Stopped by the Santee Bojangles drive-thru and drove away happy. We ordered a Cajun chicken filet biscuit, some Bo Bites, and a two-piece fried chicken dinner with dirty rice and sweet tea. The line was busy -- four cars ahead of us and at least as many behind -- but service was quick and well-organized. Everything came out hot, fresh, and tasty. Drive thru Started off by asking if they served breakfast all day, got a mumbled reply that sounded like "not here". So I said okay let me get the chicken sandwich combo, and never heard a word back. Pulled up to the window and got charged $7.58, so I just assumed she heard me and put in my order...nah. I got handed a large order of hashbrowns and two cups of Bo sauce. Stopped in for to go while on vacation. I stood in front of the register. Two employees came and got something from the register. No hello, nothing. I waited a few moments. Noticed an employee go out the door and unlock a door with a huge ring of keys. All the while she was wearing her gloves. She went back to prepping food without changing gloves. We ordered chicken tender meals tonight around 6:00. They were terrible. I believe they were fried (too much) mid afternoon! They should have been thrown in the trash by Bojangles. Biscuit was very good and mashed potatoes were good. Please do better. read more

Let's start with the good....renovations. That's about it. We entered through the gas station and split up. I went to the restroom. It was clean enough, but no mirrors? I assume because of new tiling on the walls. Bet I looked at hot mess after the drive, oh well. My husband went to the counter to make a purchase and was ignored. He said it was a bit rude and really awkward so he walked away. On to the Bojangles I suppose. Nope, no menu board. Now if I was a diehard fan I'd have the menu memorized. Sadly it's been years since my last visit. We are now on to the next exit to hopefully find a better experience. Overall, if it wasn't for the recent renovations this would easily be a one star experience. But as my husband just said, "you can't put lipstick on a pig." I feel that. read more

The whole place was a mess. I ordered a breast and wing and got a thigh n leg - no drink and only one side and it was the wrong one! :( The girl had no idea about the menu, even the simple seasoning I wanted to buy. DO NOT GO HERE! The employees were all rude. The cashier taking my order shorted me in my change. Since it was only a few cents short I didn't make a big deal about it. I just let it slide since the cashier had a bad attitude. The employee that filled my order filled my order gave me all the smallest pieces of chicken. I did not know this until I went back to my hotel room to eat. I also had to ask her twice for my drink cup. I felt I was being discriminated against from the time I walked in. If you're looking for a soft, fluffy and fresh biscuit, this is the place to get it. The chicken is ok. Pretty standard. The green beans were good. The rice and potatoes not so much. But the biscuits are really good. They were out of Bojangles sauce, I'd like to have tried it. The sweet tea was also pretty good. The pimento cheese was also good. The location wasn't nearly as neat as it could/should be for a stop over attached to a gas station with a drive through. There wasn't enough staff and not enough space to wait for meals. We had to wipe down our own table because it didn't look clean (food crumbs, etc) the food was so so. Not great and not terrible. It was generic. My husband had chicken stripes and I had a chicken salad. My salad was exactly fresh. The tomatoes looked good but we're old and tasted off. The wait for food to be prepared was longer than other locations and it seemed like the staff were catering to the drive through versus a reasonable mixture of both. Wouldn't recommend. read more

I traveled from PA and we don't have a Bonjangles in our area so i was excited to get the chicken bites. They were under cooked and big chunks. I remember them having grill marks and actually being bite sized. My husband and i both got them. I took 2 bites and was done. My husband isn't picky and he took one bite couldn't eat it. Luckily the biscuits fries and mashed potatoes were good and filled us up. 10/28/2021: Bojangles #820, Check 30031. Purchased a Sausage & Egg biscuit and coffee. Drove to work (5 minute drive from Bojangles), opened the biscuit and it was a sausage biscuit only that appeared to be a good hour old. The biscuit was warm (at best) and dry, actually very dry and crispy. The sausage was maybe 1/4" thick and 2" in diameter. This is the worst biscuit I've ever purchased at Bojangles and it did not have egg as ordered. 11/3/2021: Went to same Bojangle's this morning. This time the sausage and egg biscuit was fresh, but very little egg and sausage was less than 1/4 " thick again. Biscuit was also flat. Entire biscuit was 1 1/8 thick. Totally ridiculous! read more

