing really stood out Service: good, I had a short interaction and it went smoothly and was fine. Atmosphere: cute atmosphere Notes: I've been here a few times and unfortunately for me it's just average. The drinks are too sweet and don't taste very fresh or special.

I was so excited to try this local spot with the Dubai chocolate strawberries. Of course I couldn't help but order other stuff too. Walking in, the aesthetics were nice, the pink, rose gold and the floral decor were so fitting. I was super disappointed that the strawberries were half full and not sweet. The mango sago drink was watery with chunks of ice and not full either. The service needs improvement. Not a smile, barely acknowledged and when our order was ready, it was slid across the counter and the server just walked away before I grabbed it. I wasn't even handed a straw or spoon. Hospitality was lacking. Not returning as the prices were high for a lack of customer service.

Super friendly staff! They've got a new strawberry rose mochi donut. Love that they brought the coconut matcha cloud experience to the area! My friend got the brown sugar milk tea but didn't realize you had to add your own toppings and that it didn't just come with tapioca. Love the cutesy shop and I bet it's very visually aesthetic with the perfect bright lighting- unfortunately I went after dark.

Omg, if you love creative drinks, coffee,or Vietnamese tea, then you need to be here. This cafe is beautifully decorated. So much fun. Reminds me of all the cute cafes I visited while living in Korea. It's just waiting for vloggers or to bump your selfie game. But more importantly, the drinks and mochi donuts are SO good for any age. I got a coffee with egg cream and my kiddo got a coconut water with strawberry cream and oh my gosh, I wish I could afford to go there everyday.

Brown Sugar Creme Brûlée Milk Tea & the Dubai Croffle

I don't even care if I sound biased because I LOVE kanaf... but this place just did something to me The Dubai cruffle??? Yeah... I get the hype now. It was insanely soft, like melt-in-your-mouth type soft, and the strawberries came in clutch with that fresh balance. Nothing was overly sweet or heavy -- everything just worked together perfectly. Only tiny note: I lowkey wish the chocolate and whipped cream came on the side because if you're a slow eater (me ) it can get a little soggy. But after the first few bites you genuinely stop caring because it tastes that good. NOW THE DRINKS. I got the brown sugar boba with crème brûlée and my friend got the matcha strawberry with their strawberry jam -- and when I say I almost stole his drink... I'm not joking somehow both drinks were equally amazing in completely different ways. Like I still wanted mine AND his. Important detail: they let you choose your sweetness level for the matcha + strawberry jam drink (which I loved because you can really customize it). 75% = perfect balance 50-75% = safe zone 25-50% = if you don't like much sweetness (I wouldn't go lower tbh) BUT for the brown sugar crème brûlée -- you don't pick a sweetness level, and honestly it doesn't even need it. It already hits exactly how it should. We got 2 Dubai cruffles and 2 (16oz) drinks for about $40 and I'm telling you right now... worth every single cent. I never understood why people get attached to boba spots or cafés like that... until now. I still wouldn't call myself a boba person (I didn't even finish the pearls at the end ), but the drinks alone completely sold me. Already planning my next visit -- and I'm more than happy to keep supporting this place anytimeeee

Kept seeing friends post this spot, so had to give it a go. This location is inside the same strip mall area as Trader Joe's, but more near Mud Bay. The shop has a couple tables outside and a couch and a few tables inside. You order at the kiosk which there are two. This location has things from mochi donuts to croffles to the Dubai strawberries. The staff was friendly. . I ordered the Dubai Chocolate Strawberry and Mango and Cream & Thai Tea Creme Brulee drinks. The mango and cream was the loved product . The Thai Team Creme Brulee was not as expected and tasted more like when you just brew the actual tea and throw some cream in there. So if you're expecting Thai tea flavor from like a Thai restaurant, this wouldn't be it.

Hidden gem in University Place! Drinks are so good, atmosphere is so cute and the girls working were super helpful when trying to figure out what to get on the menu. Honestly the service cause of been crap and I'll still be back cause the food and drinks were that good lol

Strawberry Banana Cream & Banana Matcha Bliss!!!! YUMM

First & foremost I was greeted right away, the inside is so beautiful. If you're someone that is into cute photos in restaurants or cafe you'll have a blast here the decor is sweet, simple, & vibrant. LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MY DRINK, I got it 3 days ago & I'm still thinking about it, most amazing drink I've had in a long time & very affordable.

    Mango sago and Dubai chocolate

Recently had tomo tea cater drinks, mango sago, donuts and Dubai chocolate at my daughter's birthday. The process was simple and easy. Placed my order 2 weeks before the party and picked up my items the day of the party. Everything was ready and packaged very neatly. My guest was all very impressed with the drinks and dessert. Everyone was asking where we got the drinks and donuts. Was very happy with the service and how simple and easy it was to place my order. Will definitely be using them again for future parties.

Ask the Community - TOMO Tea House

Did you rename the business or have new management? I remember it use to be a store called Bober Tea and Coffee about a year ago.

We rebranded but are under the same management. Because of rebranding we're now able to branch out and sell different drinks, flavors, and even waffles.

The shop was clean, the staff was incredibly friendly and made it very easy to order. I don't know much about boba. They had some suggestions that helped me out. I ended up getting a mango smoothie with mango boba. The burger was great... slick sliced bacon on top. I will definitely be back for more burgers and boba.

So, I like to try new places. And this is a new place. Being a new place they should go above and…read morebeyond to get and keep your business. Let's start with walking in. Noticed a sign that said Grand Opening 50% off EVERYTHING. And they have a lot on their menu from burgers and fries to fish and chips. Shakes and bubble tea to donuts. And every kind of banana bread you could want.....but ONLY banana bread. And upon entering the place looked kind of thrown together and the employees, two young male kids, were just sitting down because they were not busy AT ALL. I ordered a large chocolate shake, chocolate bar donut and a small loaf of banana bread. 1) Chocolate shake. Was served on a bubble tea cup and had ice in it. To me this is not a shake. You don't put ICE in a shake. Because of the cup and the ice, which killed any flavor and consistency I give it a 3. Especially since the cashier asked me not twice BUT THREE DIFFERENT TIMES WHAT SIZE I WANTED. I was very clear on this. 2) The chocolate bar I ordered I didn't open the bag until I got to the car. It was a maple bar. I was clear and specific on that item as well. Anyway, it was kinda blah. I give it a 2. Pao's on 6th Ave is the place for doughnuts....JUST AN FYI. 3) Banana bread had just come out of a cooler and was accepted cold. Won't taste it right now, I want it to be warm. So, the food was so so, service sucked, and there is still big chunks of ice in my shake cup. I don't know who the owner is but they need to restructure their business plan and make a shake Sorry I couldn't say anything better.
