This spot has so many good options, but my personal favorites are definitely the crab rangoons and vermicelli bowls! The crab rangoons are crispy, flavorful, and so good that I could honestly eat them by themselves. But I do love that they serve it with the sweet chili sauce on the side. The vermicelli bowls are fresh, filling, and packed with flavor. The fish sauce is comes with is delicious as well! The bánh mì sandwiches are yummy too, love the fish sauce wings and the fries are surprisingly good! For drinks, my absolute favorite is the jasmine oolong milk tea with crème brûlée topping and grass jelly. The combination is SO good and definitely my go-to every time. Lots of tasty food and drinks to choose from--definitely worth trying if you're craving Vietnamese food and boba!
Great boba shop! I had their brown sugar milk boba and it was very good! The drink was sweet but not overwhelming of it! The boba was prepped well and soft/chewy. I LOVED the rock ice that they included in the drinks. For some reason, it makes a huge difference to the drink! The ambiance was great. Nice lighting and decorations. There's a decent amount of seating as well. The service was good. Our questions were addressed and the drinks didn't take long to make. I'll definitely will be coming back here!
Took my daughter here to celebrate some good news at school. The two gents working tonight were like the nicest ever. My girl was having trouble deciding on what she wanted so the made her a "POG freeze" off of the secret menu. It was incredibly tasty. I got the brown sugar boba which is my go to everywhere. The kids got to pose with the little Yak in the font which is fun. There are a ton of games to play if you bring friends. Super clean. Fun place to be and the drinks are great. Definitely go here.
Super good coffee, and cute interior for sit and relax. I took my order to go but enjoyed looking at the cute cow decor and their plushies for sale. Baristas were super friendly. The Ube Phin is DELICIOUS. Good, strong coffee topped with a chocolately ube cream. Also, for my ice chewers: ice was kinda fun to chew
Visited with my bestie and we loved the atmosphere and bubble tea here! We ordered a Brown Sugar Boba Latte w/ extra Brown Sugar Boba for a topping and Black Milk Tea w/ Brown Sugar Boba for a topping. We both loved ours. The boba was super squishy, the drink wasnt overly watered nor sugary, and we got a deal of buy one get one 50%. Not sure if its a regular Sunday thing, but was a great deal. Plus the drinks were only $8. Overall, we will definitely come back!
Cute store and a great addition to Proctor. Prices are just slightly steeper than other boba in Tacoma. Quality and taste is normal! I really wish the plastic products used weren't so thick, it feels wasteful.
Decent part of town near the fire station. Clean area with decent street parking but also Safeway or Met Market are nearby about a 5 minute walk away. Cute mascot, decor, and overall ambiance. Wifi available and ample seating. One restroom inside. Sugar levels are a bit weird as they don't offer quarter levels, only full, half, or zero. Less ice is available but they use crunchy ice and honestly, I don't think my ice preference changed much. Jasmine Oolong Milk Tea w/ Boba - honey boba was chewy but could have been cooked a bit longer. A bit on the firmer side and the sweetness was faint, being coated in honey rather than marinated in brown sugar. Oolong tea was present, more on the sweeter and roasted side instead of the floral, green tea side. Overall, a drink that matched expectations but nothing special. Ube Milk w/ Boba - while similar to taro, ube drinks usually are more genuine (rather than powder) or at least stronger in taste. Also slightly sweeter, the flavor was distinct and creamy with milk. I saw the drink labelled as new, but not sure how long that's been there. More of a specialty drink that can be found at the occasional boba spot. Same comments as above for boba.
Came here again, but with Jaric, and got to play the uni cards among the many board games available at this spots. Ordered the crème brûlée milk tea with boba that was underwhelming in its sweetness. I got the brown sugar milk tea with boba for jaric, and that order was way better because it was not mellow in its taste. The boba was okay. Good enough, yes, but not one to revisit. I only came by here Again because it is what was open in Lacey later in the night at 2100 or 9PM. The staff also had conflicting information between one another where one thought that there was not enough tapioca balls to make another boba drink for us, but the other staff member said that there was just enough. This took place at the cashier area, so Jaric and I were lost on the ultimate availability of boba toppings. I like that there is a couch-&&3 booth and regular table seating for those who plan to stay by. I like that the lights are not so in your face with the brightness because it made it easy on the eyes.
Stopped by the attraction from those cute toy signs, this seemed a milk tea and boba store relatively new (actually over a year now) in a non-Asian district in Tacoma. Probably a little too sweet and less options (particularly with real fruit choices in other stores) comparing to such typical Chinese / Taiwan food drinks.
La Boba is located in proctor district just north of 26th st. It has a spacious interior for those wanting to hang out and enjoy their drinks at the cafe. It's counter service and I was the only one in there so my drink came out quickly. I got a taro milk tea with half sugar and it was delicious. This is a great spot to visit post run!
I missed the grand opening but finally got a chance to come by today. Nice interior aesthetic, comfy seating, and best of all no line! Service was quick and friendly. Selection is in line with most other boba places. Quality is solid. My orientation to boba was in Los Angeles, where boba competition is fierce and east LA is just dominated with a Taiwanese community, aka the Boba Making Experts. Tacoma has been lacking a properly cooked boba pearl! I have had so many mushy exterior/al dente interior boba pearls and that is NOT how it should be! Luckily for laboba, they have a thoroughly cooked boba pearl, nice chewiness, but slightly smaller in size than average. I got the ube drizzle latte with boba, less ice, and less sweet (50% is the least sugar option, they tell me they don't pre-sweeten their drinks). Came out to over $8 but that is the average price for boba nowadays T_T. Sweetness was medium and comes in a study plastic cup. I still wish they could do 25% sweetness! They also have waffles but that will need to wait for another day. Verdict: better than the existing chain-boba shops, but still not something I can afford daily (in my wallet and my belly).