Bojangles breakfast is normally pretty good. I ordered the Cajun filet biscuit combo, but there wasn't nothing Cajun about this biscuit. There was no seasoning on it and but the bisucit was fresh and fluffy. The bo rounds were decent. Still beats other fast food breakfasts. read more

This was the absolute slowest drive thru I have ever experienced. It took 30 minutes to get to the window and the staff were not friendly. I understand that to make these delicious tenders it takes some time, but the food was ready when we pulled up to the window just sitting there...which makes me think that the staff were just being slow. I get that people have bad days, but this experience was not acceptable! The reason I'm giving 2 stars is for the food only, because bojangles is always good and they gave us an extra tender in our kids supremes. Gotta give credit where credit is due. read more

I am in disbelief of the treatment my husband and other patrons received in the Santee, SC store today by the manager. My husband is an owner operator truck driver and cannot access the drive through so goes inside to place orders. He went to the door and another customer held it open for him, he walks towards the counter and a customer walks past him and looks at him and says "good luck". I can only imagine the treatment she had just received. He proceeded to the counter and hears the staff fussing about the door being unlocked. One employee said "someone else just came in" to which the manager replied "ain't the sign on the door? Well kick that MOTHERFUCKER out then!" We called the restaurant and recognized the woman's voice but she refused to give her name. She was the dark skinned black woman wearing a gray shirt and fake hair with a raspy voice. The time was 4:20pm While in the restaurant he also observed her kick another family, with children out. It is not ok that she thinks she can use that language towards any customer or around children! If they don't want customers inside, there should be a sign on the door and the door should remain locked!!! This disgusting "customer service" is completely unacceptable! read more

We waited at the drive through for a half hour because they took so long. So we had to ask 3 cars behind us to back up and let us out. And there was not an emergency escape, if there was a fire we would be fucked. ALSO there is no indication from the street that there is a drive through and once you round the corner you are trapped there. Have a better and bigger sign assholes. read more

I visited this location as a pit stop on a long road trip home. Luckily, this is not my first experience at Bojangles... nor my last... as I have gone for years and never complained. I will not however return to this location. I ordered a cajun filet biscuit combo with ice tea like I have done 100s of times before. I waited on my order for around 5 minutes and I saw the biscuit sit on the line wrapped the entire time. I know because of the red wrapper they always come in. So seeing that I knew the wait was not for the biscuit... and who knows how long that biscuit was sitting there. While I was waiting I saw a water bug crawl across a dine in tray as the cashier was taking the person in lines order. Seeing this I was already skeptical of how the food was going to taste and I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. I took 2 bites of my biscuit once I got in the car and not only was it not crispy chicken... it was soggy, and had the texture of under cooked chicken. I proceeded to throw out this fraud of a Cajun Filet Biscuit and went to Taco Bell down the street. This is the WORST place to come!!! We waited in line for 25 minutes in the drive up to just order (theres no way to get out otherwise we would have). The girl at the window was rude!!! Great food, but terrible employees with the shittiest attitudes. Employee walked away from us at the drive-thru while we were talking to her and shut the window. Literally all we wanted was a 2nd cup of Ranch and she said that we had to pay for them, so we got the change out and she just gave us 1 and shut the door, not even giving us a chance to give her the change to get the 2nd cup. Simple request that seemed to end the employees world when asked. Word to the wise, don't come here unless you want to be helped out by a rude and pissy employee, only good reason to come here would be the convenient location! read more

Very bad experience at this location. We had just arrived in Santee after traveling many hours by car from Maryland. After entering the restaurant, we waited at the counter for 10 minutes and no one acknowledged our presence. Just in case we missed the sign indicating the inside was closed, since the restaurant is connected to a gas station, we asked, "Is the inside closed?". After many eye rolls and bored expressions, someone from the back finally yelled, Mary will be with y'all soon. Soon turned into 8 more minutes. Once Mary arrived, she was pleasant, but said it would 7 minutes on chicken. That was frustrating, because if someone had served us when we walked in, the chicken could have been started and ready by that point. Since we were in Santee and everything else was burgers, we waited. 20 minutes later we finally had a box of hot chicken with sides. Upon checking into our Wyndham property, we found overcooked dry chicken breasts and under-cooked thighs. Very, very disappointed. read more