OMG! They are adding Banh Mi to their brand starting 9/14/26. Looks like they are changing the name to La Banh Mi. I hope the food is as good as the drinks. It's hard not to get addicted to their drinks! I was hooked after my first sip. Split Cup option is great because I often want 2 different drinks. My go to is Pog Green Tea and Avocado Freeze. I don't visit Proctor much but I have been 3x in the last month. read more
Really cute spot that seems like a great place to socialize with your friends. Comfy seats, some cards and game options Menu is very varied Got a lychee drink but the jasmine tea in it was too bitter/strong. To be fair, we arrived within 30 mins of closing so maybe the tea had been sitting. Really nice workers. read more
Laboba Milk Tea & Coffee was the perfect stop for a mid-day sweet treat! The inside of the shop immediately stood out to me with how modern, clean, and inviting everything looked. The menu was very straightforward and easy to navigate, which made ordering quick and easy. Finding street parking was surprisingly simple, and the shop was just a short walk away, making it a convenient little stop during the day. The service was also super fast and friendly. Since it was my first time visiting, they recommended the Lychee Blast fruit tea, and it ended up being the perfect choice. It was incredibly refreshing. They also have a huge variety of boba drinks to choose from along with other desserts and treats. Their croffles especially caught my eye, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try one next time. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in the mood for something sweet and refreshing! read more

My all time favorite boba spot! The ambiance is cozy, very nice spot to study or chill with friends/family. The staff are pretty friendly, and the drinks are yummy. Matcha can be hit or miss depending on who's whisking your matcha but overall great place. I highly recommend :) read more

Laboba Milk Tea & Coffee I wasn't sure how long was open because it became so infrequent that we would go to the Proctor neighborhood to shop and visit in Tacoma. But after asking I was told that it hasn't been too long and that it had been about four months. There a certainly a lot of options here to choose from and many looked quite tempting. In the end I got the Brown Sugar flavor with Boba Tapioca balls at the bottom. It was so good! The brown sugar was very tasty and while sweet it wasn't overkill on sugar. Steve got a apple flavored type drink that was a lot like a soda. Similar to the drinks that come in the bottles where in order to open it you have to push a glass marble down further into the bottle but his tasted more on the craft scale. Now that was sugary and you had to take your time with that. Lots of other options to explore. You can get other things to go to the bottom of your cup besides Tapioca balls but my heart always lies with those and will continue to do so. Bright and cheerful in atmosphere this is a great place to swing by for all of your boba tea needs! read more
This boba shop is so aesthetically pleasing! There's a giant water buffalo statue and it's perfect for photo opportunities! There's free parking on the side and you have to walk a little but it's worth it. We ordered the sea foam phin ($6.50) and the brown sugar boba latte ($6.45). The sea foam phin was so yummy! I highly recommend! It was strong and the sea foam balanced it out. They use nugget ice and that's the best ice for Vietnamese coffee. read more
My cousin and I were having dinner in the area, and of course, I wanted bubble tea after. This was nearby, and I've been wanting to try the place. I ordered the Kiwi Grape Bliss. I thought the flavor was alright, but the tapioca was too mushy. Service was great though, and the place is cute. I'll probably give it another chance if I'm in the area. read more
Popped in and got the ube drizzle latte, as far as ube drinks, this one didn't have a strong ube flavor like other places- it was pretty subtle. The drink was cute, the logo is cute, the shop is big and bright, service is friendly. They did check to make sure condensed milk was ok because we had asked about the milk used. They use nondairy creamer so you don't have to use a milk alternative (the only option is oat). Would do 3.5 stars. read more

This place is located in a wonderful area with lots of cute shops and restaurants. When you walk in you notice it's very clean and welcoming. There are plenty places to sit and hang out with friends. Menu options are great and prices are reasonable compared to other shops. Service was just OK. That being said I don't expect much from high school students as this may be their first job and they are getting the hang of customer service. We didn't wait long to get our drinks. The drinks were delicious. We tried their Crème Brûlée latte(highly recommend) and the Hawaiian tea(also amazing). The first sip was magical. Not at all what we expected. Soooo good. We will be back. A MUST MUST try! You won't regret coming here. read more
Came here during the grand opening day. They were still getting things sorted out so the line and service was chaotic. But worth the wait. I love Vietnamese coffee over any other coffee cause of its unique, strong, and rich taste, and the caffeine is powerful. Their Vietnamese coffee is legit. It's indeed strong. And love the tiny crushed iced. That's my favorite type of ice in Vietnamese coffee. Pricing was also decent. I think I can do without the coconut sea foam since the coffee was sweet by itself. The foam did however add a nice creamy element to it. read more

I was having quite a day today and decided I needed a little pick me up. My daughter and I decided to run over and try the new boba place on Proctor. It's really cute inside, comfortable, and the staff are super friendly! Holy smokes! Our drinks were DELICIOUS! I had the taro ube dream freeze and my daughter had the choco taro oreo freeze. The service was quick, the honey boba was warm, which was a fantastic contrast with the icy beverage, and the flavor was perfect. I can't wait to go back and try everything! read more

We tried this place yesterday, and not only is it cute, but the staff was super welcoming. I believe I got a white mocha with sea salt foam, and my cousin got the crème brûlée drink. It was delicious and the cup is so cute! I will visit here again. read more

A really cute boba cafe in the Proctor neighborhood. Parking is difficult to find unless you park by the apartments or the Met Market. There's lots of seatings for group hangouts or studying. Service was very friendly and fast too. Unfortunately my friend and I didn't really enjoy our drinks. I ordered the taro Ube dream freeze and it was extremely sweet. I tried to dilute it with water and it was still really sweet. There was a lot of taro powder but no Ube taste, proportions needs to be adjusted. It was also not well-blended because you can see some of the pink coloring spots in the drink and it also wasn't filled all the way up. I thought it was a little overpriced for the quality too. My friend got the creme brûlée phin coffee and thought the coffee was too strong and didn't have much creme brûlée taste to it :( read more

Tasty experience. Got the taro ube dream with boba. Not too sweet. Good flavors. Spacious interior, and clean. Friendly and efficient staff. Service relatively quick, though they only had one person making the drinks. Overall, I'm very glad the neighborhood has this place. read more

First impression, the boba shop is so well decorated! It reminds me of cafes in Asia! The chairs are super comfortable. As for the boba, I got the Jasmine Oolong milk tea with 50% sweetness and boba. The tea flavor was really good and strong however the boba pearls could be chewier and more flavorful. Looking forward to trying different flavors. read more

This place opened few days ago and I had to check it out. Came here to try their Vietnamese coffee and croffles-They didn't disappoint! the staff were very friendly, cozy atmosphere and love their vietnamese coffee-hit the spot! I ordered their La Special Coffee, Creme Brulee Milk tea, strawberry croffle and creme brulee croffle(forgot to take a photo).. all freakin goood! I would go back! read more
This boba spot is such a nice place to go. Alot of open space and plenty of seats and tables to hangout at. They have a pretty large boba selection. I ordered the kiwi grape fruit tea. It was really delicious and would recommended it to anyone who enjoys fruity drinks! read more
